NC State can't swing 20 million. i doubt FSU or Clempson can swing that buyout.

I think these people are ignoring the fact that the NC legislature would likely get involved if the SEC were to try to take us. They've shown no reluctance to use legislative pressure to get us and UNC to play ECU, so do you think they'd sit idly by and let us depart for the SEC? I highly doubt it.

So I guess the only reason the SEC would even consider NCSU over UNC is because of the rivalry between UNC and Duke? Seriously, if they want a good sports team (in any sport) and want ratings in the triangle why would they ever consider NCSU over UNC?

^^ SEC knows Duke and Carolina are connected at the hip and therefore there is no reason to go after UNC. SEC would have zero interest in Duke.

Right, because the SEC is better than the ACC is basketball. Other than Kentucky and Florida (eventually TAMU) the rest of the SEC wouldn't finish middle of the road in the ACC.

^ Dumb. Vandy is a very solid team and has been for years. UT was very good during the Pearl years and we'll see if they sustain that. Both of those teams would be able to regularly beat NC State and finish in the middle or higher in the ACC. The SEC West is straight up garbage. Miss State is sometimes legit.

I like our chances to come out even if we played a home and home vs Vandy.

You think we would stand a better chance against Duke, Carolina, Pitt, and Syracuse every year rather than Kentucky, Florida, Vandy, and UT?

The Big East commish is the biggest douchecanoe I have ever seen. They have an emergency teleconference this morning & everyone was speculating they were going to add some teams...nope...they are going to continue to sit on their ass & do nothing while the conference dissolves.

This man has got to be the worst leader ever...what a putz. He gives the north a bad name.

if the big east is desperate enough to take ezu, by the time they start "competing" the big east won't have an automatic BCS berth anymore. why kill basketball (moreso than ACC expansion did) by taking on teams like ezu in a failing effort to keep football alive? hell, the "mountain west/conference usa merger" would be a better football conference than any scraps the big east can put together. especially once they lose WVU to the Big XII

^ yeah the fact that the Big East let this guy be the head of their conference says a lot about how shitty that conference is.

I think the football schools should just break off, form their own & add some C-USA teams or just merge with C-USA. The only team left that deserves better than C-USA is West Virginia. Louisville, Cincinnatti..they aren't shit...but they think they are. UConn..please, only in basketball.
