What an epic fail save I'll take the goal but Jesus a middle school kid could have made that save

In Brazil that gets you a bullet to the head.
6/12/2010 3:12:59 PM

lolz Beckham's face
6/12/2010 3:14:42 PM
^^they were highly outnumbered, i just figured the two options were take a wild shot, or just give up possession...i'd rather take a wild shot
6/12/2010 3:16:04 PM
Well shit, maybe Howard should shoot from goal kicks from now on.
6/12/2010 3:16:10 PM
A bad shot is better than no shot.
6/12/2010 3:17:22 PM
here's the thing with that. if our mids were hustling, pulling the ball up like he did and not shooting allows us to get our numbers up and try and set up a good play while we have possession. However, the rest of the team was slacking ass and he just got stripped trying to hold on to the ball. But I am definitely in favor of us taking more shots, especially against a suspect keeper like Green.[Edited on June 12, 2010 at 3:20 PM. 6/12/2010 3:19:29 PM
well...even if we lose...i'll be glad i watched just to see how bad england's keeper failed on our goal hahaha
6/12/2010 3:20:10 PM
Given that their goalie is shaken I'd make him defend anything you can throw at him.
6/12/2010 3:20:12 PM
Time to rewind the Univision feed and listen to the goal calls.
6/12/2010 3:21:36 PM
6/12/2010 3:22:45 PM
^^^ oh definitely, I'm the one that defended some of our long shots early on because I knew their keeper was weak. I was just pointing out why you'll see that happen a lot in games this WC when the attackers are vastly outnumbered. But yea, look what I said just 60s before we scored,
6/12/2010 3:23:16 PM
everyone is blaming the keeper, i dont think its him, it more the field, its super slippery if you watch how the ball bounces
6/12/2010 3:26:55 PM
as one fo the "32 best goalkeepers in the entire planet"you should beable to make that stop on a sheet of ice with no hands blind folded.there's no excuse.
6/12/2010 3:29:00 PM
England is not used to rainy weather
6/12/2010 3:30:26 PM
6/12/2010 3:30:29 PM
^^^^ it's the keeper. If that ball was on ice and the keepers hands were frostbitten, 99% of world cup goalies would make that save. I feel a little (little) bad for him. He was screened, didn't see the ball off the foot (you can tell by the angle from the goal) and it skidded off the field. But like I said, it has to be made.[Edited on June 12, 2010 at 3:31 PM. Reason : .]
6/12/2010 3:31:12 PM
yea you're probably right on the screened view. I need to see another replay of the goal.
6/12/2010 3:33:39 PM
At first I was like GOOOOOAAALLL!!! Then I was like HAHAHAHAHA what a noob!!!
6/12/2010 3:34:26 PM
besides the lucky goal, i'm really impressed with how well our team is passing and moving on and off the ball. england are really missing a good defensive midfield right now, because bradley, dempsey and donovan have all day to pass the ball around inside their half. if our defense gets better, we should do well.
6/12/2010 3:34:44 PM
I was lollin' at the UK keeper
6/12/2010 3:35:11 PM
yea we are looking better up top than I thought we would. We definitely need to keep it up and finish some legit goals though if our defense doesn't improve.
6/12/2010 3:35:59 PM
Dear Robert Green,You should be ashamed at letting in a weak goal like that!Signed,

SHIT DEMPSEY IS DOWN
6/12/2010 3:39:07 PM
I don't give a fuck
6/12/2010 3:39:22 PM
I've still got faith that England will put another one in, and the US really hasn't had much going offensively, so GO, ENGLAND!Gerrard has had some good touches on both sides of the ball, although most of his good defensive plays were early in the half and he's been less busy ever since. But if he picks up again and Rooney can start getting involved, they'll get another goal at some point with the pressure they've been keeping up.
6/12/2010 3:39:34 PM
dude this si soccer. dempsey is down until he realizes the refs dont give a shit.
6/12/2010 3:39:37 PM
Its weird how the US is shown as "VS" in the sports ticker for the game over here
6/12/2010 3:40:15 PM
Nice save...
6/12/2010 3:40:56 PM
YES! nice save
6/12/2010 3:41:17 PM
What a terrible strike... "here you go, Tim, have a ball, mate!"
6/12/2010 3:41:36 PM
Yeah, agree, bad strike.GO USA!
6/12/2010 3:42:36 PM

6/12/2010 3:49:06 PM
ow that looks painful
6/12/2010 3:49:07 PM
get this on goal, test green again
6/12/2010 3:50:20 PM
Yeah, Carragher's tackle would have been a red card if the same ref from the France match yesterday was calling the game.

6/12/2010 3:56:08 PM

IF WAYNE ROONEY WAS PETER CROUCH... GOAAAAAAAAALLL
6/12/2010 4:01:18 PM
^^yea.some people might disagree, but i feel like the US has looked as good or better than England this second half. Defense is definitely suspect still but I feel our midfield play is better than theirs and both teams are seeing chances up top.[Edited on June 12, 2010 at 4:02 PM. Reason : ]
