haha, i think i'm gonna like tj. the kid seems real humble (except the part when he talks about turning unc down for state )
3/28/2012 7:03:21 PM
TJ needs a beard. got to add to the beard gang!
3/28/2012 7:08:19 PM
even if the guys don't stay 4 years...glad to hear they are coming in with that intention
3/28/2012 8:31:30 PM
From Pack Pride... I lol'd.
3/29/2012 2:39:22 AM
^^I've gotta think that Lewis will almost definitely be here four years. Love the kid, but he's not leaving anywhere early at 5'9
3/29/2012 9:12:45 AM
^^i can't see that pic, but is it this?they chose some odd pics to use

Purvis was quoted saying he will graduate from NC State. That could mean many different things, but encouraging all the same.
3/29/2012 9:24:50 AM
in 2020, through internet classes, after a few years in the league
3/29/2012 9:29:06 AM
I can see purvis staying at least 3 years. 4 would be awesome, for sure.

McD AA game Recap: the crowd suckedI saw little kids with signs yet they wouldnt let me bring in mineI can hardly speak after continuous chanting for amile-nc state as well as cheering for our other guys and booing unc's.I got a high five from amile, tj, and PoythressMy cab home was $70, add in 150 for my ticket and it wasnt inexpensiveOverall a good night...prob wont be doing it again next year unless we have another potential unsigned recruit there[Edited on March 29, 2012 at 2:09 PM. 3/29/2012 2:08:40 PM
^^ I cannot
3/29/2012 2:08:55 PM
Watching purvis last night really has me exicted. He's ready. Considering his size, build, athleticism and position he could be a carbon copy of Jason Williams while he was at Duke.
3/29/2012 2:12:23 PM
How does that mesh with Zo?Good or bad?
3/29/2012 2:24:42 PM
In my opinion, they are almost the same type of player. Purvis is a little bit bigger build-wise and likes to drive more than pass.
3/29/2012 2:44:43 PM
So then they coexist well or not?
3/29/2012 2:46:40 PM
Jason Williams was Duke's PG, but he would've been a more than capable 2 as well. It was one of those situations where you wanted the ball in his hands as much as possible.Next year I would say that Brown and Purvis are a good pair at 1 and 2. Obviously Lewis won't be ready from day one, creating a need for Brown there. I would venture to say that even as a fresh Purvis will be a better scorer than Brown so it's fine to leave him at the two. If Brown's shot improves and he hits the weight room hard in the off season, which I'm sure he will, they could basically both be combo guards. A nightmare of a backcourt for opponents.[Edited on March 29, 2012 at 2:49 PM. Reason : ^^ I said could be. There is nothing wrong with that. I didn't say will be.]
3/29/2012 2:47:30 PM
Brown seems smoother than Purvis. That's not a knock on Purvis, Zo is just seems to glide out there ... he makes basketball look effortless. He's also got more length than Purvis and seems to be a better pass/ballhandler.Both have good athleticism, but Purvis has more explosion to his game. Where Zo seems to glide into the lane, Purvis jolts in there. His shot also seems to be further along than Brown at this stage.Anyway, they're going to be a deadly in transition next year
3/29/2012 2:48:57 PM
3/29/2012 2:51:26 PM
Purvis definitely looks like a day one starter, and Warren will get heavy minutes off the bench. It'll be nice to have a 3 in the game who doesn't treat the paint like hot lava. I don't see Lewis playing much his freshman year barring injuries.
3/29/2012 3:28:20 PM
He'll play a little less than Johnson. Either way Brown will average over 30 min next year.
3/29/2012 3:35:23 PM
brown doesn't leave the floor for us, that's nothing new.
3/29/2012 3:48:08 PM
warren definitely looked more like a post player than the wing player people were saying he was
3/29/2012 4:02:22 PM
My thoughts off of seeing Warren for those 20 minutes or so that he played was that he reminded me of a college level, not-so-skilled, Mike Miller. He is someone who plays on the perimeter but for some reason always finds his way to the post for a rebound.also, if Brown does add weight then his speed and "smoothness" will dissipate to a certain degree.[Edited on March 29, 2012 at 4:09 PM. I think the fact that McAdoo is a projected top-10 NBA pick and he comes off the bench as a freshman on a stacked team should bode well for us landing Jefferson. Amile would give us a crazy 10-player rotation (if Leslie returns) with Brown, Purvis, and Lewis at guard and Warren, Howell, Painter, Vandenburg, Leslie, Jefferson and Wood at F/C.That's a killer lineup that I think is worthy of pre-season all-ACC favorites, don't you?
3/29/2012 4:13:42 PM
Who is gonna replace wood you guys????
3/29/2012 4:16:00 PM

3/29/2012 7:30:25 PM

3/29/2012 7:32:38 PM
^^is that confirmed or just hearsay?
3/29/2012 9:05:47 PM
^media outlets have said UNC might be in the mix for him...its well known he wants to transfer
3/29/2012 9:12:28 PM
From what I read his father specifically mentioned Carolina and that some of their kids are leaving early.
3/29/2012 9:13:40 PM
uconn fans are saying he has hands of stone and is soft in the paint. Nym...what say you?
3/30/2012 12:03:44 PM
this is [old] I guess, but how the fuck does espn have unc's class above ours??
3/30/2012 12:44:48 PM
Because they have 4 top-100 recruits, and we only have 3.
3/30/2012 12:53:31 PM
is that really a question? probably because it's fucking ESPN
3/30/2012 12:54:51 PM
Carolina has a good class, it just doesn't have the blue chippers they usually pull.According to ESPN:Us: Purvis(20), Warren(29), Lewis(44)Them: Paige(23), Johnson(30), Tokoto(66), James(77)
3/30/2012 1:20:53 PM

3/30/2012 1:52:20 PM
^^McAdoo played well recently, and he is such an athletic freak that he would probably be a lottery pick if he went.
3/30/2012 1:56:19 PM
