8/13/2012 2:24:02 PM
haha, her hair is so short i don't think it matters that much
8/13/2012 2:25:01 PM
forgot i have plans to be tinkerbell for halloween. can't dye it whatever her hair is way dumber looking than mine now i've seen a few angles of it. what is that undercut/bowlcut combo? a cry for help?]
8/13/2012 2:30:21 PM
ohhhh where did you see the other angles of the cut? i only saw the one pic and i'm interested in seeing how it looks all around (and i dont have plans to copy you so no worries )
8/13/2012 2:31:35 PM
i think this one shows off best how stupid this cut looksi mean it's similar to my old one but I had it longer in the front and it didn't...... mushroom off the top of my head like thateither way. it's not my current cut so I guess I'm over my initial ragefit]

I need help, ladies. I'm totally not a fashionable person but for one of my baby showers, I need help finding shoes to go with my dress. Its a shower being thrown by a very Southern lady so the shower will be very Southern and proper. This is the dress I got for it from Asos:What kind of shoes should I look for to wear with the dress? I want them to be flats (if possible). My pregnant feet can't take heels anymore.I fill out that dress much more than the model [Edited on August 13, 2012 at 4:26 PM. Reason : f]
8/13/2012 4:23:05 PM
some metallic ballet flats maybe? i have a pair of silver rocket dog flats i love to death that go with pretty much anythingmine look like this but anything sort of like that would probably work
8/13/2012 4:39:30 PM
i got this dress from ASOS last night! i really like the red lace one! i bet it will look nice.
8/14/2012 10:12:59 AM
oops...I think I pissed ddk off. DON'T HATE ME KATE!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!
8/14/2012 10:18:18 AM
anyone else on this jillian michaels train? i'm thinking i need some motivator or regimen or something as i gained nearly 20 lbs of the weight i lost post baby...and that makes me a sad fucking panda.
8/14/2012 10:45:26 AM
I have her 30 Day Shred DVD. It's definitely a work out. I got through the first ten days and definitely noticed an improvement (wasn't so out of breath, exercises seemed a little easier), but then I went on a 3 day long vacation, and started riding my horse again (he was injured), and figured that was enough exercise for me, haha.
8/14/2012 11:00:29 AM
I've done 30 day shred and it's pretty awesome. Full body workout in 30 minutes

If we're talking weight loss, I have to put in a good word for going the route of the personal trainer. I know that the initial cost can be a little intimidating, but when weighed against the long term costs of obesity -- it's so worth it. It has also really helped my energy level and how I feel about myself. I pay $40 for a weekly session and that accountability has kept me motivated enough to get my butt to the gym 5-6 times a week. While the change in the number of the scale has been small, I'm gaining muscle, endurance, and losing inches. In two months, I've lost 2 dress sizes and I just bought two pair of shoes 1/2 a size smaller than I normally wear.As a stay at home mom, just going to the gym has been awesome. I get out of the house, see adults, and my kids get to play with their peers in the gym's daycare for an hour or two.

i've heard fantastic things about 30 day shred by jillian michaels. i follow bodyrock http://www.bodyrock.tv which is a similar style to jillian michaels (high intensity interval training circuits). the bodyrock community is great - they're very supportive via the facebook page. i do boot camp 3 days a week in Cary (off Kildaire Farm Road near Penny) and i run 1 day a week and usually do a bodyrock or Zuzka Light work out (her website is down while it's being tweaked but you can find her videos via youtube or her facebook page) the other 2-3 days. all free - all done in my living room. they don't believe in using a lot of equipment and stick to more body weight exercises.
8/14/2012 11:26:32 AM
I did Jillian's 30 Day shred for 45+ consecutive days last year. I lost a few inches around my waist, thighs, etc. and it helped kick-start me into doing other fitness things (I do crossfit now). I bought both of her shred videos, and I like both of them. However I favor her first video more just because she seems more down-to-earth in it... which I guess is a weird reason to like a fitness video, but whatever.
8/14/2012 11:49:08 AM
I'm a big fan and have all the jillian michaels dvds, my favorites are 30 day shred and the yoga meltdown. I definitely like her more than the p90x guy
8/14/2012 11:50:36 AM
yeah i dont like the P90X guy AT ALL. oh Tony Horton you don't have a place in my heart plus i found it hard to keep motivated after a few weeks of doing P90X - it gets repetitive and i needed something i could change up more often. [Edited on August 14, 2012 at 11:57 AM. Reason : edit]

With all of your positive reviews, I'll give it a shot. I hope to get back in to power stroll this fall and may even give my Zumba meet up group a shot again if they are meeting in a convenient location.
8/14/2012 1:18:28 PM
My gfs LOVE Jillian Michaels' workout videos, particularly 30-day shred. I like Insanity because it's pretty quick, but hardcore. And zumba is a really fun workout... def one of my favorites. If you're looking for straight weight loss, though, being really careful with your diet is probably the most important part.
8/14/2012 2:58:52 PM
I must be the only chick that hates zumba I can't figure out whats going on fast enough, and when I do they are already doing something else. Theres just no instruction

some people can dance, some can't. it's not a reflection of your fitness level.

Oh, I thought you liked it. Then maybe I don't know as many people who like it as I thought. Except Fareako's dad
8/14/2012 5:20:36 PM
I hate Zumba too
8/14/2012 5:39:15 PM
I, too, hate zumba
8/14/2012 5:51:17 PM
And I hate running Unless it's while playing soccer.[Edited on August 14, 2012 at 6:05 PM. Reason : ]

Today is day 2 with my Diva Cup. After day 1, I was ready to switch back to tampons but the fact that I spent 25 bucks is inspiring me to stay with it.The first time I removed it, it hurt like a bitch and this morning I was seriously dreading having to empty it. I think I may be sort of figuring it out though. I just wish I had gotten the Lunette cup now because I think that one would be better.
8/15/2012 1:24:46 PM
^ here is an entire LJ community dedicated to the cup- there is the answer to any question you could have about them on the side bar. http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/(sometimes I am amazed at the variety of web forums on the internet.)[Edited on August 15, 2012 at 3:32 PM. Reason : ]

I need some advice.I got this theory skirt from TJ Maxx (hello $385 skirt for $20). I was surprised that even with my height, it still flows to the ground and moves so beautifully. I couldn't resist.I know my time is running out to wear it (I don't see this being a fall skirt whatsoever). What would YOU pair it with?
8/16/2012 10:41:20 AM
8/16/2012 10:48:56 AM
YES! I've been on the hunt for a lightweight pleated maxi skirt!!!!I want a peachy/blush tone though
8/16/2012 10:49:51 AM
Ah, well, there if you live anywhere near a TJ Maxx with a Runway, that's where I got it. I can't remember seeing any blush tones.. saw some BCBG Max black ones..Oh, here's a blush one from BCBG! http://amzn.com/B00775SHME It exists! But it's $218..What would you pair it with Diva? Simple tank like the model above? [Edited on August 16, 2012 at 1:08 PM. Reason : .][Edited on August 16, 2012 at 1:09 PM. Reason : blah, double edit]

totally looks winter white in the pic.
8/16/2012 2:04:32 PM
I really like Cass' dress.
8/16/2012 2:20:21 PM
yeah that's not a "summer" white so you can take it well into fall and winter if you chooseI would keep my top simple...I like the whole "high/low" style. Then throw on a fab necklace to jazz it up at times.
8/16/2012 3:03:42 PM
I'm going to cut my hair a little shorter than last time. I'm thinking of this cut, and keeping my bangs long this timeThoughts?
8/16/2012 7:52:50 PM
I think it is very prettyI'm Krallum and I approved this message.
8/16/2012 8:01:17 PM
cute, kind of hard to tell what it would look like straight though.I've decided I'm going to cut mine off since I'd have to wear it up for clinicals anyway. Might go back to this style. Decisions, decisions. [Edited on August 16, 2012 at 8:08 PM. Reason : image not link]

What the hell is in the background?!
8/16/2012 8:11:50 PM
I like that cut Brandino - but I like the one you had in your Dino shirt even more It was sassyIt would probably just look like a normal bob when straight... Ive been wearing it curly more since its so damn humid here
8/16/2012 8:17:52 PM
looks like that fountain/pool behind talley
8/16/2012 8:21:04 PM
^correct My face is too fat to go super short
8/16/2012 10:12:49 PM
Haha bullshit have you seen my cut? No way your face is fatter than mine
8/16/2012 10:13:59 PM
