did you just describe the thing underwater facility as a tower?[Edited on May 16, 2007 at 11:20 PM. Reason : and this episode wasn't anything special, just a transition episode...next week should be awesome]
5/16/2007 11:18:33 PM
5/16/2007 11:22:28 PM
yes.I did.It's a structure.It goes up.It's underwater.Its a mother fucking water tower.
5/16/2007 11:23:47 PM
Desmond comes down to save charlie and only one will escape alive....
5/16/2007 11:24:34 PM
maybe he really gets eaten by that crazy Dharma shark on the way out

^, ^^, ^^^ Are you three speculating or have you read the spoilers?God damned spoilers. ]
5/16/2007 11:59:50 PM
The spoilers i linked aren't true... I do like to be spoiled a bit with some shows, lost being on of them (too many questions, i want answers), and I can guarantee you that the spoilers that I posted before are not true, and if any of you have been on most of the main lost spoiler sites those are the same ones there.
5/17/2007 12:24:53 AM
5/17/2007 12:30:12 AM
yes but all the situations he's placed in are accuratetherefore, I have no doubt he'll be in a room with a flashy light and at least be very capable of drowningit seems stupid for him to get shot by those people in there, etc
5/17/2007 12:36:08 AM
^^^What are you talking about? I went back and read what you posted and it was like a word for word reproduction of tonight's episode. I don't know about next weeks episode because I haven't read the spoilers (or watched the episode yet obviously) but the stuff you posted about tonight's episode was 100% correct.moving on...Looking at screencaps from the episode tonight, I think the Brunette in the underwater station is Cassidy. Looks like it could be her, no?]
5/17/2007 12:38:17 AM
OK, if you know something is true and is a spolier, DON"T FRIGGIN POST IT IN HERE.So help me If JCTarheel's post is true then doesn't that warrent being suspended? Moving on...Pretty cool if that is cassidy... It'd like to see some development with the water tower people... they can't be self sustaining under the water and I am sure that they need supplies brought to them, bet that whole submarine explosion thing will come back up...

I liked this episode a lot. Sure it was kinda a transition show, but it did lay a lot of groundwork for the finale so that the finale can be action-packed all the way through. Also, despite all the spoilers and foreshadowing about Charlie's dying, I hope he doesn't. I've always liked his character and this episode really made me like him better. He was determined and fearless once he thought he could save Claire and Aaron by sacrificing himself, he didn't even take the easy out that Desmond offered. Kudos to Charlie's character.
5/17/2007 9:13:48 AM
Yea, they kinda skipped out on charlie a lot this season but he's still one of my favorite characters.
5/17/2007 9:20:58 AM
5/17/2007 10:23:06 AM
actually i had been thinking it was the mysterious magnetic interference that crashed the plane that was jamming the signals as well
5/17/2007 10:29:16 AM
5/17/2007 10:53:43 AM
and I am wondering exactly how they identified their plane crash site and how everyone had died....
5/17/2007 11:13:56 AM
waaaaaaaay back in the day, Sayid had a flashback episode. In that episode, his girlfriend was the girl that Charlie saved from the mugging in last nights episode.I really wonder how they are going to tie all of these people in together like that girl, the old lasy from the jewlery store (and monks picture), etc.Lets start a questions vs. answers count for the season finale.I am calling an upset and picking answers over questions.
5/17/2007 12:56:36 PM
I don't know about the rest of you, but I kinda knew that Charlie wasnt going to die in this episode. They almost killed me setting it all up soooo obviously (and kinda sappy too), but you know that the LOST writers always mislead the hellouttof us. There is almost always an unexpected twist at the end of every epsidose to make you go "wow, I didnt see that coming: where are they going to go with that? hmm let me get on the net tmrw at work and read all the crazy theories, yeah! ". I certainly didnt expect him to be last seen held at gunpoint by hot chicks in a pseudo-sealab 2020 type underwater facility. I also predictably followed suit today with the typical internet search for new, crazy LOST theories (NOT SPOILERS I MIGHT ADD).... Though it was mainly a leadup to the finale, it had more to like about it than many other episodes from earlier this season (U know which ones I am talking about) and fit the mold of a LOST episode that inspires the imagination and curiosity (which is essentially this show's "bread and butter", IMO) .... As to if Charlie really will die: there's no tellin. I think that unless Desmond intercedes (he's still passed out on the surface and theres no tellin what that bloke will do), I think Charlie's goose is cooked cause Des' visions are never wrong.... Perhaps Des' willingness to swim down there beforehand hints at what he will do next (and how Charlie escapes yet another death trap) ?[Edited on May 17, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Reason : fuck spoilers!]
5/17/2007 12:57:46 PM
^^here's a pretty good collection of questions/mysteries from lost, both answered and unanswered (no spoilers either!):http://lostmysteries.blogspot.com/[Edited on May 17, 2007 at 1:03 PM. Reason : no spoilers!]

^ nice. I just thought of something else. Des thought that if he was going to find Penny, Charlie had to be shot in the neck & die. He ended up saving him, but the important part (that they were in that area of the woods looking for her) still happened so he still found her(Naomi) without Charlie having to die. Will the same thing apply to this vision? It seems like Claire and baby will be picked up if charlie finds and flips the switch next to the blinking yellow light, but does he really have to die afterwards? Couldnt Des just wait until the switch is flicked before bailing Charlie out before he drowns? I could see something like that happening being more likely than he actually drowns after flipping the switch exactly as Desmond saw it....I mean how many times have Des' visions played out exactly as he saw them? None.... (except Locke's speech)
5/17/2007 1:28:08 PM
^Yeah, but in Desmond's mind, if he'd let Charlie die in the woods w/ the arrow, he'd find Penny, not Naomi. He thinks that by saving Charlie or changing the events in the flashes, he subsequently changes the final outcome. That's why Charlie is so willing to drown and he said, "you know it has to be me, brother" or something like that after he knocked Des out. He agrees with Des and doesn't want to risk Claire and Aaron not being rescued.
5/17/2007 1:34:51 PM
You wonder if they ever thought to just cut the cable on the beach...
5/17/2007 3:24:46 PM
^i was totally thinking that last night
5/17/2007 3:28:24 PM
charlie prob wont die because they cant get saved this quickly, it would make the show have to end a lot sooner than 3 seasons.i dont want charlie to die though so i guess im just wishful thinking hahaThen again a while ago on one of the "next time on losts"...we saw them all of them looking up at what seemed to be a helicopter and we have yet to see that scene.we will see. i cant wait!!!!!!!!
5/17/2007 4:07:43 PM
oh and on jimmy kimmel some time last week evangeline lilly was on there and she said something we would never guess and something that shocked her but she was really excited about was going to happen.she said she couldnt believe they were going to do this...i cant wait to see what it is
5/17/2007 4:10:39 PM
just because they are getting in a helicopter doesn't mean they are being savedthe others may have acquired a helicopter or dharma may be back to take control of the island...i dunno
5/17/2007 4:11:22 PM
thats true.
5/17/2007 4:15:10 PM
Charlie will die like the Desmonds vision foretold. Desmond just doesn't realize that he is envolved.
5/17/2007 4:18:46 PM
i miss seeing you at BearRock, Sugar Avi
5/17/2007 4:24:30 PM
5/17/2007 4:25:22 PM
I'm pretty sure Desmond saw what was going to happen to charlie in his flashback. So he knew about the women down there, but didn't want to tell charlie about it...
5/17/2007 4:27:02 PM
He doesn't watch the future like a damn movie, he gets flashes. Bits and pieces, with no idea about the time elapsed or actions that took place between the flashes. He was pretty straight up with Charlie, so I disagree, I don't think Desmond saw the firearm brandishing Looking Glass chicks.
5/17/2007 4:29:42 PM
well desmond could accidently intervene and make it so he lives...but who knowsmiss seeing you there too! [Edited on May 17, 2007 at 4:31 PM. Reason : .]
5/17/2007 4:29:57 PM
umm.. you people think charlie is safe now? he IS still underwater.. durrrrand
5/17/2007 4:34:40 PM
still might not drownedhuh?
5/17/2007 4:38:41 PM
5/17/2007 6:29:14 PM
so this begs the questions:1. Are the women in the "looking glass" in cahoots with Ben and the others?2. If so, were they expecting Charlie or just happened to be there and heard him yell?Plus, I'm still interested to see if Juliette has really sided with the flight 815 crew, or if she is still with Ben and the others.
5/17/2007 7:14:53 PM
I think Juliette is on her own. She will do anything it takes to get off the island, and right now, her best chances are to side with Jack. As soon as Ben gives her a better offer, she will be back with Ben.
5/17/2007 7:16:28 PM
5/17/2007 7:47:31 PM
I'll be damed though, I do agree with this....
5/17/2007 8:53:27 PM
^that's a joke right?
5/17/2007 8:59:17 PM
no, seriously. How was water not in that hatch if it was at the bottom of the sea and had no door? It makes no sense.plz Charlie.EXPLAIN.
5/17/2007 9:53:35 PM
i thought it was a tower...
5/17/2007 9:59:49 PM
^^Shouldn't you be trolling in the Duchess thread?and I hope Desmond doesn't save Charlie, homeboy should have died a long time ago]
