^^ yeah, they say that, and then they proceed to shit all over us the rest of the time. Them hyping Wilson up so damned much now when they didn't even know his fucking name last year is how they are shitting on us. RW was just as good last year. he just played for us, and the media hates us
10/1/2011 10:55:25 PM
You are so fucking dumb. Please stay in soap box.
10/1/2011 10:55:59 PM
trust me, the media doesnt hate State... they dont care about State

10/1/2011 10:56:39 PM
truth.and they may not all be killing TOB yet, but I have certainly heard folks question it on national tv. The more Wisconsin wins and we suck ass, you can bet the salacious gossip/shitty newsreporting angle will kick in and it will be a big story. [Edited on October 1, 2011 at 10:58 PM. Reason : .]

it was pretty bushleague of ESPN to focus on a Tom O'Brien sign at GameDay this morning as their sign o' the day or whatever they called it
10/1/2011 11:01:13 PM
Such a shame Chuck didn't have Wilson at his disposal.
10/1/2011 11:01:14 PM
^^ why? whens the last time a player of that caliber has left one team for another major team?
10/1/2011 11:02:40 PM
Bryce Brown? lol

10/1/2011 11:20:19 PM
right, being dismissed for being a fucking criminal and heading to a junior college and ultimately moving on to another school is exactly the same situation.
10/1/2011 11:21:25 PM
^^^the media dissed blinn college when they sucked his dick so much last year. he was just as good for them and won a national championship there too!

thats not how it worked. we had one of the best defenses in the country the years after rivers. stone/davis was the only thing that was awful.

Tom O'Brien will never recruit a two sport athlete after this.
10/3/2011 7:08:50 PM
He won't be recruiting anyone after this year.

Wonder if he'll go back to BC when he gets the boot, since the BC coach might get the boot as well
10/3/2011 8:53:18 PM
they dont want him. if sendek got fired from asu last year, we would not have hired him.[Edited on October 3, 2011 at 9:10 PM. Reason : ^thats probably the most absurd suggestion ever in this thread now that i think about it]

so you're telling me he hasn't won shit here?
10/3/2011 10:45:33 PM
I normally wouldn't post a piece from WRAL's Tim Hall, but this little tidbit raised the ol'eyebrow... notice to Archer?
10/6/2011 1:34:49 PM
^Calling out players, not coaches.
10/6/2011 1:45:52 PM
Yeah, that sounds more like TOB's "blame the players for not succeeding in spite of our defensive gameplan."If they're doing well during practice and then during the game things go awry, well at that point you have to question whether or not you're practicing the right things.[Edited on October 6, 2011 at 2:16 PM. this really is not a troll attempt, and clearly most everyone on here knows i'm a big clemson fan...i just wanted to point out this difference in coaching personality...and one speaks pretty directly towards the attitude of the other (especially if you listen to what TOB is saying in the video after beating Pitt) Watch Video #1 2:10mins into the video especially...then watch #2 lol.Video 1:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6pYRW2b98oVideo 2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctK3LCufY4I&feature=relatedcompletely without any bias- which guy would you rather sign to play for?[Edited on October 6, 2011 at 2:29 PM. TOB, easily.
10/6/2011 2:28:25 PM
Chuck Amato
10/6/2011 2:31:54 PM
Im sure this has already been mentioned, but TOB is getting hammered by the sports media for letting RW go.One guy, I forget who, was like "I respect TOB sticking to his principles, but gotdamn he let one of the best QBs in the country just walk away" This gets back to the point someone already mentioned, that sometimes if the athlete is good enough, you need to at least try to accommodate them without showing blatant favoritism. [Edited on October 6, 2011 at 3:16 PM. Reason : .]
10/6/2011 3:14:38 PM
really? but it's true, imagine if we kept him and were as good as wisconsin!
10/6/2011 3:16:35 PM
the recruiting rankings someone posted on another page were just lol-worthy
10/6/2011 4:32:51 PM
^^^ I would bet that same guy $1,000,000 that he wouldnt even know who Russell Wilson was if he was still at NC State. Where has this guy been the last 3 years? Everyone in the ACC knew Wilson was a player but the media completely ignored him. Why wasn't he hyping Wilson during this time? Basically, the media is Monday morning QBing the entire situation. Why not praise TOB and state for taking a basically no-named recruit and developing him into the best QB in the country?[Edited on October 6, 2011 at 4:34 PM. Reason : .]
10/6/2011 4:34:11 PM
If they're doing well during practice and then during the game things go awry they all break their feet, ankles or legs, well at that point you have to question whether or not you're practicing the right things wearing the right shoes.FTFY
10/6/2011 4:37:04 PM
So, who makes that decision and have they caught flack?
10/6/2011 4:38:56 PM
lol at TOB "developing" RW into a good playerhell, if anything, the coaching they gave him made him worse in his second year. he was clearly overthinking every play instead of just going on instinct. hated watching that shit. the Miami game his freshman year was incredible. he didn't make plays like that nearly as much after the first year (yes I realize he was at bigger risk of getting hurt on running plays. but you could tell when he was reacting late to things because he was coached to be a pocket passer in his last two years)
10/6/2011 4:39:50 PM
Seriously, imagine how good he would be if he wasn't coached to be a qb.
10/6/2011 4:42:23 PM
Wilson's gonna be awesome in the NFLThink of all the head coaches that let a 5'10" sixth-round pick do anything he wants under centerKid is gonna thrive
10/6/2011 4:45:36 PM
^Irrelevant post is irrelevant.
10/6/2011 4:47:14 PM

10/6/2011 4:54:09 PM
10/6/2011 4:58:10 PM
He's most definitely on the hot seat. If the season continues to go down the drain, (this was the easy portion), Yow could make the case for dismissal based solely on a pathetic 5 year win/loss total.
