unfortunately, walmart has the best prices on ammo around, including buying bulk online.I need a bunch of .40 and 9mm.or .357sig[Edited on February 3, 2009 at 5:39 PM. Reason : .]
2/3/2009 5:38:58 PM
^yeh, that's what I've seen - but I never saw ammo on their website... I guess I'll check again.
2/3/2009 5:44:54 PM
if someone is organizing a bulk purchase of 9mm I'd go in on it
2/3/2009 5:53:55 PM
^^ They don't sell it online. Only in stores, and then, not all stores sell handgun ammo.
2/3/2009 6:32:37 PM
i am in on the bulk 9mm purchase as well. who wants to organize it?
2/3/2009 7:15:39 PM
ordering at walmartI still need 9mm. Want some 357 sig, but its to GD high to be worth getting. Grabbed 1k or 40/2k of 9mm in the last 2 weeks at wally worlds. Each time it was all the blazer brass they had in stock. It used to be that you could special order at wally world for ammo, not sure if that still applies, or if its just a they get what they get if and when they get it.[Edited on February 3, 2009 at 7:50 PM. Reason : ordering at walmart]
2/3/2009 7:43:58 PM
want to sell a few boxes of 9?Every time I go to walmart I buy at least 200 (500) rounds of .40, but the shelves are empty of 9 and .357, and I am out of both of those.
2/3/2009 7:51:29 PM
unfort I am hording 9mm ATM. My 40 i rarely shoot, and the 40/357 sig barrels for my p11 are a carry only, i use the 9mm on it for the range. I have a calico, so 9mm is a 'must have moar' thing for me.
2/3/2009 8:20:24 PM
^trying to unload some .40's?as for special ordering ammo at wal-mart; the two guys in sporting goods that I've talked to said that they get in anything/everything they can per shipment (supplier supplies what they can) - so I'm not sure if the special order thing would work.Again, I am looking for:- .40S&W range rounds (boxes, or 1+ people to buy in bulk)- Shotgun, 12-gauge, synthetic stock, pump action, relatively inexpensive; for home defense (thanks for the other responses to this - I'll look into those as well)
2/3/2009 9:12:18 PM
my 870 is sold pending dropoff/$$ tomorrow
2/3/2009 11:30:58 PM
ask to speak to the sporting goods manager. they can order you anything that they normally buy and sometimes special order stuff.i got gold dots at one walmart in FL (they stocked it all the time).i ordered a case of 9mm & 40 s&w blazer at walmart a month ago. i would get winchester, but it's just so DIRTY compared to the blazer (even though the blazer uses lesser quality components).
2/4/2009 11:56:50 AM
I have had some no shows for the CCH class this Sunday if anyone is interested. I can take people at $85. The class is from 0800 this Sunday to about 4 pm when we leave the range. If you have something to shoot, you will need a holster and box of 50. We get a quick bite on the way to the range at the Mc Donalds on 70.Please give me a call at 787-4965 (near wade and brooks ave).FJH

Anyone else need some 9mm? I scored some WWB 9mm sunday at 2 different WalMarts, cleaned both of them out. Figured I would pass on some of it if folks need it, it was $19.97 per box pre tax, I will meet near campus for $22 a box. This covers tax and a few cent for my gas. If you go to the SCCC meeting Tuesday I will be trying to make it to that, and there I will do 21.50/box.
2/9/2009 12:17:31 AM
how many are in a box? I thought winchester went for like $7-9 per box of 50 blazer is $9/box at the walmart I go to, assuming you're talking about FMJ
2/9/2009 1:00:38 AM
WWB in this case is refering to the 100 round boxes. They have been 19.97 for the past 9 months or so at the wally worlds I hit. And blazer brass is around $9 for 50 rounds at walmart for 9mm, however I have been unable to find it in stock at any of them, hell, this is the first time I have seen white box in ANY size, aka the 100 round value packs, in almost a month.
2/9/2009 1:09:53 AM
how does the walmart 9mm blazer brass, wwb, remington compare in terms of dirtiness, feeding/cycling issues, reloadability, accuracy? which is best not considering the price difference?
2/9/2009 3:38:31 AM
bb - clean, 2nd quality brass - lowest quality components (powder is the best of the bunch though).wwb - DIRTY, 1st quality brass.remington - dirty, 1st quality brass.i've only had poor quality control from BB. everyone else's rounds look pristine. WWB being tits when you want a round that looks good/shiny.WWB and remington are more accurate for me, but I'm not sure that matters for you and your pistol.there is no BEST, these are target loads, made cheaply.
2/9/2009 8:43:31 AM
I predominantly shoot BB and have had zero failure to fire/ failure to feed in over 2000 rounds.
2/9/2009 9:47:32 AM
I don't shoot blazer through my nicer guns...If you have a beast of a gun, like a glock, it will never have a problem.
2/9/2009 10:06:37 AM
Still got some WWB 100 round packs of 9mm to get rid of if anyone is feeling the need for some practice ammo. Have some blazer, it fouls my calico less than the WWB, but both shoot/foul about the same on my pistol length stuff.
2/9/2009 5:26:18 PM
WWB = Winchester White Box, correct? Any body have some in 40s&w?
2/10/2009 12:17:42 AM
I have some 40 S&W blazer brass, if you are looking to get some ammo fast.

^pm replieddoes anyone have any extra XD mags or know of some good deals on them locally?[Edited on February 10, 2009 at 6:16 PM. Reason : not clips]
2/10/2009 6:15:37 PM
PDHSC had ok prices on XD mags. The best deal I have seen on them is in the 'XD gear kits'. 3 magazines, plus a double mag slide for your belt. They have had them for 50 in the past, best deal ever on 3 mags. see http://www.gilbertsguns.com/Clips-Magazines/Springfield+XD+Kits
2/10/2009 6:42:36 PM
Anybody have any milsurp ammo they're not getting any use out of? I'm looking primarily for 7.62x54R, 7.62x39, 7.62 NATO (.308), and 8x56R, but let me know anything else you got.
2/10/2009 7:54:42 PM
Lawmen's has XD mags for $19 iirc. Not amazing, but they have a relatively large inventory of them, and had the 9mm ones in stock when PDHSC didn't.
2/10/2009 9:30:35 PM
3 of the 9mm WWB 100 round packs left, $22 each, or 65 for all 3. Still got Blazer Brass 40, $27/2 50 round boxes.

2/12/2009 10:15:45 PM
anybody reloading 9mm or 5.56? I have got over 900 rounds of 9mm brass (mostly Fiocchi, some Federal AE and Speer Lawman) and just over 100 rounds of 5.56 xm193 (mix of Federal and Speer). I have been thinking about getting into reloading and have been saving my brass but I dont think it is worth it for me at this point. I am not looking to get much for it. This is all factory, once-fired brass, but has not been cleaned/sorted. I also have a bunch of 9mm and a few 5.56 empty boxes with the plastic trays if you want them to store reloaded ammo.I also have a AR15 vertical forward grip by UTG (black). As pictured here with removable side cut-outs for a tapeswitch.I also have a basic rail mount laser for a pistol with rail mount as shown here:http://www.allglock.com/item/66328_Target_Sports_Sights_and_Lasers_Target_Sports_Laser_Rail.aspx[Edited on February 14, 2009 at 1:59 PM. Walmart in Wilson NC has WWB 100 round 9mm in stock, no blazer brass of any kind, and DID have some 45 WWB value packs. Had a friend hit them, may try and hit some other ones as well.
