^Zimmerman wouldn't have had the balls to get out of his vehicle if he hadn't had the gun on him. According to me, he loses his self-defense argument right there. But of course it can't be argued in court.

That's true.It seems like Florida's gun laws are written to require less responsibility on the part of Fl gun owners, not more, which is a mistake.

The Zimmerman camp is saying that Trayvon went for the gun.Is this fight between Trayvon and Zimmerman making less and less sense to anyone else?Like, when was the gun branished? If before the fight, Trayvon would have to have been insane to go for the gun then.If Trayvon discovered the gun while fighting, he must have been super-negro to be able to use 1 arm of a 160lbs frame (lanky as fuck) to subdue Zimmerman, beat him, AND slam his head into the ground. Then use his other arm/hand to reach behind Zimmerman to get his gun....presumably while zimmerman is on his back (assuming that zimmerman kept his gun back there in his waistband as written in police report).
3/27/2012 7:13:50 AM
^If there is anyone in the case who would lie, it is Zimmerman. Guilty or not, isn't there enough evidence to ARREST him? All we need is an arrest.
3/27/2012 8:28:55 AM
This guy is also 6'0 and 160lbs:[lanky as fuck]
3/27/2012 9:37:10 AM
I do not think there is an honor code for self appointed community watch captains that would preclude them from lying.

Not really related to this case or investigation, but a new orleans police officer has been suspended without pay for posting online "ACT LIKE A THUG, DIE LIKE A THUG" under a news article for the Trayvon Martin story.

it's at pretty unique/interesting situation, you should read up on it.evlbuxmbettys short version: basically some guy (George Zimmerman) who had a hard-on for the neighborhood watch was 'watching' from his car with a gun and called the police on a suspicious looking BLACK MALE WEARING A HOODIE (Trayvon Martin). Police advised Zimmerman to not follow the man and stay put as they were on their way. Instead, Zimmerman followed Martin who eventually started running (advised by his girlfriend who he was on the phone with) from Zimmerman (at this point still in his car). Zimmerman stepped out of the car, a physical altercation happened (still working out the details) and Martin ended up on top of Zimmerman, punching him and banging his head on the pavement. Zimmerman shot Martin in the stomach and Martin died.

georges st pierre is 6ft and 170 and lanky, you can still be strong as shitweights and shit arent the point because anyone can take anyone out the point is who escalated what to the point where someone would fear for their life and have to fight or runpeople are placing too much emphasis on races, criminal/disciplinary history, and the "tale of the tape" on both sides of the argument it dilutes what actually may or may not have transpired at that moment between the two parties
3/27/2012 12:03:38 PM
are we seriously comparing Trayvon to Georges St. Pierre? i am embarrassed for t-dub
3/27/2012 12:06:01 PM
a 170 pound tall lanky guy compard to a 170 pound tall lanky guy yea i am, how about some of these young basketball players comin outta highschool, sorry if you cant see the point of that comparisonim not saying anything but trayvon could damn well have been beating his ass especially if hes nice with his hands or whateverit matters that (imo) george started the confrontation and to the people that say "o but trayvon was beating is head in" and the other side saying "but hes a 170 pound kid! thats impossible)bullshit its entirely possible, and it was in trayvons right to do so potentially to protect his own life[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 12:09 PM. Georges St. Pierre is one of the best MMA fighters in the world. Trayvon Martin WAS just a 170lb lanky kid. theres a BFD [Big Fucking Difference]I am with you though in saying that yeah, a 170lb lanky kid could do some damage to a 240lb (is that what they're calling it?) guy. No doubt.I also agree that Martin had every right to bash Zimmermans head in the ground. You better believe if some strange dude was following me in his car, esp after I had started running, I'd be scratching his fucking eyeballs out if he got out of the car and tried to confront me.
3/27/2012 12:22:08 PM
i dont understand driving/walking TOWARDS the person that put you in fear for your life.
3/27/2012 12:27:37 PM
are you gonna run away from someone with a gun thats up on you? i feel thats kinda dumb but we dont know how it went down, sometimes people make the wrong decision i doubt trayvon knew enough about the neighborhood to go run and hide somewhereyou may walk closer to the person to improve communication, let them see your face and expressions to show you arent a threat and so they can read your lips as you talk do avoid any misunderstanding^^thats all im sayin, its a little extreme but you get the gist [Edited on March 27, 2012 at 12:32 PM. 3/27/2012 12:31:58 PM
"hey, i know i was following you in my car and i'm carrying a gun, but i'm not a threat"maybe Trayvon didn't know he had a gun until the altercation started and they were already in it and he decided to reach for it. i would have tried to get the gun away from the guy i was fighting with too.on the other hand, if trayvon knew zimmerman had a gun before hands were laid upon eachother, idk why the fight even started. in another scenario, i can see zimmerman approaching trayvon, showing trayvon the gun in an attempt to tell trayvon 'don't do anything rash' and trayvon being like 'fuck that' and trying to get the gun away from him. none of the scenarios change my mind that zimmerman deserves some sort of punishment. he directly disobeyed police orders ignored the dispatchers suggestion to not follow trayvon. he got out of his car (his 'safe zone'). he confronted trayvon. i mean this dude killed a kid when he really didn't have to.[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 1:07 PM. 3/27/2012 12:44:56 PM
unfortunately in this situation, the 'thing you shouldnt do' didn't end up in the do-ers death, it ended up in someone elses. so what now?

i have no idea exactly what happened, but it's amazing the number of people that think they do. i'm not going to say one way or the other. but:disobeying a dispatcher is not a crime. (people say he disobeyed police. he didn't.)approaching the kid was not a crime, and neither was having the gun when he approached him.
3/27/2012 12:58:43 PM
thats what makes this case so interesting. my understanding of the law is limited to NC bicycle laws and the fact that marijuana is still illegal in most states however, there must be something about directly disobeying police orders dispatchers suggestions which results in an unarmed persons death.Trayvon also didn't break any laws. So does he die in vain? What is this country gonna learn from this? What kind of example does it set that Zimmerman escalated this situation by stalking Trayvon until he felt the need to defend himself with his hands and ended up dead? Trayvon didn't have a gun, does that mean that 'Stand Your Ground' doesn't apply to him?[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 1:06 PM. Reason : for DD]

approaching the kid could be a crime depending on how he approached

yea but its plausible that laws could very well have been broken depending on statement police have received that we dont know about^youre saying flat out that approaching the kid is not a crime when it damn well could be if you approach someone in a threatening manner it can be assault[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 1:01 PM. 3/27/2012 1:00:38 PM
why do you think the dispatcher said "we don't need you to [follow him] do that" because he knew that this kind of shit had the potential to go downso scratch the 'directly disobeying police orders' thing. Zimmerman was still in the wrong by following Trayvon in his car. And stupid as fuck to get out of his car. You're right, there probably aren't any laws for being DUMB AS FUCK.

The bottom line is this, if Zimmerman jumped first and shot that young man because he was being all John Wayne then yes I hope he gets life in prison. If they find out that Trayvon jumped the guy as he was walking back to his SUV then no, Trayvon was at fault and Zimmerman should go free or maybe only be charged with manslaughter. What troubles me the most is that people want "justice" without due process and without a trial. They've made up their minds without ever knowing but a few bits of the story. Let the police do their jobs. The Duke lax case should be a valuable lesson in not judging, wait and see what facts come to light. People were ready to lynch those guys and they had done anything but make some lousy choices.[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 1:09 PM. Reason : Too easy and I'm not that mean]

I think most people are caliing for an arrest, not execution. This would be part of the due process.I think that there is a general lack of trust in the police to do their jobs.
