You're right, this isn't about keepers or any other fantasy issues. Why do you keep bringing up your fantasy team in a Rivers thread?Nobody cares about your fantasy team, there's a thread about fantasy football if you want to talk about a certain player on your team.
10/23/2011 2:41:03 PM
Oh, I thought it said "ALL Things Philip Rivers Thread" my faultmotherfucker got TRIPLE formatted
10/23/2011 2:42:22 PM
Awwwww.
10/23/2011 2:42:58 PM
Jaybee wouldn't be so critical of Rivers if he had stayed local and played his college ball at Bama or Auburn, cause then he'd be an SECer and a real football player
10/23/2011 2:44:21 PM
And yet, still nobody cares about your fantasy team.Meanwhile, Rivers is 4-1 and has an 11 point halftime lead over the Jets, who have been a thorn in the Chargers side recently.
10/23/2011 2:45:13 PM
^^ yeah, I am so critical that I kept him and just threw my money away for shits and giggles. And actually I wouldnt like him if he went to Auburn or Alabama.^ the Chargers are 4-1. I'm sure if they were 0-5 it wouldn't be "Rivers is 0-5" would it?you bitches are SO sensitive, its just retarded. Why cant I ask a totally legit question and have a real, objective, unbiased discussion? He obviously isnt playing as well this year, you cant deny that, and not just from a fantasy perspective. I simply asked why? They had WR and TE injuries last year and he was fine, he has played hurt before and was fine... o-line maybe? missing Sproles?[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 2:49 PM. Reason : d]
10/23/2011 2:46:37 PM
I dunno, would it? I'm sure you'd have something to say about itRivers has led the chargers to a 4-1 record.[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 2:50 PM. Reason : ]
10/23/2011 2:48:26 PM
Leave him alone people. He asked a legitimate keeper league question about Phil. ]
10/23/2011 2:49:58 PM
always funny how pissy people get over him
10/23/2011 2:50:25 PM
People would probably be able to answer your questions better in the fantasy football advice thread.
10/23/2011 2:51:01 PM
10/23/2011 2:51:52 PM
1. ask a premie to bump this thread2. congratulate rivers on his newborn baby3. jaybee shakes the hornets nest4. ...5. jaybee is all like
10/23/2011 2:52:58 PM
Go Rivers!
10/23/2011 2:53:13 PM
Well then I think it's probably injuries that have been getting to him more than they have before. There was a cheap shot by the Pats that ended up with a fine, I think he probably got hurt in that game and hasn't recovered.
10/23/2011 2:54:31 PM
see, that wasnt hard
10/23/2011 2:58:42 PM
losing Gates for a few weeks didn't help anything
10/23/2011 2:59:49 PM
"Why are you people so defensive about Rivers?"*Immediately goes on the defense anytime someone says something negative about a QB from his alma mater**Claims objectivity*
10/23/2011 3:00:00 PM
wasnt on the defensive... merely pointed out that this wasnt a Manning thread... and that hes been hurt all year, hasnt played a snap, thats different than playing every game and not doing as well as expected. Very objective.
10/23/2011 3:03:26 PM
"worst fantasy keeper ever" isnt all that objective
10/23/2011 3:05:09 PM
obviously it was hyperboleI just dont get why "Jaybee said something" = "say something about Manning" Gay.and for the record, I have attempted SEVERAL times to get this thread back on track, so dont blame me[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 3:07 PM. Reason : d]
10/23/2011 3:06:46 PM
Manning was a worse keeper than Rivers, thats objective, not gay
10/23/2011 3:07:37 PM
Jaybee attempting to get thread back on track = LOL Y HE SUCK SO MUCH LOL!
10/23/2011 3:08:38 PM
injury and not playing is not the same as playing and not playing good. Unless your keeper deadline was super early you had to know Manning could miss a lot of time potentially. You knew what to expect, therefore not a disappointment. Whereas a guy that started totally healthy, and had been a complete badass the last few years, who then goes out and plays shitty thus far, thats a disappointment.^ what? That makes no sense. Unless you mean this is a "all POSITIVE things only about Philip Rivers Thread"[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 3:11 PM. Reason : d]
10/23/2011 3:10:47 PM
it's certainly not an "all things peyton manning" thread, so let's move that crap elsewhere
10/23/2011 3:12:39 PM
exactly. still not sure why he even came up. And they already moved it to the NFL thread but for some reason they keep bringing it up here[Edited on October 23, 2011 at 3:13 PM. Reason : d]

10/23/2011 3:14:12 PM
bingo
10/23/2011 3:14:23 PM
Worst two minute drill I've ever seen.
10/23/2011 4:15:35 PM
10/23/2011 4:15:44 PM
today doesn't even make top 5 of his worst games (statistically speaking)
10/23/2011 5:14:11 PM
Ugh. That was an ugly game for Rivers. Make he needs to slow down on having kids (just had his 6th). He's looked extremely average (actually below average) this year. Chargers' defense, running game, and special teams actually playing well this year...Rivers has dropped the ball in their two losses.
10/23/2011 5:19:37 PM
He's been playing injured ever since Week 2 when he got smashed by a Patriots linebacker. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
10/23/2011 6:02:14 PM
^^I know you're quick to jump on here after a poor performance (yes I know you like him), and yes he played poorly today, but neither of the losses were completely on him. The defense made Mark frickin Sanchez look like Joe Montana today. And Jackson flat out dropped that first pick, which was by far the most important moment of the game, SD would have gotten at least a fg out of that possession and went up seven. But even the staunchest Rivers' fanboys can't defend that pathetic two-minute drill to end the game.
10/23/2011 7:51:15 PM
10/24/2011 8:47:56 AM
he's been pretty off all year, really.
10/24/2011 9:35:58 AM
Don't disagree about his playing badly. But, you said the loss was squarely on his shoulders without discounting what I said about how horrible SD's defense looked vs Sanchez. Oh well, the overall point we agree on is that Rivers' hasn't played up to his abilities so far this year, not even close.
10/24/2011 10:26:24 AM
worst. two-minute drill. ever.
10/24/2011 11:32:17 AM
jbrick83 you're acting like this is the first QB this D made look ordinary. In the Rex Ryan era here are the last super bowl MVPs to play the Jets in the reg seasonDrew Brees - 20/32 190 yds 0td 0int 78.9 ratingAaron Rodgers - 15/34 170 yds 0td 0int 59.7 ratingYes, rivers has struggled this year but it's hard to blame him yesterday against THAT D..
10/24/2011 12:35:21 PM
^Ommmm...different years there Jets fanboy. The Jets D has not looked that great at all this year. Their passing D has looked pretty good, but they still gave up 320 to Brady and 340 to Romo. Rivers is the only decent QB they've really shut down this year (Flacco is "meh"...and they didn't need him to perform well anyways). They Jets are an average team at best. San Diego should have beaten them and Rivers played like shit...which is slightly above how well he's been playing all year.[Edited on October 24, 2011 at 2:42 PM. Reason : .]

10/31/2011 9:19:18 PM
It's the 6 kids, he's used up all his mojo
10/31/2011 9:20:08 PM
hes overthrowing everything, I bet its a shoulder injury that he's playing through^ or that haha
10/31/2011 9:23:02 PM
He's certainly playing like shit, and it only makes matters worse when every tipped ball seems to land in a defenders hands.
10/31/2011 9:28:12 PM
the most important thing is he has me -5 points
10/31/2011 9:31:34 PM
Well, that is good news.
