BigEgo, then you might as well point out that T Mobile is rolling out HSPA+ this year which is 21 mbps.AT&T is CONSTANTLY proven to be one of the worst networks.... not sure why you would try and defend that.
5/21/2010 9:39:18 AM
^agreed. although i've had very little problem with them.. they certainly don't have the greatest network. and i've been a customer of theirs since before they bought Cingular.

I'm assuming by the zero response that there are no incredibles anywhere.Guess I gotta win one of the three they're giving away at BGR.lol

The swipe to copy is still crap. It's much better implemented in the native browser for senseui though. It actually gives you two tabs to drag.
5/21/2010 11:09:10 AM
it's meant to be quick & efficient, typically it's quicker for me to swipe to copy, paste, then just delete what i don't want, than it is to click and drag two tabs to get it perfect. heck most of the time i get what i want to copy in the first swipe.

Oh noes, the nexus one dropped to 180 bucks through vzw, tmobile, and sprint. Still 530 for ATT I'm too much of a whore to change carriers.

5/21/2010 2:55:46 PM
I've got 450 nationwide minutes, 250 txt, and unlimited data for $67/month after discountYou're paying a lot for those extra 450 mins
5/21/2010 2:56:11 PM
5/21/2010 3:07:50 PM
he's probably paying 29.99 for 500 AT minutes and unlimited data/text. I'm paying about 55 for 1250 w/unlimited data and text and it's going to shoot up to 80 when I spring for the Evo -- even after adding a 23% discount for 450 AT.SERO is ftw, but it's finally time to move on.Aight, scratch that, but still semi-relevant.[Edited on May 21, 2010 at 3:09 PM. what is sero?[Edited on May 21, 2010 at 3:25 PM. Reason : ah sprint, nevermind]
5/21/2010 3:24:49 PM
^^ Im in the same boat. Ive been enjoying my $30 SERO plan for almost 6 years, but I think its time to move on now that Sprint is limiting which phones can be used with it. It was great when I was a poor broke college kid though. Im sticking with the cheapest everything plan since I dont talk much....lots of emails and texts though. And with the Anymobile Anytime feature I may never use a single minute. June 4th cant come soon enough.
5/21/2010 3:35:21 PM
just went to THE SHACK to pre-order the EVO and setting up the sprint account it says i have an unpaid balance or something. we call up sprint and apparently someone used my social to create an account. now i have to go through this whole fraud investigation crap... not to mention finding out if they used my social for other things.
5/21/2010 3:44:23 PM
^ holy crap!

so state employees get a 22% discount, looks like i might make the switch

Yeah I'm using the Dolphin HD browser on the Droid and it's smooth.
5/21/2010 5:55:12 PM
Dolphin Browser scrolls so damn smooth, and it provides a better web experience for my backflip since I have 1.5 instead of 2.1

5/22/2010 10:19:27 PM
^^ Just because the Incredible is 1GHz doesn't necessarily make it better. Not to mention the snapdragon is highly overrated and the 3630's are supposed to be pretty damn good and have a better gpu.Froyo walkthroughhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=531mrieo2p4[Edited on May 22, 2010 at 11:20 PM. its largely the same architecture, so it seems like speed would make a big difference.firmware would also. are you saying that the firmware is better on the 720MHz phone?[Edited on May 23, 2010 at 9:05 AM. Reason : s]

Anyone running Froyo yet? It's being rolled out OTA for N1s, no word on any other phones getting it yet. I've been on 3G all weekend and haven't gotten it yet, so no clue what their process is for prioritizing who gets it when. http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/05/22/breaking-android-2-2-froyo-ota-now-available-for-the-nexus-one/

fucking junk
5/23/2010 1:19:09 PM
The backflip isn't nearly as bad of a phone as most people make it out to be. Motoblur is a decent ROM, and it was and for whatever reason still is the only android I could get on AT&T without paying full price for the phone. Yeah the N1 >>>>>>>> the backflip, but paying 99 bucks for a backflip works >>>> better than paying ~550 right now
5/23/2010 6:36:07 PM
How is the eris, I am considering it as a cheaper alternative to save some money. Will it be able to run most apps or is it stuck on an old version of android.
5/23/2010 6:48:55 PM
^^ Yeah the Backflip isn't so bad except for all crippling that AT&T did to it.
5/23/2010 6:57:35 PM
the eris has 2.1 released I believe. there's nothing special about the hardware. the 528 MHz processor and ~288MB of RAM have been in phones for a while. i'm sure bare minimum someone will eventually make a froyo ROM for it if HTC doesn't.^you can do non-market through ADB, and supposedly it's possible to root it (I think you need special developer tools though because none of the tricks that have worked on other phones work on the backflip) only other thing missing is google search widget, and it's pretty easy to just use a shortcut to my browser whose default search is google instead of the yahoo widget. I'd love to be able to root or have AT&T leave some bloatware off the 2.1 ROM in development, but I'll be fine with a 2.1 similar to the experience I get with 1.5]

I have my wife's Nexus running Froyo, rooted AND the incredibly easy task of tricking hulu into working also.I watched Modern Family on her phone... played a LOT of Flash games from websites. Froyo is amazing. Seriously what I was expecting.
