Dgspencer, can you play tonight? I'd prefer to knock it out before Ole Miss-South Carolina but can put the game on DVR and catch up if need be. Let me know what time you can actually play, and I'll get on then. I don't want to wait around for an hour and a half tonight. What other games are still out there? I'll be out of town for the weekend, but can play my CPU Week 3 game early friday or wait til Sunday night.

NC State - 21Tennessee -14NC State wins the game, but loses Russell Wilson for half the season as they hold off the Vols. Jarvis Williams leads the way making key plays when NC State needed them, making 6 catches for 147 yards and 2 TDs. Mike Glennon goes 3/3 14 yards and a TD, and hands the ball off as NC State grinds the clock out.

FSU has played and is ready. Boston College is perhaps the worst team I've ever played. It was brutal by halftime...
9/24/2009 9:22:20 PM
South Carolina gets embarassed at home as the story of the game was turnovers. Stephen Garcia threw 7 interceptions and Baker lost 1 fumble as the #6 Tide handled SC 59-24. Not much to say about this game that hasn't been said. 7 interceptions
9/24/2009 10:14:27 PM
Final:#6 Alabama- 59South Carolina- 24The Tide rolls through Columbia and right over Spurrier's gamecocks. Turnovers was the story of the game as Garcia looked Harrison Beck-esque, throwing 7 ints. The Bama defense forced 8 total turnovers including a fumble as Saban's game plan was to force Garcia into making bad decisions. The Crimson Tide also finished the game with 3 sacks. When Bama had the ball, they pounded it on the ground as Junior running back Mark Ingram tallied 177yds on 29 carries and a TD before being injured for a quarter. The Tide special teams left a lot to be desired as Freshman kicker Nathan Green could barely get the ball to the 20 and the kickoff squad gave up several long returns along with a kickoff return for a TD. Green also missed what should've been a chip shot field goal near the end of regulation as he underestimated his kicking strength. #6 Bama:Jackson- 7/10 for 148yds, 2 TD, 1 int (stupid receiver)Ingram- 29 carries for 177yds, 1 TDSouth Carolina:Garcia- 21/35 for 250yds, 2 TD, 7 intsA LOOK AHEAD: A likely top 5 squad invade Fayetteville, Arkansas as they take on the 2-0 Arkansas Razorbacks. Saban said the Tide wouldn't be overlooking the razorbacks and would continue to focus on their ground game while getting RS Sophomore QB Star Jackson more involved in the passing game. Any kinks in the Tide defense and special teams will need to be worked out as the schedule doesn't get any easier when the top 3 Gators come to Tuscaloosa the following week.[Edited on September 24, 2009 at 10:38 PM. 9/25/2009 12:10:01 AM
sucks that you lost RW markgoal... but I mean you were kinda asking for it cheesing that sprint to the sideline and throw under the safety.
9/25/2009 1:19:26 AM
cheese = bullshitVandy gave me problems again, but squeaked out a 20-17 victory in a downpour
9/25/2009 1:24:39 AM
Didn't post last night but Glennon had a strong game leading me to a 35-21 victory at Maryland. The Pack prepare for the Tarholes.^^Just taking what was there in your defensive scheme with my personnel.
9/25/2009 7:10:59 AM
It's annoying but there's always contain and corner blitzes to put an end to that. Had the same issue with LSU last year and it was a pain in the ass chasing the quarterback all game but it got the job done. And note, the rules say designed rollouts and bootlegs are ok but sprinting backwards or to the sidelines nearly every play are a no-no.
9/25/2009 7:23:22 AM
He was blitzing off the edge nearly every play and I was scrambling away from the blitz. I can't recruit a new left tackle in the middle of the game. If he was tired of getting beat he could always back off of the blitz and contain. The designed rollouts are both a big part of the NC State offense and what was dictated by the defense he was playing. I was rolling the QB just far enough to get a pass off (usually right outside of the tackle box), not to the sideline. You can't keep crashing the pocket with overloaded pressure against a mobile quarterback and not pay the price.[Edited on September 25, 2009 at 7:39 AM. Reason : .]
9/25/2009 7:37:38 AM
i'm not saying you were breaking the rules man, I was just frustrated because Jarvis Williams looked like Michael Crabtree on that one play. I was actually running a contain to the right and I got blocked... it was a good play on your part.also, any time i got anything going I coughed the ball up... which also pissed me off, but so did you a couple of times. I think I hit russel wilson like 9 or 10 times in that game and he didn't get injured until the game was in hand [Edited on September 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Reason : /rant]
