the shellac isn't really that good for your nailsespecially when it's time to take it off (acetone and whatnot)[Edited on May 10, 2012 at 1:16 PM. Reason : 343]

I love shellac! My nails are healthier and stronger than ever since I started having it done.I've had both good and bad experiences with how long it lasts... the dryer your manicure is, the longer the shellac will last. My current manicurist does a completely dry manicure and then after the shellac is set, she re-hydrates my nails with oils and does the whole hand/arm massage.

So these seychelles just arrived, and I love them by themselves, but what do I wear them with? I was thinking any of my full length skirts or dresses, but what about shorter ones?
5/10/2012 2:00:33 PM
I definitely think shorter skirts (not minis) would be fine with those. Also, jeans. But I defer to Diva
5/10/2012 2:04:44 PM
hahaha So if you're going to wear this with a skirt or dress, you do want it to be shorter.those heels cut your legs off starting at the ankle, so anything longer will make you look short and chunky. The more leg you show, the more elongating it will be.Also stick to something with a little flowyness to it if you're thicker in the leg/hip area. It will balance out the "harshness" of the straps. Like a yin and yang type thing if that makes sense. Now if you like that edgy look, you can play with the strappyness and go rockstar with it. If you wanna rock some pants, those would look awesome with some skinnies and a flowly racerback tank or even a fun loose button-up oxford tucked in & a cute belt.Basically you want to continue the line of the leg all the way into the shoe with no other distractions. Either with your bare legs or with pants if that makes sense.

Awesome! I have some dark blue skinnies I will try with them this weekend. I also have a boatneck navy blue dress that's about as short as the ones you posted that I might try with them. fun fun fun! Thanks for being our resident fashion guru Diva

I got a shellac manicure and I didn't like it. It started to chip after a few days (I know I live a really extreme and entertaining life, but come on) and looked awful after one week.also
5/10/2012 5:00:08 PM
I got this dress at H&M. I'm so glad I finally found a store with stuff that fits me.http://www.hm.com/us/product/99510?article=99510-C#article=99510-CAlso, considering this haircut. Thoughts?[Edited on May 11, 2012 at 10:05 AM. Reason : ...]

I love shellac! I go to this awesome lady off Glenwood and it literally lasts 3-4 weeks. I get it done every 3-4 weeks on the reg now and my nails are fine. They may be a bit more weak but only slightly. You have to be careful who you to go though because if they use too much acetone, then it can cause damage. I've been having it done since December. Another appt on Monday.
5/11/2012 10:22:33 AM
I change my nail color too much for this 3-4 week crap
5/11/2012 10:29:52 AM
^thisWhat is a good makeup for covering stuff up? Or, what kind of tan in a can stuff works decently? Just trying to match skin color on a few spots that have lost color.
5/11/2012 10:49:50 AM
I'm retarded at painting my own nails. Also the way my nails grow & how long they can get, they look fake & cheesy if I get too crazy with the nail colorsPlus, given my workplace, I can't exactly rock sparkly or neon polish I'm a boring ass French manicure all the time kinda girl, or if we are getting crazy, a classic red or pink.. Blah
5/11/2012 11:25:00 AM
I only do clear polish on my nails. As ^ said, I cannot paint my own nails. It looks like someone murdered the tips of my fingers. I can *sometimes* manage my toenails well enough. Manicures also never last more than a day or two on me. So, I keep my nails clean, trimmed, and clear. Sucks, but it's what looks best. Now, I love colorful toenails.

Don't mind my imaginary engagement ringI'm rocking this color today....but will probably go tangerine tomorrow[Edited on May 11, 2012 at 11:28 AM. Reason : my toes are a pinky orange color...I never match, but they always coordinate]
5/11/2012 11:28:22 AM
I have the same ring! Mine is white gold w a citrine stone but exact same styleI wear it on my right hand but I LOVE it, wear it everyday![Edited on May 11, 2012 at 11:40 AM. Reason : Dbghdnd]
5/11/2012 11:40:28 AM
hehe I'm with you wolfy... I have to keep it to pink and red and I am terrible at painting my fingernails too. So to not have to think about it for 3 or 4 weeks rocks.

ya'll, i found some really cute shoes in austin!they're seychelles, i love them!! i love how they are kind of low profile. i have struggled with wedges or espadrilles i feel comfortable wearing without feeling like a hooker. i dont think other people look like a hooker in them but it just doesn't go with how i dressso anyway, i LOVE these shoes! so comfortable & versatile. i'm wearing them now with white eyelet shorts & a purple banana tshirt.while looking for the image i noticed nordstroms & zappos also has them btw
5/11/2012 12:37:42 PM
I'm a big fan of seychelles or however you spell itthey're always comfy but way stylish with a little knod to the pastthose are cute
5/11/2012 12:42:31 PM
yay they got divababy approval i really like them & feel like they fit my style well.. which could be defined as conservative with a little personalityunless we are talking tortilla dress & in that case.. i wish i had a bomber jacket to wear over it tortilla:its as short as it looks

5/11/2012 1:00:22 PM
I need some seriously cute summer sandals. Any suggestions for online sites to check out? I'm shedding my surfer flippity flops and never looking back at my days of Rainbows. I'm almost 30 for chrissake. I want simple, easy to slip on, daily drivers.Ideas PUHLEAAASE.Thanks. Oh, P.S- Less than $100. I'm thinking $50-85 bucks. Thanks.

I FEEL LIKE CHOPPING ALL MY HAIR OFF AGAINI like this a lotyay or nay?lol I will never have the patience for lovely long flowing hair. oh well
5/13/2012 11:15:36 AM
No
5/13/2012 11:28:36 AM
I like the idea of going shorter. But I've seen much cuter cuts than that, that would look fantastic on you.
5/13/2012 11:30:26 AM
this cut is getting completely mixed reviews may I ask what cuts you think would look better?
5/13/2012 11:31:47 AM
nayI'm Krallum and I approved this message.[Edited on May 13, 2012 at 11:32 AM. Reason : That look is so 17 year old emo band look]
5/13/2012 11:32:07 AM
haha yea ...... you right
5/13/2012 11:35:41 AM
but i mean i don't have hair so i'm sure theres probably something you could do to make it not look like that.I'm Krallum and I approved this message.[Edited on May 13, 2012 at 11:39 AM. Reason : some womanly hair magic shit.]
5/13/2012 11:38:05 AM
Now that you've asked, I can't seem to find many I like online! I always have that issue. I'm dying to go short again too, but I've just gotten it to shoulder length! I think these could work:No idea how long your hair is now:
5/13/2012 11:44:02 AM
all of those are infinitely better. could just be the fact that that girl looks like pretty androgynous I'm Krallum and I approved this message./]
5/13/2012 11:45:59 AM
Oh, and I saved this one a while ago on my desktop, but can't find it online anymore. I am debating this cut for myself:

5/13/2012 12:04:07 PM
how long is said hair now? and how is the texture of said hair? Is it baby fine or just normal?
5/13/2012 12:20:24 PM
This kind of looks similar to what you posted, ddk. However, it doesn't look so 17-year old rocker chick to me
5/13/2012 12:29:39 PM
I like that one too.
5/13/2012 12:32:15 PM
kate wants to look 17 and emo. because in her heart she still is.
5/13/2012 12:49:13 PM
when did i get so ooooold
5/13/2012 12:55:19 PM
Well she'll have to get braces if she really wants to pull off the look. Depends on how dedicated she is, I guess.
5/13/2012 12:55:32 PM
I use to wear my hair like the original haircut ddk posted. I loved it and really miss it, but it is totally 17 year old emo rocker chick. I haven't worn my hair like that since like the grand old age of 23.
5/13/2012 12:58:28 PM
any favorite places to get spray tans around here? i'm going to Miami Thursday and don't want to blind people!
5/13/2012 4:42:19 PM
^ yes! I am also in need of a good spray tan place. Goal is to do a total run later this week before to see how it turns out before my bridal portraits and wedding
5/13/2012 7:20:29 PM
planet beach does a pretty ok mystic tan. It always scares the crap out of me when it starts though
5/13/2012 7:45:48 PM
Kate, get a pixie undercut. It's the more modern version of the punk emo teenage girl look. Not just saying that 'cause I rock a (shorter) version.
5/13/2012 8:49:07 PM
i have never been spray tanned before. i am pretty fair so i don't want anything too extreme (not wanting to look like a cast member from the jersey shore ) but i would like a little bit of color.
5/13/2012 8:49:38 PM
Made an infinity dress for myself today. I see it getting a lot of use, and it was easy to make.
