More details on TMNT: The Arcade Game. Everyone knows already, just shedding some more light into the thread.

Quote :
"TMNT Officially Head to XBLA
Cowabunga! Ubisoft gives the thumbs up. First details, screens and more.
by Douglass C. Perry

March 6, 2007 - Ubisoft today gave credence to the recent rumor that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would arrive on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade by officially telling IGN it's all true. The classic, 1989 side-scrolling arcade game is coming, unfettered, to XBLA this month.

In development with Digital Eclipse (of Foundation 9 Entertainment), and originally published by Konami in the arcade, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive on XBLA via Ubisoft featuring the original seven levels, all of which are playable in two- to four-player co-op modes on Xbox Live.

The old-school tortugas, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, are back!

Starring Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo in all their 2D sprite-based glory, this coin-op port will support voice-chat capabilities, offer 200 points worth of Achievements and, best of all, will only costs 400 Microsoft Points (US$5).

"The release of the TMNT classic arcade game on Xbox LIVE Arcade is Ubisoft's homage to a world-renowned franchise that for almost 20 years has captured the hearts of gamers," said James Regan, director of new business development at Ubisoft. "Ubisoft is breathing new life into the video game franchise with the launch of our downloadable console games while remaining true to the unique core values that make the Turtles so timeless."

Voted the number one most wanted Xbox Live Arcade game by IGN's readers in 2006 (see Xbox Live Arcade: Most Wanted), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is finally coming home. But if you just can't get enough turtles and the coin-op version is leaving you starving, Ubisoft also has a brand new Prince of Persia-ified version that's due to hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP, Windows PC, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube and Wii to coincide with the upcoming CGI movie. Turtle power, baby!

^I'm in the same boat as you are. I like baseball games, but I'm kinda weary about the 2K series. I still have MVP 05 for the PS2, and I've always thought EA had the better baseball game. Either way, I guess we don't have a choice unless we cross consoles.

"Xbox Live: 6 million strong and counting
Microsoft's online gaming, video download service reaches 6 million subscribers sooner than expected.
By Tim Surette, GameSpot
Posted Mar 6, 2007 9:58 am PT

Microsoft's crystal ball is apparently a little cloudy. Last October, the company boasted that its Xbox Live service had reached 4 million subscribers, and predicted 6 million subscribers would be on board by this summer.

Well, they were off. Fortunately for Microsoft investors, they were off in a good way.

Today, the software giant announced that it has reached 6 million Xbox Live subscribers well ahead of schedule and released a list of various statistics touting its success in the gaming market.

Among the highlights:

--10 million Xbox 360s have hit stores across 37 countries
--Xbox 360 software attach rate (games sold per console) is 4.6 in the US; accessory attach rate stands at 2.9
--2.3 billion hours (260,000 years) have been logged on Xbox Live since its debut in November 2002; Halo 2 leads all games with 710 million hours
--Average Gold level XBL subscriber has 22 friends on their friends list
--more than 2 million text and voice messages are sent over Xbox Live on an average day
--almost 300 million achievements have been unlocked for a total Gamerscore of almost 7.5 billion
--XBL Arcade downloads have topped 25 million; Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting, Bankshot Billiards, Marble Blast Ultra, UNO, DOOM are the top downloaded games, in that order "

Speaking of MLB 2K7, am I the only one who inadvertently tries to bunt quite often? I think its accidentally clicking the right stick but its kind of a bitch haha

I never really liked the whole swing stick thing so I use the classic mash of the A button. I have the demo, btw. May hold off until I want to invest.

the swing stick was fine in 2k6 for me...but 2k7 has bunting as clicking the right stick which is screwy...in 2k6 clicking the right stick just drained some stamina sometimes i think

I hit a walk-off homer with Shawn Green yesterday. I really don't know how I did it, but I did. I wish it was a little easier to check swing. I would tap the A button, and I would swing all the way rather than check swing.

I had my first association game with my Kings team on NBA 2K7, and I beat the T-Wolves in double OT. I'm still learning how to play, so I can see myself losing some of these games. It's going to be one of those games where I won't get tired of playing it.

I would say Burnout...its fun as shit and its definitely more arcade than simulation

one of the first 360 games I got and still one of my favorites

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/driving/burnoutrevenge/index.html

one review basically says "its fucking awesome on the 360 but if you've played it on other consoles its not gonna have a lot of new features"

i just finished bullet witch. i stretched so it would last a few days. you can finish this game in 5-6 hours flat - maybe 4 hours if you are gaming hardcore - on normal and get 300 achievement points. the final boss battle it pretty damn good.

Gamespot gave Def Jam: Icon an 8.1. Interesting considering IGN gave it a 7. It's funny to see either that IGN is trying to get tougher with their reviews or Gamespot being a little more forgiving in theirs. I always thought the reviews at Gamespot held more weight anyway.

Another question: Why in the hell does IGN review the Austrailian and UK versions of games? It pisses me off to see three different versions of GRAW2 being reviewed. It's the same f'n game. IGN copies and paste their multi-platform game reviews anyway, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. [/rant]

Also, who got Worms yet? I probably will wait to get that, but I know everyone has got TMNT: The Arcade Game on their radar at the end of this month.

My mlb 2k7 season is going nuts right now. I posted this over at OS and 2kSports forums too...

So, i am playing a gm career with the yankees.....

I play on all-star, but messed with the settings a little bit.
My contact: 20
my power: 35

AI Contact: 40
AI Power: 55
AI Outfield Arms: 40
AI catching arms: 65

I started my franchise 25-4, playing ever game.... some highlights:
Was batting .460ish with Giambi
had 45 RBI in 29 games with A-Rod
Posada was hitting .200ish
Igawa was 5-0, 1.71 ERA, leading he league.

THEN...for no apparant reason, i started getting killed.

I am now 30-15, meaning I have gone 5-11 in my last 16 games (keep in mind that I have played every game.

Giambi is now hitting .390
Igawa has lost 2 straight starts and now has an ERA over 3.50
A-Rod hasnt driven in a run in 9 games.

I went from a 6 game lead on Boston to a 1-game lead, and I am in the middle of a series with them.

I just got a 1-hitter thrown at me by El Duque
a shutout by Wakefield
and just dropped a 7-4 decision to the Sox behind a complete game from Schilling (he dominated, but I hit a 3-run homer in the 9th with Abreu)

So, I made some deals:

Traded Posada to the Devil Rays for Dioner Navarro and Chad Orvella.
Traded Carl Pavano, Doug Meinkevich, and Brian Bruney to Chicago for Bobby Jenks
Signed Roger Clemens for 2 years, 39million
Traded Mike Mussina and Will Nieves to Chicago for AJ pierzinski
Called up Philip Hughes (has a 72 rating, but I think he'll improve)

Had a team meeting to play MLB 2K7, and it raised morale.

Hopefully I can prevent the sweep tonight, and get the team back on track

FUN FUCKING GAME.

^^ no, i have had the same sliders all season. I played about a half dozen "test" games before i started my franchise.

It is pretty in-depth. The computer uses a scouting system, where every so often, it adjusts to your tendencies (which automatically save to your V.I.P. after every game.) The computer sees that I suck at hitting changeups and always swing at balls in the dirt, so I have been seeing a lot more of them lately. Its a pretty nifty feature.

and ^ try switching the hitting to "classic". Its like MVP, if you ever played that. you just press A and it swings.

Hey, I don't mind using X for shooting on 2K7. I'll use the shot stick if I'm on a breakaway or about to dunk the ball. Maybe when I control Shawn Marion, I'll use the shot stick more often.

That was my exact experience with the NCAA Baseball game that came out for the x-box. I liked the new style of pitching, but I was lucky to get a hit or two per game. I finally gave up on it.

cod3 campaign on hardened is a real challenge ... i could not even imagine playing this game on veteran. currently i am in the 9th mission and i am stuck at a checkpoint where i have died about 30 times. there have only been about 3 or 4 checkpoints before this one that were this tough. people think gow makes you want to hide for cover, play this game on hardened or veteran ... it is enough to make you quit this game if you are not willing to endure the pain it has to offer. btw, if you play the single play7er campaign you will see what weapons in the mp they left out that would have been great, though unfair. for example the gehwer 43 is a german rifle that is fast like the american rifle, holds 10 bullets (german rifle in mp hold 5, and american rifle in mp holds 8), you can reload it at anytime (the american rifle in mp and sp reloads automatically after you empty a clip, thus you can not reload it at will), and it has the power of the heavy assault rifle. another good one is the lee enfield rifle. it is a british gun so impossible to have it in the mp and it is a very fast bolt-action rifle, and it even comes scoped, so it makes for a very refreshing sniper rifle to play with. beating this game on hardened or veteran is a huge accomplishment.
