why does that make him a bitch? He sent them there to get a specific type of training and coaching. With his son gone, they're not going to get what he sent them there for, so there's no reason for them to be at that club. Doesn't make him a bitch, it makes him a smart manager.

LOL yeah nothing personal about that move at all. [Edited on December 30, 2010 at 12:41 PM. Reason : f]

12/30/2010 1:57:55 PM
Nah dude, I feel like I'm an impartial party and that was a dick move.
12/30/2010 2:02:07 PM
^ I'm gonna second that
12/30/2010 2:06:04 PM
haha like I'm the only one to point it out. It was petty and vindictive, there's no denying that shit. Okay, he wants them back, whatever. He could have at least let them finish the two games they had left on the original loan deal. blah blah blah they have every right to recall the players blah blah, it was a dick move
12/30/2010 2:10:26 PM
i don't know much about the situation, but if there were only 2 games left on the loan contract it was definitely a bitch move. it's cool if you call them back, but honor your commitments.
12/30/2010 2:17:59 PM
players don't go out on loan for the training, it's for the first team opportunities and competition, which they definitely wouldn't have at manchester united. obviously they weren't helping preston out much, since they are dead last place, but cutting their loan deal 2 games short is pretty spiteful by SAF. it's dumb and it hurts his own players more than it does preston.
12/30/2010 2:45:33 PM
I will point one finger at Giuseppi Rossi, Newcastle, 2007, and leave it at that.if you think that managers of SAF's class just send players out to get playing time then you are patently naive. There is a reason Danny Welbeck went to go play for Steve Bruce, there is a reason Tom Cleverly is playing for Roberto Martinez, there's a reason why United players have been shipped off on loan to Royal Antwerp.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 2:57 PM. Reason : actually I cant just leave it at that]You send players somewhere where you KNOW your tactics, training, and education are going to be reenforced, not undermined. They've invested thousands of pounds in time, and thousands of man hours in getting these players to the point where they can contribute to the club, either now or in the future. If a system that you entrusted them to be a part of is no longer functional because of sacking the manager (and most likely his backroom staff), then you pull your players immediately. That's not personal, that's straight up business.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 3:03 PM. Reason : .]
12/30/2010 2:51:45 PM
nobody's arguing those reasons, his relationships with other coaches are obviousRecalling these two players with immediate effect is petty and has nothing to do with the proper training. Its revenge, pure and simple.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 3:03 PM. Reason : .]
12/30/2010 3:03:10 PM
That's your jaded opinion.....and you're making the argument that if Steve Bruce got sacked, SAF wouldn't call back Welbeck immediately or.... oh no, you're just whining about shit.Like you always do.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 3:06 PM. Reason : .]
12/30/2010 3:04:16 PM
well whatever, I expected you to disagreebut my opinion would be the same no matter who the father/son combo was, so this isn't just blind hatredIn case you haven't noticed, there are other United fans and neutrals without a MUFC-hating agenda that agree with me.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 3:11 PM. Reason : .]
12/30/2010 3:09:55 PM
It's pretty obvious to those that frequent this thread that jadn will blindly defend anything United at all costs despite majority opinion and overwhelming evidence to the contrary. That's not all bad, as teams need fans like that, but it also makes people take what you say with a grain of salt because you have an agenda.
12/30/2010 3:15:35 PM
well yeahI just don't get why it's so important to defend him in this instance. I'm not calling him a shit manager, he obviously knows what he's doing with all his trophies and success. But he's an asshole and always has been. What's the big deal?
12/30/2010 3:20:31 PM
If Preston was in last place of Championship or League One or whatever league they're in then the tactics and training they're receiving don't really have much to do with it. It's a lower league club so they can't possibly offer anywhere close to the same resources as probably even the reserve team at United or first team at Sunderland or Wigan. You don't send players to a bottom level team in League One to get expert training and tactics. You send them there to get experience playing in a competitive league in games that actually mean something. If they only have two games left before the loan deal is up, it's better to just let them finish off the original deal than look all vindictive because your son is inept.
12/30/2010 3:24:42 PM
I'm not defending him because I'm a United fan, I'm defending it because you make a dumbassed statement crying about shit that any other manager worth a least one quarter of a shit on the planet would've done.Players get recalled from their loans like this all the time and you don't hear word one about it. You latch on to a non-story just because it's got SAF's name attached to it.
12/30/2010 3:32:49 PM
okay, please find me an example of this happening and I will say I was wrongUpon further reflection, you're right. That entire WEEK of training under a different manager would have undone all that specialized Fergie training-method work they've learned this season. This clearly has nothing to do with Ferguson being an asshole.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 3:42 PM. Reason : u rite]

^ Dude, this wouldn't even be news if SAF's name wasn't attached to it. Players get recalled from their loans all the time.United players recalled from place when son of United manager coached! Must be a scandal! Nevermind that players get recalled from loan all the time! United manager said to be fuming mad - by unattributed sources!Sources say Moon made of green cheese!Sources say Earth headed for a global cooling period! Next Ice age is on tap! (1975)Sources say Earth is reaching unprecedented warming levels! Sweltering summers in store! (2000)Sources say Jews cause 9/11! (2002)Sources say....do you see where I'm going here?Give me a bit and I gladly will. It's going to be tough because loaned-out players get at most 2-3 sentence blurbs if they're lucky, regardless of circumstance.[Edited on December 30, 2010 at 3:54 PM. Reason : your sarcasm is noted and is enough to stop the search, sir.][Edited on December 30, 2010 at 4:00 PM. Reason : stop taking this bullshit at face value from the media just because it has a famous name attached]
12/30/2010 3:45:34 PM
lol what is going on here...i can see both sides being right about this. maybe it was a dick move, maybe it was a business move. i know in my manager games when i send players out on loan i send attacking players to clubs that are interested who attack similarly or attack often and i send defensive players to places that play an offside line defense or are for the most part solid at the back.im not sure why this is even really news though. who cares that he took back players on loan. its not like they were helping anyway. if preston were paying the players salaries then at least they will save money now. also in my game you have the option of either being able to or not being able to recall your players...i mean MU own these players so its not like they are doing anything wrong. they prob had a clause that they could recall them anytime they wanted. why not do it now while that club is going through turmoil now
12/30/2010 4:10:02 PM
12/30/2010 4:19:17 PM
dude, the loan was going to end in a fucking weekthis isn't just SAF telling them they wouldn't renew the loan for the remainder of the season. This was ending the loan immediately RIGHT after his son got fired... if they didn't want their players to continue, what would have been the harm in just letting them finish out the loan? you're right, it wouldn't have been a story if they played two more games and United found them a different club. But Fergie did it now on purpose to make a point not to fuck with him or anyone in his coaching tree
12/30/2010 4:26:19 PM
Yeah guys, your ManU fanboyism is really getting the better of you at the moment.
12/30/2010 4:29:36 PM
nope, it's a mountain being made out of a molehill and you kids taking it hook line and sinker
12/30/2010 4:49:53 PM
I'll tell you right now that I am fairly casual fan of soccer and honestly I don't give a fuck. I hardly ever watch/read news stories about what's going on in any league in the world and generally just watch games. I have an above average knowledge of players from playing FIFA/Football Manager but I definitely don't concern myself with the intricate and intimate details of day-to-day news in the football world. That said, as an impartial witness to these events, it was a dick move. If they have less than a week to go before the loan deal finishes anyway, just let them stay. Apparently they wanted to stay. Like I said further up on this page, they aren't there to get stellar training. They're there to get some competitive experience. It had nothing to do with the fact that they would be getting different training and everything to do with spite for firing his son. It was a dick move. You're the one making a mountain out of a molehill. Obviously aimorris is just posting it to get a rise out of you and you feel it's necessary to jump up and defend the shit out SAF for something that is pretty obvious to indifferent observers is petty and vindictive. Get a fucking grip dude and chill the fuck out. It's NOT that big of a deal.
12/30/2010 4:59:37 PM
12/30/2010 5:08:26 PM
If it's not a big deal at all then why are you putting up such a huge fight in SAF's honor? It seems that you care very very much about it. I'm just trying to:1) Understand why you can't just admit it was kind of a dick move to recall the loan players when they enjoyed being there and had <1 week remaining on the original deal.2) Understand why you have this incessant need to blindly defend everything ManU does. We get that you're a huge fan and everything but you're seriously trying to take on every single user that posts in this thread on this minor issue. It makes you look childish and petty.I'm seriously not even trying to troll you or anything. I don't care about it at all and I'm sure pretty much everyone else in this thread doesn't care either. But you feel the need to rush in here and defend everything ManU related. You're the one making a huge deal out of it because you can't see past your allegiances (which is noble in a way) but it's kind of like of Republicans think Bush was infallible just to avoid losing any face. If you could have just not replied or left it alone we wouldn't be halfway down on page 37 by now.
12/30/2010 5:17:17 PM
I can't be any plainer about why it's a non-issue. I'm sorry that you can't seem to understand that, and i'm sorry that I can't help you with that.

TORRRESSS!!!what a ball from Gerrard^ I think its some kind of tape to prevent muscle strains
1/1/2011 11:09:29 AM

it has the same effect as wrapping a muscle would if used properly, but it's still mostly placebo effectthere's been plenty of studies done on it - and there's no way the way Bale has it attached to his thighs that it's doing ANYTHING for him but provide a placebo effect
1/1/2011 11:48:16 AM
2-1 Liverpool, upset at Anfield Gerrard was fucking on point today
