I got to 99 Enchant, 100 Heavy Armor, 100 Smithing, and pretty high in Alchemy. And I'm at around level 47. I initially thought that the level cap was 50. Then, I saw somewhere that it was at 80, so I figured I would switch to a Light Armor-Stealth-Dagger-Archery character for a while. I enchanted a Ring and Necklace with 39% Bow Damage (total of 78% more). Then I made a Daedric Bow, improved it to 95 damage, enchanted it with 24 points of fire damage, and used the free arrow exploit to get 250+ Daedric arrows.Needless to say, I'm sneaking around dungeons one-shotting everything, save for the higher level enemies (Dragonpriests, Draugr Overlords, etc.).And I moved everything from Breezehome to Vlindrel Hall in Markarth. Awesome house. Plenty of storage area. Nice setup.I also found a Ebony Bow of Malediction (15 second Soul Trap), and went in to Valthume Keep with about 35 empty Soul Gems and went to town trapping every Draugr soul in there, so I should be 100 Enchant soon.Stony Creek Cave is a really neat cave. You have to go to it to get Finn's Flute, part of a Bards College Quest. While in it, you can access the back way to Kagrenzel, a Dwarven Ruin.

Enchanting 100 is literally twice as good as enchanting 99, so you might as well get that last point and take the top enchanting perk.

^ Sorry...that was a little harsh.I just enchanted a ring, necklace, and gloves with 25% Smithing and 25% Alchemy, a Blacksmith's apron with 25% Smithing, and a circlet with 25% Alchemy. My alchemy skill is at 96...so close...but I don't have any perks right now. I'm about 2/3rds of the way to Level 49, and I'm going to continue to work on my Thief Stone skills.
1/14/2012 3:16:44 PM
funfact: you can wear a circlet and a falmer helmet at the same time which means an extra skill enchant slot

I heard there was some glitch in the houses you can own that have mannequins (I only have the Riften house so far) where if you activate the mannequin, put a set of armor in the mannequin's inventory, remove all the armor from the mannequin, immediately leave the house, and come back inside of the house, you'll have the armor in your inventory and there will be another set of it on the mannequinhaven't tried it so i dunno if its been patched, but sounds like a much easier way to get a 2nd (or 3rd) set of daedric armor for examplealso this guy has a massive army of followers...i was gonna go ahead and take Elsbern and Delphine to the templre and just keep Lydia and Barbas, but now I might have to try some of this and roll extra deep...notice how annoying Barbas is even in the first 20 seconds of the video lol[Edited on January 14, 2012 at 6:26 PM. just read a few tips you may or may not know about:- you can pay to take a horse and carriage to any of the major cities, even if you haven't discovered them yet and can't fast travel to them- if you have a pick axe equipped, you can 'attack' ore to begin mining; if you are dual wielding two pickaxes, you can mine ore faster- shooting magic at a mage's ward nullifies the magic, but shooting it on the ground right near him ignores the ward and does max damage- when you fuck up picking a lock, the broken part of the pick will fly towards the correct unlock position
1/14/2012 9:19:47 PM
That army of followers thing is pretty cool
1/14/2012 9:42:22 PM
The mannequin glitch works, it hasn't been patched
1/14/2012 9:50:55 PM
that guy in the video was talking about some follower editor (on PC only obviously) coming out that allows you to modify whether they can carry items, etcwonder if you can get Barbas decked out in daedric dog armor
1/14/2012 10:06:33 PM
1/15/2012 1:16:07 AM
Wait did nobody post a link to the glitch to get to 81 instantly? You can use the crazy dwemer book and a bookshelf to max out everything. Wasn't patched a couple weeks ago.
1/15/2012 2:17:22 AM
Damn, I've accumulated significant bounties in a few cities from finalizing the assassins guild main quest and now the guards attack me on sight. Any way to pay it off? They attack on site and don't stop for a sheathed weapon. I see there's a way to establish a thieves guild in a given city and you can get a discounted bribe to remove your bounty, but that's about all I've found.
1/15/2012 3:24:34 AM
^^ ruins the point of playing.
1/15/2012 8:33:17 AM
Enemy leveling caps at 50.
1/15/2012 9:16:18 AM
hmm...just hit 50 yesterday...will have to start putting the difficulty up as I progress further

^^ Once, after I had recently learned Storm Call, a dragon attacked some town (Falkreath?), so I let Storm Call rip...the next thing I know, the dragon is gone, and my bounty shoots up 100040300...etc..it ended up being near 4000, with ALL of the guards attacking me before I loaded again
1/15/2012 9:36:42 AM
I didn't have much of a chance to sneak in these situations since it was pertinent to the end of the Assassin's Guild main quest:
1/15/2012 1:19:47 PM
I finally ditched Esbern and Delphine at the temple, so now its just me my dog and my girlI can now buy a new house, Solitude I think, but its like 25,000 wtfStill I want some new mannequins to duplicate some sets of daedric armor and be able to experiment with different enchantments
1/15/2012 3:31:12 PM
Figured this out today...I've been collecting and buying grand soul gems for a while and, now that I'm a double-enchanter, I decided to collect some grand souls...UESP has a page that lists what creature has what kind of soul...Mammoths have Grand Souls. So I Smithed a Daedric Bow (while wearing +100% Smithing gear), then enchanted the bow with Soul Trap +10 seconds and 24points of Fire Damage, enchanted my helm, necklace and ring with 40% extra bow damage, and am using Daedric Arrows to Two-Shot Mammoths to fill my Grand Soul Gems.
1/15/2012 4:21:08 PM
awesome, Robbaz did a Barbas video
1/15/2012 6:24:49 PM
Ahaha, I just now realized that you can level up the first perk in the skills five times. My archery/one-handed just doubled instantly because I'm an idiot.
1/15/2012 6:43:58 PM
kdogg: Brew up some Fortify Smithing potion, I think mine is +131 or so and then using that and your smithing enchanted gear upgrade your weapons.I think my Legendary Daedric Bow does 515 with my Fortify Archery enchantments on.
1/15/2012 8:17:28 PM
Nice...I will have to work on both that, and my Fortify Enchanting potions...I read it is rather cyclical in that you have to make enchanting potions, enchant things that boost alchemy, then use those to make enchanting potions, and so on...seems like a waste of time/soul gems
1/16/2012 12:01:29 AM
I wouldn't call it a waste, but the highest enchantment boost I've created for alchemy and smithing is +23. My potion of fortify enchanting is +33%My trade route has been updated. I now run in a figure 8 pattern starting in Whiterun, then going to Riften and Windhelm, back to Whiterun, then off to Markarth and Solitude and back to Whiterun. If you have all of the fences available it's at least 31 merchants. (7+4+4+7+4+5)

10. Diseases were still easy in Morrowind. Besides Vampirism I've never thought diseases were all that important or meaningful in TES.9. Spellmaking could be fun but it was broken and cheesetacular. They broke magic somewhat in Skyrim by not making destruction scale, but if that was fixed spellmaking wouldn't be needed.8. Level scaling in Skyrim was alright. Having the best stuff in set locations just encourages people to google their locations so they can get the best stuff at the beginning.7. Stats in previous elder scrolls games have always been crappy. I'm glad they got rid of attributes because they were terrible before.6. The Ace of All Trades - This one I agree with. There should be minimum requirements for guilds.5. This is somewhat present in Skyrim as well, at least in the civil war quest. There aren't any other competing guilds though.4. Morrowind had a good deal of docile and similar monsters as well, I'd have to see the lists compared.3. They added the carriages exactly for these people. You also can't fast travel away from danger immediately because you can't fast travel while in combat.2. The stock UI in Skyrim is terrible, but so is Morrowind. I'll take SkyUI over both.1. I thought both settings were perfect. Skyrim isn't supposed to be freaky like morrowind, it's more "strange" than Oblivion but Bethesda still goes back to freaky landscapes when it's appropriate (Blackreach, Shivering Isles).
1/16/2012 1:24:32 PM
Morrowind UI is fucking awful, especially inventory management
1/16/2012 1:32:39 PM
10. Whenever I discovered that I had a disease in Morrowind / Oblivion it was always a surprise. They were never debilitating enough that I cared. I'd eventually get cured and move on. I've been immune to disease since becoming a werewolf early on in Skyrim and I feel like disease has played no more or less a role for me in this game than in the previous two.9. I never bothered with spellmaking in M/O that I can remember. I know that enchanting could make you well powerful enough.8. Leveling really never bothered me that much in M/O. I felt that having weapons that paralyzed your enemy could help you take down anything and played a bigger role in my ability to explore any dungeon. Not having to have a spreadsheet to plan out every level up in Skyrim is fantabulous compared to M/O7. Perks > Stats.6. AndyMac and OP are right. If you don't have the skills of a n00b mage you shouldn't be eligible to be the Arch-Mage. I'm the Arch-Mage and I've never spent one upgrade on Magic in all of my 52 or so level ups.5. I'd be okay with warring factions if there were two fighters guilds, maybe one traditional and one upstart, or the thieves guild vs. pirates or something to that effect. I like the civil war aspect between stormcloaks and the empire, but too many rival factions means you can't experience all of it as one character and have to re-roll if you want to see all of the storylines.4. I'm not really seeing the lack of variety in creatures. I guess Morrowind had Golden Souls, but most of the other critters seem to be consistent through the three most recent games of the series.3. I like fast travel more so than the silt strider service, and the silt striders would let you fast travel to new locations without having visited them first, which actually makes it easier to explore new areas without actually having to fight your way over there.2. I'm not sure how to fix the UI.1. I feel like the environments for each game has always been consistent with the plot and inhabitants. Morrowind was home of the dark elves, Oblivion home of the Imperials, and Skyrim home of the Nords.I <3 houses so that aspect of O/S > M.I hated the fact that you could sink your battleship when it comes to the main game at the drop of a hat in Morrowind by being too aggressive in your exploration. The fact that they fixed that is crucial.[Edited on January 16, 2012 at 1:57 PM. Reason : ]

Re #4: It's been forever since I've played Oblivion and even longer since I've played Morrowind so they very well may have been just as limited in variety. That said, the creature variety in Skyrim is fairly limited. 90% of the enemies are either humans or Draugr.
1/16/2012 2:12:07 PM
i never played Morrowind or Oblivion, but some of those complaints are dumb..."I don't like how you can fast travel in Skyrim"...then don't
1/16/2012 3:05:24 PM
i'd hate this game without fast travel
1/16/2012 3:29:58 PM
fast travel makes this game much more bearable. if i had to travel to every location in real time i would go crazy. and for those that hate it, then don't use it..simple enough.
1/16/2012 3:44:40 PM
I played Morrowind a lot and am glad the fast travel is in this game. More often than not you end up using the Mage's Guild teleports, or Recalling back to your base at the end of a dungeon. It might be an 'issue' if you could fast travel out of danger or from inside of a dungeon...but you can't, so there's no part of it I don't like. Sure, it starts to beat the immersion late game when I'm just teleporting to whatever place I have a quest at, but I'm not going to run across the whole world every time I need to go steal a candlestick from some random old lady's house. The bigger issues I'd say are the Guilds, Ace of all trades, and maybe the creature variety. I don't really remember Morrowind's creatures being all that special overall. Skyrim makes up for lack of different creature models with several different classes of each, where they all fight differently. The great prevalence of Draugr gets a little annoying, but even those all have their own classes and tactics. If anything, there were a bunch of different Daedra, but I'm not complaining about the lack of Scamps, alligator-things, and Nightwings.

Thinking about the lack of skill attributes in this game makes me want to run through Fallout 3 again.
