Couple of quick questions:

Pick 2 at RB:

Thomas Jones vs Indy
Steven Jackson vs Det
Jahvid Best vs STL

Also which QB should I play:

Orton vs Baltimore
Favre vs NYJ
or I can pick up Shaun Hill against STL

I think Best is a must start, and I would probably go with S. Jackson against Detriot.

Tough decision at QB. I actually picked up Hill for this week because Brady has a bye. He put up some nice numbers last week, and STL's Def isnt good. I would be wary of playing any QB going against the Ravens D and Jets secondary. I can't believe I am saying this, but the way Orton and Favre have played, I think Hill might be the safer play.

Pick 2
Louis Murphey vs SD
B Wells vs NO
Sims-Walker vs Buf
Roy Williams vs Ten

Rams D is better than people think...They've scored at least 7 points every week.

I'm actually streaming them in multiple leagues.

So after my trade, here's what my WR situation looks like.

Miles Austin vs Tennessee
Percy Harvin vs NYJ
Jacoby Jones vs NYG
Joshua Cribbs vs Atlanta
Malcolm Floyd vs Oakland

Im thinking obviously starting Austin and Harvin, just can't think of who its gonna be at the 3 spot. Points for return yards are relevant in this league.

Help?

Jones is questionable (he will probably play, but not at 100%) and Floyd won't be getting much action under the cover of Asomugha

Cribbs hasn't been a return god (yet) this season, but he has also been stepping up a lot more in the offense (he has had 2 TD's which have been called back or he got knocked down due to PI that I've actually seen). He also runs their wildcat whenever they decide to do it.

so out of those 3, I'd probably say Cribbs, but keep an eye on Jones (and don't even consider Floyd this week)

^^^thanks

Another question...

How many of you use the Same team QB and WR strategy?

For example, Aaron Rogers and Greg Jennings. The bad games for both hurt but when they hook up for a touchdown, its like striking gold.

Is it worth starting someone over a potentially better player if you have a matching QB, (ie Shaub/Jones)?

True, but they still give up a lot of yards, and I think they are still worse than Baltimore's and NY's Defenses.

I think of it like a portfolio, gotta spread the risk. ssjamind knows what I'm talking about.

If you have Manning and Wayne/Clark, its ok. Brady/Welker, its ok. Rivers/Gates its ok. Schaub/Andre its ok.

But just be realistic about it. Don't go out of your way to start Seneca Wallace and Josh Cribbs just because they might hook up for a score.

If you were in a posse you would understand.

And your point on QB/WR combos is valid. Brees/Colston looks legit on paper, but it's fucked me so far this season.

Rams D points against averages

QB: 9.8
RB: 13.3
WR: 20.3
TE: 2.8

This isn't last year's horrible D. I say that and I go and pick up Shaun Hill this week, damn you Mike Vick.

The Rams Defense is better than last year, for sure, but they have not really played any good offenses or QBs yet. McNabb had a pretty good game, putting up 230 yards and a TD, against them. I think there are a lot worse plays than Hill vs the Rams. But I am sure Hill will prove me wrong this weekend.

If you have an awesome QB and a passing team then I'd do it, like Peyton/Reggie, Rivers/Floyd/Gates, or Rodgers/Jennings, possibly Vick/Jackson or Orton/Lloyd. Outside those few groupings, it's most certainly a risk, and won't be consistent if there are too many options like in N.O.

I've been running with Rivers & Floyd and it's been good.

Probably a stupid question because it involves kickers, but should I switch out Robbie Gould for Mason Crosby. I just noticed that he is a free agent in my league?

^I would say Bradford (or Fitz, I didn't see him somehow). He's been playing well and he's going against Detroit.

I'm not sure who to start in my QB and RB spots. Any suggestions?

I think youre fine.

If it was me i MAY go Favre over Sanchez but...thats up to you.

McCoy should be a little beat up. Id keep it like you have it.

Since both QB's play Monday night...

Play Sanchez if you're winning or just trailing by a few...less upside, but less risk

Play Favre if you losing by a lot...more upside, but more risk

Also, if Ahmad's ankle thing is more serious should I go with Turner or McCoy (assuming McCoy is active)?

wait, why are you not playing favre and sanchez instead of fitzpatrick?

and unless you have some wonky scoring you should really have better qbs than that in a league where you can flex a QB

^Yeah I probably will swap Fitz for Favre. I was just going off recent numbers, Fitz looks like the safer choice. I didn't spend any high draft picks on a QB cause I'm a dumbass. I took some higher RBs and Calvin Johnson (who I traded for Andre).

I was offered Tim Hightower and DeSean Jackson for Brandon Jackson.

My other RBs are Deangelo, Knowshon, and two scrubs
My other WRs are Randy Moss, Driver, Austin Collie, and Legedu Nanee.

I have to take this, right? Brandon Jackson isn't going to suddenly turn into a monster?

I would say you are getting a good deal, Hightower & B. Jackson are about equal value and so it's like getting DeSean Jackson for free, and with Vick possibly back in 1-2 weeks, that's a great trade.

Who should I start in my flex spot

M. Floyd vs Oak (I have priv)

R. Torain vs GB

Or should I swap out G. Jennings vs Was in my WR spot, put Floyd in there and play Torain against GB?

Pick one of these RBs...Felix Jones, Beanie Wells, or Tim Hightower. I'm leaning toward Beanie, but I don't really know.

BTW, this was posted on Felix Jones's news page on Yahoo! "Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips says the team plans to get Jones more touches going forward, the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports."...don't know how much that will effect my decision here.

I'd go Beanie just to be safe. Give it a week or two with Jones to see if anything really changes.

What about this: Thinking about trading for a starting QB (my current ones are Eli and Cutler)

Do you think Roethlisburger or Orton has better long term value?

^That's tough. Orton has been great this year. And Denver really has no running game (last in the league) so that'll give Orton more chances. And the Steelers do have a good run game. But Roethlisberger really does have the better options (Wallace, Ward, Heath Miller)...I might go with Orton, but that's a tough one.

We'll see after this week. It's hard to say after not seeing Ben in action this year. To be safe I'd say Orton, he's a good decision maker, but going up against good pass defenses and no running game, they could struggle some weeks. But Orton has good receivers too (Royal, Gaffney, Lloyd, Thomas)

I'm pretty torn for my flex back this week. I have Michael Turner and DeAngelo Williams starting, but I'm not sure who I want to start between Beanie Wells and Michael Bush. I feel like Wells is safer but Bush may have more upside for TDs.

I would go with Bush. Mcfadden is still not totally back, so I would expect Bush to get more touches than Wells.

I need to pick two

B Wells vs NO
Sims-Walker vs Buf
Roy Williams vs Ten
