Thats something we definitely wont get an answer to.If we get an answer to the Michael other thing it will be in the podcast. I'm pretty sure they will answer that in the podcast if there are any more.I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.[Edited on April 20, 2010 at 11:27 PM. Reason : ]

why on earth do you think jack is dead?I'm pretty sure I watched the entire episode but don't remember seeing locke put hume into the well. I had a hard time figuring out of that was the end of the "previously on lost" or the start of tonights episode. I'm willing to bet Sayid did not kill desmond.

There were way too many gun-cocking sound effects when people weren't really cocking their guns. Damn cliches...

SOOOOO HAPPYYYYY that Sun and Jin were reunited. it's sad that I'm so sick of questions on this show that I'm focusing more on people being reunited and being together forever (for the record, I'm not a romantic person)
4/21/2010 8:11:04 AM
4/21/2010 9:24:41 AM
walt died in the crash?
4/21/2010 9:32:49 AM
^ lol noMiB being Christian also doesn't account for what happened to Christian's body. I guess it could be just rotting in the jungle, but I'm chalking these up to minor plot holes.
4/21/2010 9:44:05 AM
I think you guys are taking what MiB said a little too literally. He was Christian in that specific instance, but not every single time we've seen him. Remember when Jack saw Christian in the hospital? You know, the singular event that started his downward spiral into alcoholism, breaking up with Kate, and becoming obsessed with getting back to the island. That couldn't have been MiB.
4/21/2010 10:11:57 AM
That's our point
4/21/2010 10:25:47 AM
Yeah, I dunno. It'd be nice for them to explain every single one of these little mysteries, but at this point, it's not really necessary. The told us all we really needed to know about the main mythology of the show with the Richard episode, and now it's all about wrapping up the stories of the individual characters. In fact, it'd almost be better to leave them as mysteries rather than giving cheap explanations like "whispering ghosts" or "the boat destroyed the statue".
4/21/2010 10:37:52 AM
I can let mysteries of magic go, e.g. "how did the bomb make two timelines", "where did walt get his special powers", "why can that guy talk to ghosts" etc. Other mysteries of "why did so-and-so make a clearly irrational choice instead of a rational one" are harder to forgive. At this point, I really don't give a single shit about Jack, Kate, Hurley, etc. I was happy for Jin and Sun, but that was the last character connection I had. Now I'm just interested in wrapping up the mysteries with detailed, fully accountable explanations. I will be disappointed.[Edited on April 21, 2010 at 11:24 AM. Reason : .]
4/21/2010 11:17:59 AM
I've accepted that 90% of the mysteries will never be solved, but what I would be most interested in is the reasonign they were created in the first place. It would be awesome if after the show they went and wrote a book or released a bonus DVD where they talked about some of the old more major mysteries (things like Walt) and what they originally intended for them.

So they've mentioned a few times that the reason they are on the island is that Jabob needed a replacement after he died. But he wouldn't have died if he hadn't had brought them there in the first place. I guess he brought them to show MiB that people can still be good?
4/21/2010 1:23:57 PM
^good point, but they never specified that Jacob needed to die in order to be replaced.
4/21/2010 1:27:21 PM
4/21/2010 1:36:46 PM
Curious to find out what the MiB will do to Claire when he finds her. Sayid definitely didn't kill Desmond.
4/21/2010 1:36:50 PM
so it doesn't look like this has been talked about:When sun was being wheeled into the hospital, she was beside Locke and said "it's HIM!" (and seemed very frightened), and then locke grinned. Is it possible that it's MiB in locke's body in the other reality somehow? At first I thought, no - it can't be because he would have went back and forth with MiB/Locke on the island. But that only happened with desmond. Island Hurley doesn't know that alternate reality hurley knows about island hurley memories (if that makes sense). So, I'm thinking maybe something is going to happen on the island which will cause their "consciousness/memories", or at least MiB's, to jump to the other reality (though it's in the past compared to the island) - i mean, a lot of people already suspect that in some regard. But i think maybe it hasn't happened yet on the island. As in what we're seeing in bizarro world (them beginning to remember things) is the result of something still to come on the island.I kinda feel like i'm saying something that's already known, but at the same time is different.
4/21/2010 3:16:07 PM
^duro, you always come strong. VERY interesting theory (re: the alternate reality Locke being the MiB). If this theory is correct, it would give rise to a whole host of new questions: if that is the MiB, then he has already escaped the island, right? Has he set into forth a plan to do the damage that Jacob, Ilana, Whidmore, etc. all insist that he would do if he escaped? Or were they all wrong and all he really wanted to do was escape the island to live a normal life? Previously, most of us just assumed that Desmond ran over Locke in the alt-timeline to get him into the hospital, but if this theory is true, is it possible that Desmond knows that he is the MiB and was ACTUALLY trying to kill him? Was the whole episode dedicated to Locke's alt-timeline simply just meant to throw us off the trail?
4/21/2010 3:59:35 PM
4/21/2010 4:04:21 PM
^I remember it. I was trying to figure out what it meant and I couldn't figure it out. duro's theory is pretty solid to me.
4/21/2010 4:09:53 PM
Just rewatched that scene on ABC.comI guess maybe he has the faintest hint of a smileNot very convincing
4/21/2010 4:19:47 PM
i just watched it again, definitely agree that it's questionable to call it a grin - or much of a reaction at all (i was going off seeing it once at 12am).Maybe after her near death experience she just had a memory of him being "bad" from the island and that's why she started flipping out. Alternate reality Sun has never met Locke. But it could definitely just be that she has a brief memory of MiB as Locke and that caused the reaction.
4/21/2010 4:40:59 PM
^yeah, that's how I looked at it too; that Sun remembered Locke as being bad based on her recent interaction with MiB-Locke. If the trend were to apply to Locke, then his alt timeline self would "sync" with his island timeline self and he'd remember everything from coming to the island and diggin the hatch, to his trip off the island to convince Jake, Kate, et al to come back. Talk about an akward moment, what if he remembered Ben murdering him, then all of a sudden Linus is chillin' in the hospital room when he wakes up worried about him. It's for that reason I don't think he'd "sync" with the MiB, b/c it'd be a mix of "new" memories from his time on the island as himself and then as MiB incarnate, and that just doesn't make sense to me.
4/21/2010 4:58:39 PM
I still like the theory, if only because it would make for an interesting little twist.
4/21/2010 5:08:07 PM
"duros" theory is exactly what I said long ago, after the locke episode. Now its more like the near death experience awakens everyone to the island reality and getting hit by the car is going to turn locke into the smoke monster.
4/21/2010 6:33:12 PM
I dont think the alt-locke has the memories of the smoke monster.[Edited on April 21, 2010 at 8:25 PM. Reason : .]

i like how jack said locke's dural sac was fucked up just like the girl in the story he told kate in the first episode.
4/21/2010 9:11:43 PM
^when he was operating on Ben, in order to get Kate busted out, didn't he purposefully slit Ben's dural sac? Maybe not, but that's what I was thinking when he mentioned it this episode.
4/21/2010 9:17:00 PM
^ i think you might be rightit would be kind of interesting if jack fixes locke's legs in bizarro world since it would be an act of science that healed the man of faith in that case[Edited on April 21, 2010 at 9:32 PM. Reason : .]

4/26/2010 7:01:47 PM
I've peaked at the spoilers wiki once or twice this season, but it's usually something like "JACK TALKS TO LOCKE" or "KATE FILMED A SCENE IN THE JUNGLE"I did read a single line from the leaked call sheet before thinking better of it. No clue if it's real -- if it is, the finale is gonna be doo doo.
4/26/2010 9:25:30 PM
apparently there's supposed to be a big emotional death scene coming up but i have no idea who it is
