No, I'd root for them every time against City. But Nani dives... a lot.Anyway, came to post that QPR sacked Warnock.

Oh dang. I kinda liked Warnock. I thought he probably talked a little too much but I liked him. Hopefully he takes the England job

http://blogs.thescore.com/footyblog/2012/01/09/the-top-100-footballers-in-the-world-the-complete-list-including-10-1/Here's that entire list of Top 100 players I mentioned a few pages ago. Suarez is 11 I forgot Yaya Toure in my Top 10 PL list. He's been legit as fuck this year.
1/9/2012 9:37:08 AM
List is bullshit. Silva at 5 and he can't even get a sniff at Spain's starting 11? Rooney above van Persie? It's obviously an extremely current list. Considering what van Persie has done the past 12 months, he should be top 5. Luis Suarez 11? Fucking joke. Neymar at 20 already? What the fuck has he actually done so far? Ribery is only 29? He should be ahead of Modric and Modric is already a little low. List is bunk. I do like that they included defenders and keepers in the list though.[Edited on January 9, 2012 at 9:51 AM. Reason : ]

u mad?
1/9/2012 12:20:42 PM
C'mon, brotha.......Suarez is not a world top 20 player. He's very good, but not even a top 5 striker in the EPL. (well, arguably #5....RVP, Rooney, Aguero, Tevez) CERTAINLY not better than Aguero who they have rated lower. LOL, they have Gareth Bale rated higher than Carlos Tevez.]
1/9/2012 2:19:07 PM
I agree he shouldn't be rated higher than those others (except Tevez at this point) but that doesn't mean he's not a top 20 player. I'm sure the Aguero ranking is due to what Suarez has done recently with Uruguay and Aguero is just recently starting to come on for Argentina. And that also hurts players like Bale, I'm sure. The majority of you all cannot separate Suarez's demeanor and "punkness" from his actual game. He can ball.
1/9/2012 2:47:52 PM
I don't think anyone hear is saying he isn't elite.
1/9/2012 2:50:58 PM
Lists and rankings are always going to open to interpretation but if Suarez isn't in the 10-20 range, where is he?Tell me out some players that have done what he's done in the last two years and I'll reconsider. I just don't get how ranking a player with his recent accomplishments highly is a "fucking joke."If you think of these lists as a player could be either 5 spots up or down, it looks more accurate. I agree Rooney over RVP looks dumb but one spot isn't that big of a difference. I do agree that Neymar at #20 is stupid too. [Edited on January 9, 2012 at 3:05 PM. Reason : .]

suarez has been excellent for uruguay over the last few years and he has been very good, but unlucky, in the EPL. I think he leads the league in woodwork hits.

I've said before he's a fantastic player. I think he's one of the trickiest dribblers I've ever seen. But he is not even close to Top 10 players in the world. He wasn't even the best player on the World Cup squad for Argentina. Diego Forlan was having the best form of his career during that tournament. Suarez is very good, but not #11.I still hate him though.

I definitely meant Uruguay.I thought Falcao played pretty well he's just on a way worse team.
1/10/2012 12:53:01 AM
suarez played in this little tournament called the copa america that apparently none of you have heard of. Since none of you seem to realize that they play soccer outside of england allow me to inform you that a) Uruguay won, b) suarez was by far the best player on their squad, c) he won the player of the tournament. Also, the last time Suarez took the field for Uruguay he scored 4 goals--which is more than wayne rooney has scored in the past TWO YEARS playing for england. But yeah, no way he's a top 20 footballer.

1/10/2012 4:35:01 PM
that doesn't stop him from being a douche....this is in fact a good analogy to suarez, this guy makes some good points but his negative qualities will cause people to not respect him

Kompany red appeal failedLOL
1/10/2012 6:24:11 PM
That is excellent news for Spurs. We won't have Adebayor, but they won't have Kolo and Yaya Toure or Kompany. The title is actually theoretically within grasp.

Adebayor is ineligible to play against Man City because of the terms of his loan deal. He's still available for every other game though. But with the way the top 6 teams are playing this season, if you lose to one team, you will very likely finish behind them which means if Tottenham is actually going to make a run for it, they almost HAVE to beat City.
