eyebrows - i asked her about it and she said she doesn't do bleaching near the eyes. idk if i might try doing them myself or not with some facial bleach. so far it doesn't bother me that much. but i have thin eyebrows

AND IT'S NOT SHENANIGANS. i had to bleach it three times AND do a color lightning process thing on it to cancel out the orange hues.

Brandy at Atomic Salon is just really fantastic at her job yo

You will not get the desired effects if you attempt to bleach your eyebrows. I would leave your eyebrows alone. You'll end up with some pretty unpleasant results because all it's going to do is strip out color without leaving any type of pigment behind, so you're not really going to get anything resembling natural. And don't put hair color on your eyebrows. I've done it. It's not cool.

actually this place was cheaper than my old place

for 3 bleaches, 1 color, a cut and some moraccan oil stuff she told me i need total was $195 + tip

Last time i did my hair at my old place (red with the high lights all over) it was like $280

so yea

Dress dyeing attempt failed. Used 4 bottles of dye, had the water super hot, stirred for 35 minutes. Nearly alll of the dye washed out. I could probably try it again, but no time before the wedding this weekend that I was going to wear it to. Oh well! Wasn't a total loss bc I wasn't going to wear the dress again as it was.

That boot needs to make a decision on spring or fall time colors. Its like an ominous spring tone. Amusing the burgundy is actually darker in purpose, that and the black one wouldn't be so bad- if you wanted boots you could only wear 1 month a year (you live in texas right?)

I'm digging on the Midas touch in pewter. (heels & wedges section). Love the Kelly green too (looks turquoise though, which I like) no on the boots. I feel like the pewter would match more stuff. I only have one pair of wedges (the Seychelles I previously posted)

Cute shoes! I love the Midas Touch in vacchetta. Pewter is great for dressier occasions. I feel like the other colors would be easier to dress down with skinny jeans and a cute top.

Get both!

Also, holy moly, DDK's hair looks awesome!

Aww fuck, DDK, you have my ideal hair now!

Too bad my stylist is like "noooooooo" over attempting to bleach my hair because it's naturally near black and she doesn't think it'll happen for me.

Is $40ish really the going rate for hemming a formal dress? I had one hemmed in the fall that had a regular skirt with a chiffon accent piece that I figured might have made it cost a little more. That one was $40. I went to a different place today that had reviews as being reasonably priced, and they said it's $35 for hemming a single-layer formal dress. It's just a David's Bridal polyester whatever blend bridesmaid dress, nothing fancy. That seems pretty damn high to me. But maybe I am cheap.

For just a hem, I've had as cheap as $20 and as expensive as $75 (David's bridal). I don't know that you'll find less than $20 though. But a hem should not be *that* expensive.

I was expecting about $20, which I think is reasonable. Maybe $25. But for a single-layer hem anything more than that is a little nuts, imo.

Maybe one of the ladies in the sewing thread will do it? Hemming is about the easiest task in sewing

Well that would really only be relevant for my next dress, because I already dropped it off. But on that note, my bf's grandmother gave me a sewing machine so I am going to try to make a T-shirt dress that I've wanted to make for a while. Sewing scares me for some reason.

The Midas touch in pewter (Wedges) are out of stock in my size

Also considering (in the sandals section):

Crying out loud in gold

Stick to your guns in vacchetta (I guess? They don't list the color shown in the pic. It should be noted that these are the flat version of the wedges I already own...)

Or by the book in orange

Thoughts? I really want the wedges but worry that they are out of my size, Mayhaps I could just wait to see if they get more in stock?
