in Black Ops sometimes we'd join a free for all match at the same time, and have a lobby full of 8 TWWers...since there weren't any outsiders, we could easily do pistols only, sniper rifles only, riot shield only, etc matches, that actually helped you level up, since it was a FFA instead of a private match

Some of us will play the occasional fun private match (Juggernaut is fun as shit), but then others whine and cry... complaining that it won't help them get to their next prestige or that they can't go 55-1 against other tww members.

generally if there are 6 or less people, we play TDM or Kill Confirmed, so we're all on the same team

if there are 7-9 people we'll switch to ground war

not sure about PS3, but most people you can have in an XBox Live party is 8, but Ground War is 9-on-9 so its trickier to coordinate but we just switch to game chat

the bad thing is PS3 doesn't support true party chat. so if I play in a group of 6 on TDM it's not a big deal. but if i'm with 2 or 3 guys it basically turns into us having to mute the rest each match and then talking among ourselves.

none of the tww ps3 users seem to ever have mics except dammit100 and he doesn't play very often. which is why i've kinda given up forming tww parties on ps3.

nothing worse than players who can't fix their mic or are oblivious to it. I was playing with one guy last night who was pretty decent and actually called out enemy locations but the rest of the time his mic was nothing but a static mess.


also, i need to convince myself when playing in bigger groups to just take one for the team and run support classes. We were winning every match last night, but they were a lot closer than they should have been because everyone was running mid to high assault streaks so there were very few UAVs called. I can usually convince someone to run them, but these guys last night wouldn't budge.

so I ask TWW, those who run support which streak rewards are best? usually I run UAV, SAM, Stealth.

I get pissed off more when I get tagged by a drone than when I get killed, so when I tag like 5 guys running single file, it feels pretty special to know I've just pissed off so many people within a couple seconds

that's strange - I played with him before jumping in with the warriors and I did not hear the bg noise. it could have been someone else? I do know that he's had some mic issues lately, so maybe it was him, but I doubt it.

Easiest assault killstreak for many kills:

Predator
Chopper/Air Strike
Reaper


Using Hardline Pro it is only 4 kills to the Predator, BUT if you have a Stinger as your secondary - then it is pretty easy to get 2 kills and shoot down 2 UAVS (which will give you 4 "kills" towards your streak)

A double kill with the Predator and you have your Chopper (If the enemy is "Johnny on the Spot" /Sik with air support, then use the Air Strike instead)

A couple kills from the Chopper/Air Strike and you have your Reaper. Which is always good for at least 3 kills if they are paying attention to 8 kills if they are dumb.


Once you get a nice rhythm you should be able to have 2 Reapers per match. It is tougher to get when playing with other TWWers because everyone gets so many kills generally it takes longer to find people to kill (Thanks Sik) AND the other team doesn't get much air support (and if they do you have to beat Dweedle to the stinger)

yeah, i run that exact assault class.

I haven't even attempted to change to anything higher like the AC-130 or the Pavelow, though i'm sure I can get to it but the reaper just owns so much and the attack helicopter, if the other team isn't paying attention, can really rack up too.

^^^good call. I run the same thing as well. I did the precision airstrike for awhile b/c I figured that couldn't get shot down and stood a good chance at getting me 1-2 kills. But I found myself waiting for a UAV and/or getting killed as I'm trying to call it in. So I switched to the helicopter so I can just flip the switch as soon as I earn it, then just play cautiously until it's Reaper time. If I can remember, I try to switch from the reaper on maps like Lockdown or Resistance.

Does anybody know whether or not a UAV being up helps a chopper get more kills the way it did in COD4?

not sure about that. but like you, when i run the precision airstrike it's always hit or miss where to place it unless you have someone with a UAV. i've wasted numerous of those that I don't run it very often anymore.

On maps like Lockdown or Arkaden i use my 5 kill streak on the IMS. I can usually place those in the 2nd story cross walk or back staircase respectively and knock out 4 quick kills with it.

running lower kill streaks on some of the maps like Arkaden actually help you get many more kills than wasting a helicopter or reaper and just having everyone hide inside.

I've also used the IMS and care package as bait. people try to get close to the IMS and shoot to destroy it so i can just pop up, take them out and then switch to another corner. Same with the CP (if it's something low end like UAV)

I like to save my Stealth bomber for when we've got like 72 kills

I think one time I got the final killcam with a Stealth bomber like 3 matches in a row

i always have my mic on for ps3 and i play a decent amount, but i always play domination and i always see other tdub people play FF, TD or KC so i dont bother trying to join or invite.
