They really are trying to screw over Dr. Paul it seems.

I hope they do. Then we'll get to see how protesting angry Ron Paul supporters are spun into ultra-left-wing-eco-terrorist-do-nothing-occupier-socialist-liberal-fascist-communist-neckbeard-anarcho-hippies intent on leeching off the job makers in this country.

I glanced up at the CNN ticker yesterday and it mentioned something about a Mitt Romney commemoration for Ron Paul at the convention or something, I can't wait to see that lol.

Ron Paul will receive a video tribute, and Rand is scheduled to speak.

The nomination was moved to Monday night--when there's no major network primetime coverage (CSPAN FTW)--because they're worried about Ron Paul supporters causing a scene.

Pussies.

According to what I've read, the Paul delegates asked the romney delegation for a tribute video and they happily agreed.

I just don't get it. After millions of dollars raised and so much foaming at the mouth the best they are gonna get is a short video? Surely that doesn't count as appeasement for paulites?

Ron Paul was offered the chance to speak on two conditions:

1) He had to have his remarks vetted by the Rmoney campaign and,
2) He had to fully endorse Rmoney.

He declined.

"It wouldn’t be my speech. That would undo everything I’ve done in the last 30 years. I don’t fully endorse him for president."

Pretty much every conservative I know doesn't seem to be aware of how much gov. programs have helped them.

The best is when conservatives that went to a public colleges bitch about a) tuition increases b) welfare queens.

RNC IS NOW GOING TO REMOVE LIVE COVERAGE FROM CONVENTION SO WE CANNOT SEE THE ACTUAL DELEGATES VOTING IN REAL TIME. NOW THEY CONTROL AND CAN KEEP OUT ANY VOTES FOR ANYONE BUT THE RNC CHOICE. CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR WHO WANT TO SHOVE A CRIMINAL DOWN OUR THROATS. GOD HELP US.

Actually, we do know the reason.

The only thing I don't know is why Ron Paul doesn't just leave the Republican Party and take all of his supporters with him. The fact that he's never even threatened to do this is what allows the RNC to walk all over him.

That was abysmal how they treated Ron Paul and his delegates. He's a part of your party you need.

For a right-leaning moderate such as myself who is leaning towards Obama do we think they will talk about issues (non-social) tonight and not just nut kiss themselves to family values. I literally don't care if Romney is doing lines off of W's dick if he has actual plans to tackle the economy and our problems so I sure as shit dont care if crazy Santorum thinks he's a good family man.

It actually makes sense. I'm more likely to vote for Obama than Romney, despite the fact that they are both complete sociopaths without a shred of decency or respect for human life. At least Obama has to leave in 2016. Romney could be in until 2020.

The Republican party will pay the price for shunning Ron Paul and his supporters. The GOP thought they could disrespect and ignore the libertarian wing and still have them hold their nose and vote for Romney. They are wrong, and they'll have 4 more years of Obama to remind them of that.

With all that said, I'm absolutely not voting for Obama or Romney. Protest vote for Gary Johnson.

Unless Ron Paul and his supporters will feel the wrath of his highness and majesty.

The nomination was more of a coronation.

Did you see the display of power on the outside of the convention?

That power is only needed when guarding a dictator.

Ron Paul's supporters were never going to vote for Mitt in the first place

they're the same type of idiots that voted for Ross Perot

they'll probably write in Ron Paul or vote for the third party guy that will get 1%

I don't get the Ron Paul supporters either.

They are loyal yes but its almost like they would rather see Obama in office for 4 more years something Ron Paul doesn't want to see I am pretty sure.

He lost because of his crazy isolationist ideas on National Security and lack of money. That is how you win any nomination.

Plus is supporters are people like GeniuSxBoY

^ huh?

Ron Paul supporters most likely view mitt and obama equally.

Either of them in office is a loss for their ideology.

If I tell myself that they are less married to Paul's words, than the idea of radical change towards what they view as more liberty, I have to respect them.

Another night and no real direction. I'm hoping Paul Ryan was the plate setter by saying what he thought Obama was doing wrong and Mitt comes out with real answers or at least thoughts.

And fuck off Huckabee, I don't care about the neanderthal social conservatives.

Even though I agree with some of their ideas, this is the primary reason that I cannot vote for them. They are just bad people.

Right now, you are witnessing the paving of way for an obama win.

You know, at some point, doesn't their whole campaign have to just blow up in their faces? It's based on an out of context quote ("you didn't build that") and a handful of outright lies (medicare, welfare, and the deficit). The American people aren't that stupid are they? Hell, the pile of bullshit has gotten so rank that even the media can no longer ignore it.

I have seen no evidence that Romney/Ryan are lying about Obama taking money out of Medicare. The only rebuttal I have seen is it isnt directly to individuals it is cuts to providers. ummm, how will that not affect individuals?

We lost the credit rating because of the debt, not because republicans wouldnt raise the debt ceiling. Think people. It was raised and wow, we lost our credit rating. You want to blame republicans for not raising taxes, fine. It is at least a rational arguement. However, you also have to hold obama and the dems accountable for not raising taxes when they had a supermajority.

As for him lying about the GM plant

"A lot of guys I went to high school with worked at that GM plant. Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: “I believe that if our government is there to support you … this plant will be here for another hundred years.” That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day. And that’s how it is in so many towns today, where the recovery that was promised is nowhere in sight."

Where is the lie? Apparently the plant isnt closed, it is on standby currently. AFTER the bailout. He is calling Obama out on making a BS campaign promise that didnt happen.
