Listening to the new Sufjan Stevens now. Liking what I hear so far, but it is definitely different.

^ yeh, i definitely like it, although i could do without the autotuned portions on tracks 6 and 11.

I'm seeing sufjan at the tabernacle in atlanta in october, and i'll be interested to see how (if) he plays material from his last three albums with this new album.

True.

No Big Deal is catchy as fuck, though.

New Antony and Johnsons is Zzzzzz.... I really loved the last two records, but this one isn't doing it for me.

halcyon digest is such a personal album. right on the level of microcastle musically, but a notch higher lyrically. bradford cox continues to amaze me.

haha, i dont know that I can argue that. but on their last few albums, the first 5 songs have been good, and, well shitty after that.

Woah...Four Tet remixes The xx's "VCR," and it's as perfect as it sounds.

^^ i got pretty burnt out on KoL around the time radio stations decided to play them like every other song for a month.... but i disagree.

the last 2 albums have a couple stinkers towards the end (the runner, trunk, i want you) but also has some great songs (ragoo, notion, arizona)

man, this new and belle and sebastian is just awful... the only song i could imagine listening to again is 'ghost of rockschool.'

that norah jones song on the album effectively ends my relationship with belle and seb

Not sure how many of y'all have followed (or even care for that matter) the Lupe Fiasco/Atlantic Record issue lately, but apparently they've finally settled their differences. And Lupe's new album, LASERS, is set to release on March 8 2011. It's been complete, according to Lupe Fiasco, for a couple of years now but Atlantic kept pushing it back. According to the article below, Atlantic said the lead single will be released on Oct 26. This is definitely the album I'm most looking forward to...

http://www.allhiphop.com/stories/news/archive/2010/10/08/22430468.aspx?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Also, Lupe put this song up on his site a few weeks ago...it's from his next album, after LASERS. Sounds pretty good.

^Oh I know...it's nothing major. But the story behind it was pretty interesting, if you care at all about his music (which I do...others may not). There was a big protest planned for sometime this month because they kept putting the album off. The story had gained national attention...just thought someone may be interested, that's the only reason I posted it.

I'm just saying, as waiting periods go for completed-but-unreleased albums, this one is relatively short.

Extraordinary Machine
Chinese Democracy
Smile

etc.

Album cover is "dope" too.

i really like it. it's alot of R&B which surprised me but overall 7/10. first and last tracks are my faves but there are one or two inbetween that stand out as well. not a fan of the single Oliver Twist but if you do like that then the rest of the album should be cool for you too.

^That should almost never be said about a TA song. They're supposed to be that way.

That song rules and that's a great live version. TA is one of my favorite bands right now, and they're so fucking awesome live.

Weezer - "Tragic Girl" http://blogs.1077theend.com/files/2010/10/Weezer-Tragic-Girl_422410-2.mp3

Recorded during the 1997 Pink Triangle sessions. Can't believe this never got out until now; it's up there with everything from that era. Some of the songs that have emerged from that time show that they probably could have released a pretty fantastic third album had everything not gone to shit with Rivers. Too bad.

So we can all agree that witch house is the worst thing ever invented, right? But I'm seriously thinking of making an album tomorrow, uploading it to What, and tagging it witch house so people will download it.

I'm gonna say there's a 60% chance of that happening, seriously.

I really enjoy TA

really unenjoy Conor Oberst, unless I get nostalgic for a tic and listen to Desaparecidos

that said, I see the similarities, certainly

and W00T DARYL PALUMBO
