Haith is a Barnes guyword was he was gonna be recomended for the Tejas job if Barnes came hereit is impossible to have wanted Barnes SO FUCKING MUCH, and have such a blind hatred for HaithIs he Calipari/Barnes/pitino/tubby/wright.....no, but damn, i bet most of you talking shit know nothing more about him then the 4 times we played the canes in the last 2 years, and what the dude looks likeget the fuck off his dick, is he #1 guy, no....could he be successful here, most definately

I dont like the style of basketball Haith plays....whether its barnes or not. His style looks out of control and relies on streaky shooters to penetrate and create something that probably shouldnt be there. Now that could be just because Miami has some shit players and 2 great guards, or because he doesnt know anything else. I watched a lot of them in the first two years in the ACC. I watch too much basketball/sports in general. I'm not knocking the guy, but I do have questions about his coaching style.^dumbass....he recruited most of them for Barnes[Edited on April 6, 2006 at 10:59 PM. Reason : ]

So how is he attributed those recruits and not barnes? Just asking, did they say they signed there because of him or something?

Not that this makes a difference on way or the other, but I phoned into the Fox Sports Radio Show. He told me that he had been following the situation, which was good to know, and that he thinks, and had been talking to "people", that we are going to end up with a up and coming coach. Just his two cents.
4/6/2006 11:28:17 PM
eghh
4/6/2006 11:29:40 PM
this isn't hard to figure out guyswe're not going to get a good coach or have a winning season next yearit's gonna be a while before something opens up
4/6/2006 11:31:46 PM
DAMMIT I WANT HERB BACK!!!!!!!!
4/6/2006 11:32:41 PM
^shouldn't you be suspended?
4/6/2006 11:34:25 PM
Wait, thats not true. We will have a winning season next year. Wake Forest was so bad this year and they were above .500. We also could get a great young coach with a lot of energy and great at the X's and O's. Think a young Dean Smith or K.
4/6/2006 11:34:29 PM
4/6/2006 11:34:40 PM
if we don't get calipari, fowler is a royal screw-up and a disgrace to the position. Why would big donors be against calipari? against winning?[Edited on April 6, 2006 at 11:37 PM. Reason : ]
4/6/2006 11:36:20 PM
I think that Calipari is not the end all coach for Fowler's legacy. I think a John Brady or Gilespie would could be a great find for LF.
4/6/2006 11:37:41 PM
Is he being investigated at Memphis?
4/6/2006 11:37:53 PM
for all the talk about being a successful program and competeing on a national level, we need an established PROVEN coach.....not an up-and-comer
4/6/2006 11:39:57 PM
the more i hear a/b gilespie, the better he's sounding. i wouldn't be too disappointed with him.but calipari definitely needs to be our number one target.and of course the longshots should be contacted at least...pitino, wright...meh....maybe tubbybut please no brady.
4/6/2006 11:45:41 PM
4/6/2006 11:47:20 PM
whats wrong with brady? (dont know much about him)
4/6/2006 11:50:15 PM
no gillespie, GM one-hit-oneder, haith, jarvis, or upandcomersCALIPARI
4/6/2006 11:50:18 PM
has anyone mentioned...Phil Martelli-Italian-loud-is a coachim not sure if his fashion sense is bad enough^if you wont take Gilispie at all, then you really must not know anything about what he did at UTEP and TAMU.[Edited on April 6, 2006 at 11:51 PM. Reason : .]
4/6/2006 11:50:24 PM
We should do whatever it takes to get Calipari. And then if he doesn't want it, try for Jay Wright. Then someone else.
4/6/2006 11:53:13 PM
other notable Italians we should contact:Rollie Massimino PJ CarlesimoTom Izzo Geno AuriemmaDiana TaurassiLou Carnesecca
4/6/2006 11:54:00 PM
tony danza should coach
4/6/2006 11:54:22 PM
Calapari should be our number 1 target and rightfully so with the way he recruits and his record speaks for itself.. but getting Gilispie would not be the end of the world.. he brought 2 programs from the shit hole and made them respectable
4/6/2006 11:54:40 PM
i suggested PJ earlier this weekwhat about Fran Fraschilla?(realistically im hoping for Brady or Gillispie)[Edited on April 6, 2006 at 11:56 PM. Reason : .]
4/6/2006 11:55:20 PM
as long as he's Italian and has a moustache and/or wears jogging suits, he's fine by me
4/6/2006 11:56:32 PM
i want a guy who smokes on the sidelines. you know how badass that would look?
4/6/2006 11:58:04 PM
pipe or cigar?
4/6/2006 11:59:04 PM
Definately pipe
4/6/2006 11:59:40 PM
cigar, duhV dont have to yet...we can still get a good major conference coach, just not a guy everyone's splooging over right now.[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 12:03 AM. Reason : .]
4/7/2006 12:01:53 AM
Guys, realistically we should be looking into to rally good mid major coaches. I think that is the best long term route, unless we get Calipari.
4/7/2006 12:02:29 AM
HOW IS AN UNPROVEN MID-MAJOR COACH WITH ZERO TIES TO THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA AN IMPROVEMENT FROM HERB?????????
4/7/2006 12:04:10 AM
If we hire a mid major coach he better be named Gregg Marshall
4/7/2006 12:04:22 AM
POTENTIAL[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 12:05 AM. Reason : but, seriously we need to get Cali.]
4/7/2006 12:04:38 AM
Guys, Herb left, we didn't fire him. We are trying to find a coach to take us to the next level, which could be one of the young guns from the MVC or something.
4/7/2006 12:05:00 AM
4/7/2006 12:05:32 AM
you guys pushed him out the door
4/7/2006 12:05:59 AM
I could tottaly see Marshall.
