33 point loss during the bye week

play up to the Packers, Saints, and Falcons. Play down to the Cardinals, Bears, and Vikings. i'm all good with the optimistic future and knowing the team is building a contender but fuck, you can't look at this loss and say it's ok. This was a game we should have put away early and we floundered. Fuck losing on a missed FG

for everyone saying Kasay would have made that FG, remember that last season he missed a similar FG against the Browns. it happens sometimes.]
10/30/2011 7:00:25 PM
last season we were thrilled at that FG miss against the browns

Cam has now thrown for 2393 yards in 8 games. He's on pace for 4786 for the year. The Panthers threw for a total of 2289 yards all of last season
10/31/2011 12:56:09 AM
That was definitely a game we should have won but to act like its ridiculous to lose is disingenuous. Minnesota has been slightly better than us to date this season. We were at home and they were starting Ponder so yeah we were small favorites. We are awful against the run, we have got to focus all our attention towards the defense next season. Imagine the Panthers are now realizing how fucking stupid it was to give Deangelo $60 million last offseason. Im guessing Jerry isn't willing to cut him and eat the guaranteed money like they did for delhomme?
10/31/2011 1:17:40 AM
I think you mean $43 million over 5 years. It's widely acknowledged that the DeAngelo deal was a mistake. He'll be released in 2 or 3 years, when he hits 30 and it's obvious that he's grossly overpaid. For now, he's helping the team. The run defense got decimated when Edwards, Beason and Davis went down. It's gonna suck all year, but it'll be better in 2012 when Beason and Edwards come back. Regardless, acquiring a run-stuffing DT should be the priority in the offseason.
10/31/2011 2:20:26 AM
I think we should have gone for it on 4 and 2. Had it been for the win then the FG would have been prudent. Seeing how much we sucked against the run all day, i'd rather put the game in the hands of the offense instead of a coin flip.

Abdullah has the Reche Caldwell thing goin on
10/31/2011 9:54:44 AM
The Panthers should went for it on 4th down a couple times in the 4th. 4th & 1 and 4th & 2 with a 6'6 QB who is good on his feet. Giving the ball back to the Vikings to let them march down the field for a FG when our D was already tired was a mistake in IMO.I am one that likes to see the best player with the ball when the game is on the line. Merrill Hoge just named Cam the 5th best QB in the league (with 4. Brees, 3. Brady, 2. Big Ben, 1. Rodgers)talk about doing a 180 on a player
10/31/2011 1:22:27 PM
Big Ben at #2 is ridiculous. Merrill Hoge is a fucking idiot
10/31/2011 1:24:33 PM
Ben has been pretty solid aside from their 2 losses

Bradshaw had 7 2000+ yard seasons and 2 of those were 3000+ yard seasons. Also, in 78 he was just 85 yards shy of 3000.Three of those Superbowls are in those 2000+ seasons with the 78 and 79 Super Bowl seasons being around or above 3000 yards. In 74, the only Super Bowl year without a 2000+ yard passing total from Bradshaw, he actually lost the starting job at the beginning of the season, accounting for his low yardage that year.Amazing what you can learn with facts!!! Apparently prolific passing games help win Super Bowls, and years with crappy passing totals don't even make the playoffs![Edited on October 31, 2011 at 1:57 PM. Reason : .]

you do realize Big Ben has thrown for 1300 yards, 11 TDs and only 3 Ints over the past month right? Those TDs are second only to Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers are 4-0 in that span. He's putting up numbers and playing about as well as he has in a long time.and i'm not a Big Ben or Steelers fan in the slightest]

Steelers hate has become worse than Steelers bandwagondom

for a stadium that is 15 years old, it looks so much better than a bunch of the stadiums that were built after it
11/2/2011 1:20:04 PM
hahahaha, that fact that you searched for a picture of me (and Hoge), photoshopped it and created the post proves that I have the upper hand in this relationship

from the Cam article:
11/3/2011 1:56:18 PM
Steve Smith is a hometown hero, not a league-wide superstar like Cam is growing into
11/3/2011 1:57:39 PM
Larry Johnson? Alonzo Mourning?
11/3/2011 1:59:31 PM
They were All-Stars, Cam has the potential to be Lebron/Tiger famous
11/3/2011 2:00:46 PM
exactly, David Glenn spent his entire show talking about this a few weeks ago. Asking who is/was the biggest sports celebrity who plays in North Carolina (Michael Jordan doesnt count). Cam is close to the top of the list already
