^x13 Why the hell if Chipper comes out of retirement would he be on the bench. Infante has no business starting. He had a nice run in the middle of the season but was atrocious at the end. He should be a pinch hitter. Diaz should be non tendered and hopefully Melky will fall off a cliff or something. The number one priority should be getting an OF with power.

If Chipper does retire this year, I wonder if he will stick around as part of the staff? No offense to Terry Pendleton, but I would love to see him become the new hitting coach.

Why you guys just now getting mad about Fredi? It was known as soon as he was fired by Florida that he'd be taking over for Cox

I guess I was always hoping it wouldn't actually happen.

Haha, fair enough

i don't mind this hire...for gosh sakes he was w/ the marlins...the marlins have a good team every 7 years when their young players peak before free agencycox thinks highly of him, so i think we should all give him the benefit of the doubt.

I like the hiring of Gonzalez. It keeps the current structure in place that has been successful for the past 20 years and hopefully will keep veterans content and future FAs considering the Braves as they always have. Cox was a big reason players took discounts to play for the Braves and if Gonzalez can continue that reputation then that is good for the team. Hopefully Gonzalez will bring on a better hitting coach now assuming he'll have that authority.
