I find the most encouraging thing by far to be "O'Brien opened his session with the media by saying he expects the team to be a 'much more competitive football team'".Previous two years he pretty much said we weren't very good.

64k views and we are still over a month away. i think the one i made for the VT game though was well over 100k and even had a couple of VT people make accounts just so they could talk football.
7/28/2009 8:40:45 PM
man, that VT game changed my life. that is no exaggeration.
7/28/2009 8:41:47 PM
^argh? how is that...thats the game we lost by a few points after commmitting ridiculous unsportsmanlike conduct penalties back to back to back to back....oh and Vick roamed Carter Finley in a white mink coat that ESPN went nuts over.also, interesting read:

^i remember feeling so optimistic after the VT game. trestman seemed so much better than mazzone, jay davis didn't look lost, and our d looked strong. sigh.
7/29/2009 10:43:32 AM
I wasn't at that game for some reason. I remember watching it on ESPN and getting so pissed off about the constant Mike Vick coverage. I was frustrated beyond words. Tough loss.
7/29/2009 11:08:04 AM
^i heard it was pretty bad. i didn't even know he was at the game until halftime.
7/29/2009 11:20:40 AM
thinking back about that VT game..........if only Dajuan morgan had followed his blocks on that fake punt

7/29/2009 2:22:40 PM
Oh. I thought we were talking about 2004.carry on, then.
7/29/2009 2:24:26 PM
sorry for not clarifying. i was talking about the 2005 game. (which i believe simonn was also referring to)
7/29/2009 2:29:02 PM
the 2004 game @ VT was my 2nd weekend in college (Richmond game with the shootings was my first) and we drove to VT for it and beat them. it was an insane moment in my life and i'll never forget the missed field goal because i was standing in the isle of the wolfpack section under the left upright without an angle to see if it went in or not.i thought we had lost and i buried my head, then all the sudden we were celebrating. it was like a rewind button had been pushed and we chose a different ending. then TA jumped in my arms in the endzone. awesomeness.
7/29/2009 2:32:10 PM
Ha richmond game was my first game there as wellI remember hearing the rumor about the shooting when we were in the stadium and dismissing it as bullshitThen you kept hearing it as the game progressed and it was like whoa

Wait, I was at our last game in Blacksburg where we won due to the VT kicker's field goal sailing wide left, I cant remember that year...what game are ya'll talking about?? Dont we hold the record as the only ACC team since VT has joined the ACC to have beat the Hokies in their own stadium...?? I thought I heard that fact on on some random sports talk show?? Can anyone clarify this for me?
7/30/2009 1:22:20 AM
^^ doesnt an pop up over the video with the song name?
7/30/2009 1:23:11 AM
^^ i was talking about the game in '05 where we lost to vt at home.and we were the first acc team to beat virginia tech in blacksburg after they joined the acc (2 acc games into their first season), but we're not the only ones.we were also the first acc team to beat florida state in tallahassee.]

^^^ and ^^^^, that picture was also taken around a year ago after he had been out for a while with a knee injury. I'm sure hes bulked up a bit since then. The position he plays though, you don't need to be big. I mean hell, Robbie Leonard played that position last year at like 205, haha.
7/30/2009 4:31:34 PM
Not taking anything away from Leonard (he did a hell of a job for us last year) but, I'm really looking forward to getting some more athleticism at that position. Oh, and BTW I didn't realize Audie Cole was friggin 6'5"...[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 4:45 PM. Reason : spell]

let's make it 34 on 34!do we not sell individual tickets? i guess since im planning on going to most of them i should just buy a mini plan or something, but i dunno if i have that much money all at once
7/30/2009 4:52:51 PM
one mini plan has sold out...now the only one left has the USC and Clempson gamenot sure about individual tickets (cant remember) but they used to for OC games like they do for basketball.

^i know hes athletic as all fuck, i just hope hes a really good linebacker. Hell, i hope any of those rs-freshman/sophomore linebackers step up this year. Beasley, Manning, Lucas(who i hear is a STUD), and Maddox need to bring the pain this year with Nate out.
7/30/2009 8:10:48 PM
Happy Paul Horst Day!Fellow Terry Sanford alumni FTW!
7/30/2009 8:28:50 PM
Manning will be good. I mean when was the last time you heard about a guy racking up over 200 tackles in a season coming out of high school?
7/30/2009 8:55:19 PM
McLendon will be good. I mean when was the last time you heard about a guy racking up over 170 rushing touchdowns in a career coming out of high school?
7/30/2009 9:02:11 PM
McLendon was a beast his freshman year..after that not so much
7/30/2009 9:42:06 PM
^^ ??he was good
7/30/2009 9:47:18 PM
T.A. was pretty damn good. If not for injuries he could have easily been one of the best RBs in State history. He's in like the Top 10 in career rushing yards in school history iirc.
7/30/2009 10:33:10 PM
TA was greatFor a yearThen he was an injury-prone fumble machineManny Lawson was a two star linebacker coming out of high schoolHigh school performance and ratings mean nothing
7/30/2009 10:58:58 PM
if only TA hadn't been deathly afraid of the weight room
