The LSU player Ralston Turner apparently is only visiting one school (us). He has a connection with Coach Gottfried - he's from Alabama originally and was offered a scholarship by Gottfried when he was in high school.I'm guessing he'd have to sit out a year if he transferred even though his former coach left LSU.

suit him up
5/10/2012 9:54:28 AM
Turner is not 100% set on leaving LSU despite getting the release and making the visit.
5/10/2012 11:36:32 AM
how can you go back at this point?
5/10/2012 11:37:06 AM
What is this guy like?
5/10/2012 11:40:08 AM
Maybe the new LSU coach has the "If you truly love someone you will set them free and they will come back to you" attitude? On Turner's part he may decide that the grass is not always greener when you have to sit out a year, if indeed that is the case. But I am not disagreeing that a transfer seems more likely than not[Edited on May 10, 2012 at 11:45 AM. With De Thaey's potential bust status, I'm really hoping Lewis shines or Gott may lose interest in white recruits. They've become a staple of NC State basketball over the last 15 years or so, and I've grown rather fond of it.

Todd Fuller, Ben McCaully (sp?), Googs, Chris Corchiani

they look fine to me. oh wait, corchiani was much smaller than the others.
5/10/2012 3:54:13 PM
McCauley clearly doesn't belong on that listnone of the other three ever had facial hair]
5/10/2012 5:03:35 PM
Fuller does not belong on that list. He was an academic All-American.

Ralston Turner has talent but plays lazy. Lazy D and likes to jack up shots.Transferring and playing for a coach that gets him to give a fuck might help. Although I'm kinda surprised he isn't staying at LSU with Johnny Jones coming in. We shall see.

based on his stats he was terrible last year but if you made it illegal to take 2 point shot's he would've been a great player. He rebounds well. He shoots the 3 well. He just never makes 2 point shots and he turns it over a little too often. If we convinced him not to shoot 2's and not to pass to other teams he'd be a solid addition

How can you say a freshman who hardly played and had no hype is a "potential bust"? Seems silly.
5/11/2012 2:04:53 PM
^Because he wasn't good at playing basketball.
5/11/2012 2:17:54 PM
If round out this class with Jefferson and a good wing (transfer most likely)...then we're fucking solid for next year. FAST FORWARD.
5/11/2012 2:26:49 PM
^^first off, he was a freshman who hardly played. would you like to see a list of all the players who didn't play much or well their freshman season who went on to be good college players or even nba players? the list is pretty long. and 2nd, if there was absolutely no hype or expectations, how can he be a "bust"? sorry, i just think it's a stupid comment, and i think you're a total idiot if you agree with it
5/11/2012 2:40:58 PM
if you give a kid a scholarship and he turns out to not be good enough to play, he's a bust by college standards.
5/11/2012 2:58:34 PM
I agree. If he continues to only average 5 minutes a game for the next several years, then he is a bust.
