RvP had a great 1st half of the season and an OK 2nd half. If it were vice versa, then I guess he would have won it. Bale deserves the award anyway I guess[Edited on April 28, 2013 at 8:30 PM. Reason : ..]

RvP should've won it, cunty as he is.
4/28/2013 8:47:37 PM
Might as well mention Mata among these other names. He was tremendous all season.
4/28/2013 8:54:22 PM
Valencia should have won it too, as he is the best winger in the world

If we weren't owned by the Glazers, we would have continued to be a public company on the Stock exchange. There used to be a lot of red tape for releasing funds on players even though it wasn't a risk. So either way, we wouldn't have been spending like Chelsea, Madrid etc...http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004/feb/01/newsstory.sport5[Edited on April 29, 2013 at 8:54 AM. Reason : ...]

Damn, the glazers are making out like bandits on this investment.
4/29/2013 12:17:30 PM
The Glazers have been good owners who don't meddle with the team. Sir Alex gets what he wants and I would take the Glazers over someone like Mansoor or Abrhamovic. The only complain I have is the ticket prices. The debt is serviceable, I am not worried about that one bit (unless Sir Alex retires and we don't make top 4). Ticket prices would have gone up regardless. It would however be nice if the club were owned by fans but that would pose some other logistical challenges as well. We had owners that weren't squeezing millions out of our club and we still didn't spend ridiculous amounts on players. We spent more or less what they were worth. The return on investment for majority of United players has been terrific. [Edited on April 29, 2013 at 1:25 PM. Reason : .]

I mean, did you read the article or what?Without the leveraged buyout and interest and dividends, it wouldn't matter what kind of return United was getting in the transfer market because they could buy whatever the hell they wanted every year with no consequences. In what universe is Mansour a bad owner? Pump millions of dollars into transfers, wages, infrastructure, write off millions in debts... sounds pretty fucking sweet if you ask me. This just proves you're willing to argue about anything if you're defending the Glazers.
4/29/2013 1:40:42 PM
I don't think Mansour is a bad owner. He's not playing Football Manager like Abramovich.

4/29/2013 3:04:51 PM
Mancini doesn't win that FA Cup he is most likely gone. How does that make Mansoor a good owner? And liking the Glazers proves jack shit. What have we done under the Glazers? Oh you know only made three champions league finals and won one of them. Only won countless trophies in England. The Glazers have backed off and let football be handled by men who understand it. Say what you want about the Glazers but they are savvy businessmen. I would love to have the financial security of being debt free but I also would absolutely hate it if we were the kind of club that went out and spend 50 million on one player. You see there is a pride and joy about seeing someone like Welbeck, Hernandez, Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Vidic, Evra, Rafael, Fabio, and Evans. Its a matter of opinion. The Glazers could do better, yes, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side.[Edited on April 29, 2013 at 4:42 PM. Reason : .]

so wanting academy players and cheap players coming in makes me a troll and smug? I guess thats the American mentality since the American sports don't have a concept of youth academies. You lot are hilarious. Dortmund fans can be extremely proud of their team because of how they go about football. So wanting my team to emulate that and not spend money is bad now? hilarious. And you idiots clearly don't understand why I am defending the Glazers. Because they have let football be handled by men who are much better at it than them. They haven't meddled. I clearly said I wish we didn't have the debt. That also doesn't mean we would go out and spend 50 million on one player. United's value is at its highest and our operating profits are ridiculous. The Glazers know how to do business.[Edited on April 30, 2013 at 1:38 PM. Reason : .]

lol, I guess that should have been Glazer. But Ferguson isn't involved in any meddling either so it still works.
4/30/2013 2:29:36 PM
NYM410 read what I said again. I clearly say I want my club to emulate what Dortmund does. Since when does emulate mean we are comparable? And aimorris since you insist on being an ignorant fool I will break it down for you.The debt is acquisition debt. United is spending enough in the transfer market despite the debt. The owners are taking money out of the club but they are putting ridiculous amounts in to it. Have you seen the recent sponsorships we have acquired? That doesn't just happen, it takes smart businessmen. Sir Alex clearly helps but the Glazers know how to utilize Sir Alex's success to make the club much more marketable. It seems you don't understand how businesses operate. Leveragable debt is hardly a bad thing, especially for a club like Manchester United. Now you can say if the Glazers hadn't acquired United we would be making 80 million. Quiet simply we wouldn't be because that money coming is because the Glazers know how to leverage United's success. Look at Arsenal. They are extremely profitable but do their owners put anything into the team? hardly. Arsenal had a team to challenge United a few years ago. Their players left because the owners were too stubborn to strengthen the squad. Saying the Glazers are horrible for United is an extremely stupid argument. Anyone with decent business acumen would realize that. Its not as black and white as that. The Glazers aren't great for United but they haven't done anything to hurt United either. Increasing are value doesn't just require success on the pitch, it requires a business model. Anyway I am done with your absolute ignorance. You clearly don't understand that I am not saying the Glazers are fantastic for United but they clearly aren't bad either. They are businessmen, their success depends on United's success at the end of the day. Carry on being an absolute dimwit now.
4/30/2013 2:29:55 PM
Meddling free zone.
4/30/2013 2:33:59 PM
^^ Thoroughly enjoying the ownage of the ABUs... but I have to disagree with you on the glazers being good owners. I will hold my judgement till after sir Alex leaves and the club sees dark days. The owners are basically on cruise control since the manager is doing such a great job. We were a highly marketable club even before they came so I don't really understand the grand praise from a true supporter like you[Edited on April 30, 2013 at 2:44 PM. Reason : ..]
