i dont know, b/c the russel nc state team was 0-0 with sc, it was a diff team that gave up 34 points.

but isnt that the whole reason we played glennon tonight so that he could replace an injured russel? does the coaching staff think he is so frail that he is gonna get hurt as a kurt warner lookalike?

bullshit.

did you watch nc state football after the usc game last year??

Hmm, according to the SC message board this was a helluva win. I doubt they'd accept an explanation that the ridiculous fumble won it for them.

Yeah ... I didn't say he was completely to blame, just that there were times when he would have taken off north-to-south last year and seemed to hesitate. Maybe it was coaching, maybe it wasn't.

I think we're expecting too much out of one player. His WR couldn't get much separation and couldn't haul in some key passes. I don't have to tell anyone how shitty the oline played. It was like watching Junior, the QB for the Little Giants, out there.

my observations:
-surprisingly, i thought we looked a little underprepared for this game
-defense played well
-wilson was handcuffed by the coaching staff imo
-south carolina's defense shut our offense down, plain and simple
-we fumbled in our own redzone
-^that was the difference in the game
-i can't believe i've been waiting since december to watch this snoozefest of a game

Yeah that was a terrible no-call but to be fair we DID get the makeup call later in the drive.

It wasn't really a make-up call. The guy abused Jarvis Williams on what could have been a TD. But it was nice to get A call.

yea definitely not a make up call, but we were placed in the same situation we would have been in and still didnt produce

And^^^^ you're right. It came down to line play. Our pass rush was great, and I loved the blitz packages we were running. But somehow, Garcia seemed to have great pocket presence.

I would have never thought that when TB fumbled, that would be the game. But it was

i think it was more of a case of the entire offense getting scared/hesitant after the baker fumble and being too conservative to try and make anything happen

either way, it IS a better start than last season...our defense has to have some confidence, and our offense should definitely be able to get their swagger up the next couple weeks against some ass opponents

not calling the facemask was unbelievable.
south carolina's linebackers are the real deal.
i thought our defense played surprisingly well.
it seemed like wilson was over thinking things.
i thought south carolina did an excellent job covering our receivers.

i'm not really angry, i'm just disappointed. i think we'll be fine this year but feel the oline still has a long way to go. that being said, i give all the credit in the world to south carolina's defense they absolutely shut us down.

Did they shut us down or was the offense just inept? That's what's so hard to figure out with this game. The biggest thing was trying to turn RW into something he's not, a pure pocket passer.

definitely wasn't a make up call, you're a terrible football "fan", a makeup call would have been a questionable call that went our way, the PI was textbook

ref to TOB while explaining the no call after a USC player nearly beheaded Rashard Smith "Coach, I can't call a facemask if he doesn't touch the facemask... that tackle was ALL HELMET!

No shit. SC's defense was legit. Not just the front seven either -- the secondary made some great plays on the ball. I think we all underestimated how good/fast they'd be on d (at least that's what I'm going to tell myself).

Twista is right though. Regardless of how disappointed we all are, we're still miles ahead of where we were last year. We had no flow on offense, made some horrible mistakes, and still lost by four points to a good SEC team. It sucks, but we'll be alright.

OK right, whatever. We weren't getting calls all night for the most part and we get one like one play after the facemask. No replay for it either. You can call it what you want but the timing is suspect. I forgot, I'm talking to the master of football here. You miss nothing.

i'm glad you admit that you know nothing about basic football

i expect the referees to make calls according to the rules, doing their fucking job doesn't makeup for not doing it earlier

Do you think we would've gotten that call without the facemask happening earlier? Considering all the other missed ones? Answer that.

USC will do very well to go .500 this year.

Their offense was dog shit. They will struggle. NCSU defense was just ok against a Daniel Evans style offense.

We were lucky not to lose by 20

Honestly, if a guy's head goes flying in a different direction than his body is moving, it's a pretty easy call. So yeah, I'd expect to get that one.

yes, actually I would expect to get that PI call, it was textbook interference, just like the offensive PI in the first quarter was

First one was much more obvious -- the TD one you're talking about, right? And also, there's a difference between what you expect to be called and what actually gets called, ya know. A football genius like you would know that.

We'll see. Garcia has good timing and good accuracy -- just seems to have "it" as a QB. They've got a rough road in the SEC, but they're not complete dog shit. Their record will probably look like it at the end of the year, though. And Norwood is a monster.

We lost the game because of the no-call on the facemask

a team that can't score an offensive td is not going to be competitive in the SEC

This loss hurts...

We didn't even use an offensive playbook until the 4th quarter. Despite all of the little things going against us, we still have a chance to win - but we dropped 2 passes in the endzone

Our D-line better step up and play big all year, b/c I have very little confidence in our LB's and Secondary. USC had a lot of long painful drives, but they kept fucking themselves over, or our D-Lane would make a play or two.

yeah USC is not a good team. Garcia didn't really look that impressive, Norwood was good, but I'm not sure how good he'll be against the SEC

South Carolina looked like a shitty team tonight, their one score was basically a gift, but that just means State is that much worse. I think they had under 100 total yards of offense going into the 4th quarter

Just got back from the game and just a couple notes:

looks like that could easily be the best defense we will play all year.

when they took down Graham with the face mask, alls I'm saying is from my seat right above where that happened that would have been fined in the NFL. Disgusting arm tackle. Couldve broken his neck

I'm converting the Dvr format to AVI and uploading to a torrent. I'll put the link up later if anybody even wants this garbage.

2008 russel wilson is better than 3 points against the best defense in North America.

That wasn't the same team we saw last year. Fucking cocksuckers.

I want my money back - that was embarrassing.
