ok so i last posted a picture 10 days ago so i guess i'll post anotheri feel like, well obviously its only been 10 days of watching my calories (trying to stay around 1350 every day) and actually exercising hardcore (for me haha - not compared to others), that maybe my rolls are looking less rolly? or maybe its just in my mind. i mean i don't know when i'll start seeing actual results but hopefully soon. anyway i figured i'd post a pic since its been over a week. def have not seen results on the scale. but its not about weight its about how i look so i realize the # isn't the goal here. i'm not posting a weight cause mine honestly fluctuates so much i don't know how much i fucking weigh. i know i posted 135 but after my run i weighed 139.6 but it was with my dad's scale instead of mine so i dunno - ours could be off. like maybe 139 on his = 135 on mine? i don't know. did NOT like it though.ok so here i am on 6/10:and here i am ton ~10 days later (not exactly shocking that nothing has changed - but hopefully soon! tried to take in the same position):[Edited on June 21, 2010 at 12:20 AM. Reason : boooo top of a page SUCKS haha. should have paid attention to that lol.][Edited on June 21, 2010 at 12:24 AM. Reason : .]

thanks and yea a shitload of water so it was probably from thati can't poop in the morning. some days i don't even poop at all. i've tried to be regular (this is so gross and TMI i know) but even with my diet changes and eating more fiber and protein and being more balanced (nutrition wise) i still am soooo irregular. but i can pee. and i guess pee weighs something. but yea i get what you are saying and i think you are right.

So here we are one month later. I don't see too many changes visually (and admittedly I was pretty slack on the weights for about 14 days because I strained my shoulder, and given my history of shoulder issues I backed off), however I am about 4 pounds lighter than in the initial pictures.
6/21/2010 1:04:44 AM
GOOD JOB you seem like you started out in pretty good shape anyway. like your first picture looks great, too. but good job for keeping up the hard work!
6/21/2010 1:19:34 AM
I just want to get back under 200 lbs. pretty soon here. I was really worthless for the better part of 2 weeks because I hurt my shoulder (the good one this time, not the surgically repaired one). I also haven't been running like I should. Anyway, shoulder is better, got back on the bike again today, and diet has been better this week. Oh, and thanks, khcadwal. PS - It looks like your midsection is definitely trimmer.[Edited on June 21, 2010 at 1:33 AM. Reason : asdf]

Good job, everyone Keep at it and you'll definitely see results soon. You have to remember that you didn't get to where you are overnight and you won't get to where you want to be overnight. Definitely don't worry about what the scale says so much as how your clothes fit
6/21/2010 6:22:38 AM
weighed in at 168.4 this morning... hope I can get low enough that I stay in the 160s throughout the day's fluctuations
6/21/2010 8:00:32 AM
today I got my cafe au lait at Cup-a-Joe and was good.. I didn't get a day-old muffin. Instead, I'm having yogurt on top of a whole wheat english muffin, topped with blueberries, blackberries, and peaches.. yummyyyyoh and if any of you Raleigh ladies want to join me at hot yoga tonight, I'm going to the 7:30 class
6/21/2010 8:32:29 AM
^ if i was in raleigh, i'd totally be down for that. my legs could use some hot yoga
6/21/2010 8:46:54 AM
I was planning on doing some cardio like the arch trainer but my lower back/leg muscles are killing me from squats yesterday... so I need something to loosen me up and still burn the cals
6/21/2010 8:49:02 AM
have you entered hot yoga into myplate (or do you use that) i haven't gone since i started using it... curious how many calories that burns.nevermind, they don't have it in their system ]
6/21/2010 9:05:32 AM
putting in yoga, looks like 503/hr is about right, so 90 min would be 755 calories
6/21/2010 9:20:37 AM
I actually lost a pound this week, even though I swear I look fatter in the mirror. Still got a long way to go and not much time to do it. Will post pictures of my flabby torso when I get home tonight. And of course today is the day someone brings in sausage biscuits. I can smell them right now [Edited on June 21, 2010 at 9:41 AM. Reason : sausage]
6/21/2010 9:27:06 AM
im down another 1.2 lbs for a total of 7.2 since the beginning of the month.

http://www.everydayhealth.com/Calories-Burned-Yoga.htmPut in weight, select Bikram Yoga from pull-down menu, then select minutes in pull-down menu and put 90...I burn 1,089 per session... that website that I posted is different than the original one I found but it tells me the same amount of calories so I'd imagine it's legit.
6/21/2010 9:39:14 AM
I don't think hot yoga burns much more than regular yoga.
6/21/2010 9:40:16 AM
oh okay.... well i guess it's not as beneficial in that sense as i thought....still enjoyable though
6/21/2010 9:46:32 AM
I don't know how much I agree with that article, because like one of the comments said, a lot of yoga isn't "sitting still"...
6/21/2010 9:46:46 AM
still doing p90x. i did the yoga yesterday and holy hell that was tough! i'm definitely not nearly as flexible as i was when i was younger. i can definitely feel the soreness today.
6/21/2010 9:50:02 AM
^^ I don't meant that yoga isn't a decent calorie burn, just that bikram isn't way more calories than regular yoga, even though it feels like it should be because you're sweating so much.
6/21/2010 9:52:13 AM
kadwhack, i can see a difference! did you take your measurements? the changes are very subtle but also encouraging, if you havent taken them yet, i recommend it!
6/21/2010 10:20:58 AM
<1500 calories just seems so low to me. If I cut that low, i start to get super hungry and then eat something i regret later.
6/21/2010 10:50:34 AM
i'm at 1300 a day
6/21/2010 10:55:50 AM
That would make me sad. I'm at 2071 and it's tough to keep it under there.
6/21/2010 11:01:01 AM
Shouldn't your caloric intake depend on your body weight? At what point are you eating too few calories?
6/21/2010 11:03:22 AM
i plugged in my weight, height and how much i wanted to lose in myplate - and that's what it gave me.
6/21/2010 11:05:02 AM
do you find it hard to reach eat that many on work out days, after subtracting calories burned from work outs?
6/21/2010 11:10:20 AM
oh i've been just sticking to the 1300 calories... no matter what i burnam i not supposed to be doing it that way?
6/21/2010 11:11:04 AM
no, 1300 is what you should finish the day atif you don't work out, 1300 is all you getif you work out, say burn 1000 on a bike ride, you can eat 2300 for that day
6/21/2010 11:12:56 AM
ohokay, i'll start trying to do it that wayty
6/21/2010 11:14:40 AM
