Not totally serious, but he's still only like 26 and aside from the epic blunder against Chelsea, he's been incredibly consistent the past 2+ seasons. He's easily one of the better left backs in the world, albeit left back isn't an incredibly deep position.

Ashley Cole, Marcelo, Coentrao (arguable), Evra, Abidal are really the only clearly better players I can think of for the position.

He has questionable defending at times though that seems more like a concentration issue, but his attacking is exceptional and his range of passing this season is better than anyone I've seen other than maybe Leighton Baines (who is also very good). He's an undisputed starter on a Premier League title contender and no one is even talking about replacing him... because there isn't really anyone better available.

I think that says more about how good Walker is going to be than how bad BAE is. I won't disagree with you. Right backs are a dime a dozen though. Left back is probably the scarcest position in the world in terms of quality.

The corner was the more egregious call. I can remember at least 2-3 goals or attempts Gervinho had called back on dubious offsides calls off the top of my head this season. They are tough.
