Jill's Beach has excellent spray tans (to answer the question on the last page). I have tried spray tans all over Raleigh and they are by far my fave. I have one scheduled for Friday actually. lol Also, you don't get that terrible smell or dots all over right after you do it (like you do at some places). So you can actually go out afterward and not look ridiculous.

How much are their spray tans? I was thinking about getting one for samwise's wedding

LadiesSo I just signed up for today's living social deal...20 sessions of hot yoga at Arrichon in RaleighWanna do it with me? Here's the link https://www.livingsocial.com/deals/329340?ref=conf-jp&rpi=61091912
5/14/2012 11:00:30 AM
They range. I actually had bought a groupon or something for these but I think it's like $20 or $25 for one? They are cheaper if you buy a package.
5/14/2012 11:02:03 AM
thanks! there's actually a Jill's Beach right down the street from my house that i was going to pop into and talk to them about setting up a spray appointment.
5/14/2012 12:40:09 PM
Damn I wish my doctor would let me do hot yoga. That's a really good deal
5/14/2012 12:44:10 PM
Why can't you do bikram yoga?I'm Krallum and I approved this message.
5/14/2012 12:44:57 PM

I want a new dress, but I'm running into some problems... ideal dress: one shoulder (with a flow-y sleeve), not fitted/skin tight, a few inches about the knee, $150 or lessdresses on the market: make me feel like a stuffed sausage, so short that my butt cheeks hang out, or waaaaaay out of my price rangeI've been to every store in triangle town and southpoint. I can't order clothes online because they rarely fit right (and I need it for this saturday). HALP.
5/14/2012 3:11:55 PM
We should go shopping together bitch We have the same issues
5/14/2012 3:13:08 PM
I like the one I got from H&M, but it has two sleeves. Was only $25, so that's a big plus. Does need a slip under it, but for $25 I can deal with that.

http://www.suntancity.com/first-sunless-tan-free I think I'm going to try out the Versa tan for free. Hopefully I can get out of there without getting forced to sign up for anything. Also, has anyone been to Justine at Salon 21? I have an appointment with her on Wed and I'm scared of new hair people!
5/14/2012 11:18:28 PM
i used to go to Salon 21 downtown but my stylist left to open a salon with another girl a few years ago so i migrated with them.you can't go wrong with anyone at salon 21 but if you don't care for your stylist, shoot me a PM and i can give you my girl's contact information. she worked at salon 21 for a few years before she left.

Im interested in the hot yoga. Does anyone know anything about health effects? Like is there any group of people that shouldnt do it?
5/15/2012 9:57:03 AM
i know pregnant women aren't supposed to but i bet you can google online and find out.
5/15/2012 10:00:19 AM
Begonias, did you go to Vestique?
5/15/2012 10:11:51 AM
People with asthma aren't supposed to do it and people with a history of heat stroke, but that last one should sort of be a duh recommendation
5/15/2012 10:11:56 AM
Hmm, I havent had an asthma attack since I got my new allergy meds, and it is supposed to be good for my other issue, maybe I will try it. I will think it over and maybe get it after work.
5/15/2012 10:13:26 AM
Linda, you should also check out Nordstrom Rack in South Point, Fabrik in Cameron Village, and Belk at Crabtree if you have not been there yet
5/15/2012 10:44:45 AM
best ever nailpolish remover? I've got like 3 coats with glitter and god knows what else, and 2 old bottles i've got barely touched it. sigh
5/15/2012 10:59:00 AM
It needs acetone, and you can soak a cotton ball in it, set it on top of the nail, then wrap it in foil and let it soak.
5/15/2012 11:01:34 AM
Someone gave me this stuff called "the stripper" awhile back that I swear is the only nail polish remover that works without you either having to take sandpaper to your nails or ending up with your fingers the same color as the nail polish.
5/15/2012 11:02:21 AM
you just gotta know how to take off fingernail polish...what elise said is goodfor non glitter just hold the cotton ball on your nail for a sec to let some of the remover soak thru then wipe...it's a lot easier that way
5/15/2012 11:19:25 AM
I wear a lot of glitter, acetone is key. I keep non acetone for non glitter days.
5/15/2012 11:21:14 AM
main issue is that these bottles are like 5 years old, i think most of the acetone is gone. I used to have an awesome remover that worked great on glitter, it looked like a lava lamp

Anyone have experience dyeing polyester & polyester/cotton blend? Some of the how tos i'm reading make it sound less easy than making a tye dye shirt. Or know of any triangle places that might? (thinking of the same places that would dye shoes) I have a bridesmaid dress that I'd like to dye black. My laundromat and tailor does not...but there's gotta be someone that does, right?
5/15/2012 12:13:31 PM
I want to say that on younghouselove.com she has a tutorial on dying polyester.
5/15/2012 12:16:18 PM
Found it! Thanks The only thing i worry is my existing dress, while a lighter color, is not white or off white. But the same time I'm never wearing it again otherwise, so it won't be a true loss if it doesn't work out when I dye it.
5/15/2012 12:23:32 PM
I've had success with polyester and nylon with the RIT dyes - making a part of a costume (the body leotard instead of painting my skin blue, haha), as well as dyeing seatbelts. For the costume, I used a combination of dyes (dyeing it once one color, then adding a bit more from another color) which was fun if you don't get the exact color you want, or are aiming for something a little different than the package. Both times I did mine in a huge stock pot (that was on top of the oven). You can control the heat better on the stove, and get higher heat for a longer period of time (for the case of the seatbelts, this was really required - they were a dark green, and my brother wanted them black - they were already so saturated with color from the original dyeing, it was hard to get that blackest black). If the object you are looking at dyeing is white, you won't need that high of heat. It's really not that hard. The directions on the package are pretty spot on.

On oberlin rd by Hungry Howies...closer to Glenwood than to Cameron Village if that make sense
5/15/2012 1:20:27 PM
3^ awesome! Good to hear. Maybe some of the instructions I were read online were crap (not the one wolfpackgrr posted, but some I had found previously) as a few mentioned toxic fumes etc I'm gonna do this soon as I have a wedding I want to wear it to first week of June. I'll post pics if it turns out well
5/15/2012 1:25:55 PM
Someone should let me borrow their sewing machine
5/15/2012 1:31:41 PM
^ I might be selling mine for cheap cheap in the next week or two. But it'll need to be shipped from jersey
5/15/2012 1:56:59 PM
well dang
5/15/2012 2:01:25 PM
my moms has got like 6 sewing machines and i don't think she uses them however i doubt she will sell/give away any. I will inquire tonightI'm Krallum and I approved this message.

Sometimes felt squares work even better with chunky glitter, since felt doesn't fall apart like cotton balls.

Dress purchased for this weekend's festivities
5/15/2012 7:39:14 PM
I honestly have no clue what I'm wearing I ended up wearing the dress I planned on to pussyshoes wedding lol
5/15/2012 7:40:41 PM
I think that it should be mandatory that a woman spends at least 2 hours in a salon every six months. I spent 4 hours today and it was awesome. I could fall asleep in the hairdresser's chair and I love the girlie gossip.
5/15/2012 7:49:54 PM
I hate it takes too much time
5/15/2012 7:50:59 PM
I wish I could get a haircut/style/color, mani/pedi, and massage every other monthIn other news, I bought the hot yoga living social deal! woo!
5/15/2012 8:33:33 PM
I can barely sit still long enough for a haircut every 6 weeks, so I'm pretty sure I couldn't do a whole spa day.
5/15/2012 9:00:19 PM
5/15/2012 9:03:00 PM
I like spa days: if I'm getting a massage or something, they're generally not chattybut I also dislike the chattiness of the salonI came here for you to cut my hair, not ask me intimate details about myself
