thought I had it figured out until I drove the r8 V10 RWS. I can't get it out of my head now. I think I'm getting an r8 v10 plus now.

What made you prefer it over a Huracan?
3/9/2020 8:36:02 AM
price, lower profile, better steering, way better interior, parts availability[Edited on March 9, 2020 at 11:24 PM. Reason : also has way more leg and headroom]
3/9/2020 11:14:43 PM
Interesting, thanks for the insight.Personally if I were buying a car of that caliber, I would prefer it to be higher profile. But it does depend on usage and a few other things. I think the Audi is way too low key.
3/10/2020 9:52:20 AM
to each their own. I don't even wash my cars and I don't wear clothes nicer than old navy, so its obvious outward appearance doesn't factor much into my day to day.
3/10/2020 10:09:49 AM
I’ve been looking for a S2000 CR for mostly collector’s purpose. What’s your opinion on it?
3/14/2020 10:55:55 PM
My opinion is goddamn, I can’t imagine how much you’d spend on a nice one and how much more car you could get elsewhere for the same amount of money...But as a collector piece, it may still be worth it?
3/15/2020 12:17:19 AM
The ones I’ve been looking at are in the 35-45$k range in mint condition with 20-50k miles. There’s only 699 made and I think the value will go up.
3/15/2020 1:47:38 AM
are you planning on driving it too or just going to shows and stuff? these "concourse" examples I keep seeing draw big money have ~<1000 miles. no way I could spend that much on something and not use it
3/15/2020 8:21:09 AM
I’ll be driving it maybe once or twice a month.
3/15/2020 9:12:47 AM
3/15/2020 10:23:01 AM
LOL
3/15/2020 11:35:00 AM
Whatever...an S2000 is an absolutely first-rate sports car, even if it doesn't smash your eyeballs back into your skull when you lay into the throttle. I would have bought a 3rd one last year, except that the values have gotten crazy.
3/15/2020 1:26:01 PM
To be fair, I was using smoothcrim's definition of "appliance car performance"
3/15/2020 4:26:18 PM
oh ok. haha.
3/15/2020 4:42:55 PM
From the Supra thread if u want a funny read
3/15/2020 5:34:34 PM
I've been thinking a lot about the mirthlimo
3/16/2020 2:08:43 AM
Looks like "appliance car performance" tbh
3/16/2020 5:18:43 AM
Umm do you not see the flames?
3/17/2020 1:14:08 AM
6 wheels AND flames?!SOLD.and while an s2000 has incredibly low power numbers, it makes up for it in weight savings and driver dynamics. both of those features are missing from the z4/supra, making for an especially underwhelming package for 55k+

3/25/2020 6:17:14 PM
holy jesus a car that doesn't get stamped with smothcrim's "appliance car performance" tag praise be!
3/25/2020 6:19:51 PM
i'd post pics of the new whip, but seems uploads are broke
3/25/2020 11:15:07 PM
No need to rely on 20 year old code.Use imgur or something.[Edited on March 25, 2020 at 11:46 PM. Reason : you are in the technology biz right? ]

Looks like a Kenmore
3/26/2020 3:43:21 PM

3/26/2020 4:00:16 PM
Oh right, forgot about that.
3/27/2020 4:58:52 PM
time to take it to Underground

4/3/2020 10:00:09 PM
^go for 2010
4/3/2020 10:42:44 PM
LS7 is a helluva motor. I don't think a vette has seen a better one from the factory
4/4/2020 12:14:51 AM
^^ why?
4/6/2020 12:20:53 AM
I want a loud angry American V8 for <$30k. Don't care who makes it. Sedan wouldn't hurt but not a deal breaker. And ofc I have to not get something that smoothcrim deems as "appliance car performance" which is a snarky of saying I want gobs of HP.[Edited on April 6, 2020 at 12:29 AM. Reason : Hard to look past the cts-v cause I'm fancy ]
4/6/2020 12:27:34 AM
hard not to look at the C6 or CTS-V. Don't forget the LS2 GTO's and the G8 GT's.hell, any of the newer Camaro/Mustang/Challenger would be a pleaser
4/6/2020 10:37:11 AM
whats the budget?
4/6/2020 8:08:59 PM
$30k maxI'm probably pulling a Duke here and not gonna get it but I'm definitely interested
4/6/2020 8:16:25 PM
e90 m3 isn't american v8, but they're damn cheap these days. what about a chevy ss? get some sweet holden badges. not sure if the 2nd gen cts-v's are that cheap yet, but that'd probably be at the top of the list for me
4/6/2020 9:22:45 PM
4/6/2020 11:46:35 PM
how many horsepressures you after? I think the SS is 400+. wouldn't be surprised if its over 450 with a cam, exhaust, and tune[Edited on April 7, 2020 at 10:24 AM. Reason : if you just want shouty and not necessarily american, c63 amg is solid too]
4/7/2020 10:16:28 AM
SS
4/7/2020 10:22:09 AM
how about a 4th gen F-body with a turbo?
4/8/2020 8:20:01 AM
lol no thx
4/8/2020 1:04:13 PM
CTS-V coupe would also be a hot one
4/9/2020 8:33:20 AM
I would like 4 doors, but its not a must have.Wondering if the move to a 500hp+ American monster is an over correction to my flaccid 4cyl BMW or if I should just throw caution to the wind...Definitely entering pay to play land, but which of the cars being discussed would be predicted to be the most reliable/not too expensive to fix?]
4/14/2020 11:40:50 PM
...one that has 500hp in oem form. if it's modified you're going to have to be aware of the following:- how is it tuned, what is the quality of the tune, do you know a tuner or can you tune yourself- what supporting modifications are there - transmission, cooling, driveshaft, rear end. No supporting mods = quicker time to part failure- what fuel required - 93, E85, methanol injection, which will determine your driving habits and fuel-up stopsBascially if you can't be a jack of all trades for the car, you better be friends with a mechanic and a tuner. For example, my boss's wife has a 95 T/A that makes over 1000 to the wheels, lots of fun. She drives it around town for 30-40mins at a time when she wants to cruise.... but it's got a powerglide transmission, slicks, and runs on C16 race fuel. It can get hot quick and eventually she'll have to get to back to the shop or house where there's a can of fuel.[Edited on April 15, 2020 at 8:28 AM. Reason : -]
4/15/2020 8:25:12 AM
I guess that was an extreme example, but you really do need to have a good relationship with an adept car guy if you're not one yourself.
