damn, i saw a series of pics of a backhoe putting itself up in a train car full of coal similar to that. the doors on the bottom wouldn't open so he put it up there and emptied the car out.
4/19/2009 1:50:56 PM
^^winner!
4/19/2009 1:55:55 PM
^^^ awesome!^^ i've seen that series before too. it's pretty cool. they do that quite frequently from what i understand.at the conexpo they have a "dancing digger" show which is just a bunch of tractors doing some acrobatic shit. it's pretty cool too.(this post brought to you by d7freestyler)
4/19/2009 2:00:12 PM
yeah, after googling i found that it's pretty common. they actually modify the front bucket and stabilizers so it'll work better.
4/19/2009 2:03:24 PM
yeah. i remember talking with some guys from clayton (where they make backhoes) about it and they said they actually worked with the dealers/buyers to do it. that was when i had my cat job.(again, d7freestyler here)

On the topic of construction equipment...this maneuver would take a brass pair. With the hydraulic articulation, any minute movement of the steering wheel would swing the ass end of the machine greatly.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnVkeZXsXjo
