8/23/2011 1:10:51 PM
I actually prefer Hop Rod Rye, much better balance of malts but same great rye taste.
8/23/2011 1:27:23 PM
Founders Red Rye is way better than Hop Rod Rye.
8/23/2011 1:32:26 PM

So I made a thread in the Lounge for this, and even searched for the topic in The Lounge, but didn't know there was already one in Chit Chat. Figured this would be more a Lounge topic. Way to be, Chit Chat! That being said, I had this in Folly Beach, SC recently and it was awesome.

9/2/2011 12:37:44 AM
Came out yesterday. Grabbed two 4 packs.
9/2/2011 11:39:32 AM
That first gulp of Gubna was seriously intense. I don't know if it was because I was drinking a weissbier before it or what. It was def the most intense sip of beer I've ever had in my life. I know it is 100 IBUs not sure what the other strong ass IPAs I have tried come up to.
9/2/2011 11:51:26 AM
Most DIPA's are 80-100 IBU's, Pliny the Elder and Firestone Walker Double Jack are both 100 IBU's, DFH 90-Minute is 90Oskar Blues makes some quality beers, I love G'Night (formally Gordon) it's an Imperial Red and of course the classic Dale's Pale which is the strongest Pale I've ever had.[Edited on September 2, 2011 at 1:43 PM. 9/7/2011 11:05:58 AM
May have been posted already, but the Dark Cloud munich-style dunkel lager by Mother Eearth Brewery (Kinston) is a new favorite. If you like a good brown, it's a great summer option. It's lighter / more refreshing than a brown ale but still has a nice malty finish.
9/7/2011 11:18:33 AM
Anyone out there like Scotch Ale's? I haven't tried a ton of them, but they're one of my favorite beers. The ones I can think of off the top of my head that I liked:Sam Adam's Wee HeavyOld ChubBelhaven
