Portugal was the only team to win a game after playing in manaus. USA was the only team that played in manaus and advanced. This really only applies to a few countries but every world cup game should be played at least in the same general part of the world.

True, but Germany's up and down has a smaller amplitude than a lot of teams to be honest. They are the most consistent team over the past 4 world cups (including this one) and find a way to win even in games they aren't playing well.



After watching both teams all tournament, I definitely felt Germany had this 1 or 2 to nothing but nowhere near this.

One thing to keep in mind is that Brazil hasn't really played this kind of traditional Euro side the entire tournament (maybe Croatia?). Mexico was their toughest in group play, then Chile, then Colombia. Brazil is going to win those matchups 9 times out of 10 because they are similar styles compared to Brazil and Brazil is just better. They haven't played a Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, etc.

Germany's only real negative in their 4 consecutive WC performances is that they consistently find a way to finish 3rd place.
