I know right, people talking and character development? what bullshit, why can't it just be nothing but headshots and people getting eaten alive

I think that spending some time on character development is what makes this show still enjoyable after nearly two full seasons. I just think that when that is the only thing for like five straight episodes, it gets tired. I think the best episodes are the ones with equal parts character development, dialogue, etc. and action. This is usually accomplished by following two different scenes, like the show where we had Rick and Shane driving 18 miles out to drop off that kid but they still showed the girl trying to commit suicide at the farm.

If its the zombie from no bite thing then I can see him not telling anyone. It is truely a "it is inevitable, we will all become zombies. Humanity will lose" type of deal.

^yep, it switches it from a "weather the storm and things can eventually go back to how they were" scenario to "the world will forever be like this now"

I was 100% under the impression that scientist dude told Rick his wife was pregnant.

I wish the CDC story was done a lot better... I would have liked some more backstory on how the "disease" started and progressed.

I agree, the process of finding a cure would be more entertaining then lori's baby bs and blonde girl attempting to die.

my guess is that the little kid shoots Randall because he wanted his dad to and Rick didn't do it and because he doesn't want to make another mistake that costs the group - since that walker was the one he was pestering out in the woods.

My guess is that Randall escapes somehow, maybe the stupid shitty kid helps, and he gets the marauders for the next season

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Shane were to fake him escaping to get everybody pissed at Rick for not murdering him, in an attempt to take leadership

My prediction:

Shane is trying to get Rick away from the group so he can kill him and make it look like Randall did it. It will work until Carl or someone else shows up and puts a bullet in Shane's head.

(I hope it goes this way anyway. I've been waiting for Shane to die every since this stupid show started.)

Thing about the title of the show. "The Walking Dead." Now remember back to the secret that the CDC guy told Rick in the season finale of season one. You know, the one that was never revealed?

^^^^ But if Rick knew that people come back after they die, it seems like he would have stabbed Shane in the head after he offed him.

But who knows how much time he had to think about that before Carol showed up.

Pretty clear to me that he was waiting to verify that theory. As far as I remember this would be the first chance he's gotten to really test to see if what the CDC guy told him was true. Also it's probably not easy to blow a hole in your best friend's head right after you were forced to stab him basically against your will.

Where the hell did all of those walkers come from at the end of the episode? They have been peacefully kicking it on the farm for weeks with little to no worry of Walkers.

Also, I'm glad to see that Shane is finally gone, good riddance. Hopefully that will open the door to T-Dog getting some more airtime. The finale is going to be pretty crazy, looks like there will be Walkers everywhere.

As people here have been mentioning, if you die... you turn --- that's what all signs points to anyhow. They eluded to it when Rick said the cop-zombies they killed when they were letting Randal go didn't have any bites or scratches. Then again with Randal. And obviously with Shane.

How? I'm guessing it's like a dormant virus. Everyone has it, once you die, you turn (unless and until your brain is destroyed i guess).

His neck was broken. Darryl said so, and Shane told Rick he broke his neck.

If everyone turns, that's a profound realization. It means that there are fuctionally 6 billion zombies on the planet. There's no "winning". It's purely survival for survivals sake.

It seems to me that with this realization, if your goal in life isn't to try and find a way to cure the living, you're a waste. You deserve to die. It makes sense that with this knowledge, the CDC guy was doing the right thing by killing everyone.

Well they did say last week on Talking Dead (I think that's where I heard it) that 'The Walking Dead' wasn't in reference to the Zombies, but the protagonists. So now knowing that has a whole other level of meaning to it.
