Baltimore's defense is obviously good and Indy is pretty good and oh yeah, Denver isn't great

I'd go with Garcia unless you wanna scour the waiver wire...just like you I have a moral conflict when playing somebody against the Panthers

The Panther's secondary is pretty shitty. Starting Garcia is not a bad move. You should really be looking to upgrade over the shit QBs you have Stingray.

You've got to have something you can trade to atleast get a guy like Hasselbeck or a similar QB.

We've allowed 5 passing TDs in 3 games and we're in the middle of the league as far as passing yards per game

Its just up in the air right now...Panthers are consistently inconsistent, especially at home...will Jenkins' words get them fired up? We've had a good recent history against Tampa...but we've also had a history of coming out shitty at home after a nice road win

I'd plan on playing Garcia over Anderson or Cutler...although fwiw Cutler will probably be throwing a lot if Indy gets a nice lead...keep an eye on the waivers though

here's my team:

matt leinart
chad johnson
wes welker
larry johnson
sammy morris
reggie bush
antonio gates
vincent jackson
jay cutler
marques colston
warrick dunn
lee evans
derek anderson

the only trade bait i have is johnson and gates, and they provide the few points i do get. i've added just about every sleeper out there, hoping to steal some points.

You may be able to trade one of your WRs for a Delhomme, Hasselbeck, Big Ben type QB depending on how big your league is. It just seems like there has to be more quality arms out there than Leinart, Cutler, and Anderson.

Someone is bound to take a flyer on Evans or Colston for a QB they have stashed on the bench.

yeah i'd see what you could get for either evans or colston

you'd still have a good WR core:

Chad Johnson
Marques Colston
Wes Welker
Vincent Jackson

or

Chad Johnson
Lee Evans
Wes Welker
Vincent Jackson

I like Colston more than Evans right now...even though New Orleans sucks, Colston is getting his catches unlike Evans

Quote :
"Bears: Griese named starter

The Bears have a new starting quarterback. Brian Griese will be under center when they face the Lions on Sunday, according to NFL.com. He will replace Rex Grossman, who has thrown one touchdown pass and six interceptions in three games this season. Griese tossed 20 touchdown passes in 11 games for the Buccaneers back in 2004.

This move should not surprise anyone. Head coach Lovie Smith passed on an opportunity to defend Grossman after the game and again on Monday. Griese had a solid preseason, but he hasn't appeared in a meaningful game since 2004. Nevertheless, he has some quality tools to work with and he should garner some attention from fantasy owners who need help at the quarterback position.

ok here are all the defenses that have not been taken? most everyone should have their two starting defenses already so this is is mainly for which has the most potential as a backup,
what we've got left is

new york giants at 10 fantasy points
arizona defense at 16 fantasy points
new york jets at six fantasy points
n'awlins, st louis, Miami at five fantasy points

right now I've got got the Arizona defense but this is the freakin arizona cardinals so in terms of potential it might make sense to take the giants, how high did their defense finish last yr and did they lose any one off the squad?

Okay I am preparing for my next week bye defense. Do I pick up :

Houston(home) vs Miami
Tenn(home) vs Atlanta

the rest that are available have tough matchups or on byes. I'm Leaning towards Tenn as Atlanta off is shaky however both are about the same.

I'd say Miami is alot more likely to score points than atlanta and harrington is more likely to throw stupid picks than green.

Ok here's one..........

Adrian Peterson Vs. Greenbay, with Chester Taylor back from injury.

OR

Marshawn Lynch vs. the JETs.........

Who do you go with? GB's defense is pretty stout, and Taylor might be stealing carries again.
Lynch is the number 1 guy, and facing a crappy Jets D....

I'd rather trade Henry over MBIII because Barber is going to score 15+ TDs this year although Henry could have a huge year too. You have great depth at RB so trading for McNabb is a good move, but I don't know which back I'd trade. All four (not including Jones) are studs.

Maybe Westbrook so that you are not putting too much reliance on the Eagles offense with both McNabb and Westbrook.

McNabb @ NYG or Romo vs. STL @ home.

Both are good matchups, but I am leaning towards Romo despite McNabbs big week last week.

FLEX: Cadillac@Carolina or Darrell Jax@Sea or JCotch@Buffalo.
Leaning towards Cadillac mainly because of Carolina's shitty run defense...

Panthro, you were dead on last time I asked for Romo v. McNabb when McNabb blew up on MNF. Any intuitive suggestions to help my decisions this time? thx!

^ Romo is a must start especially at home. The Cowboys rolled up the Bears last week and St.Louis has a mediocre defense and no offense to speak of right now. Romo will have the ball in his hands all game (no homo intended).

Should I drop Bobby Engram for Greg Jennings, Nate Burleson or Brandon Jones? I won't start any of them this week but who has the best upside?

^^, ^^^ yeah, Romo is arguably the best QB back play this week vs. an absolutely terrible STL secondary. Mix that will the fact that Bulger is hurt, STL's O-Line is in shambles, and Stephen Jackson isnt playing, and the Boy's will have numerous chances to punch it in.

Start Romo, Owens, Witten, MB3 and even JJ if you have them. (JJ in deeper leagues of 12+).

- The Guru

oh, and thanks for the positive feedback. Everyone on here is so quick to point out when I m wrong, but hardly ever does anyone give any credit, so it's much appreciated.

QB Chad Pennington

WR Chad Johnson

WR Roy Williams

RB Jamal Lewis

RB Julius Jones OR Brian Leonard (S Jackson injured, Jones-Drew bye)

TE Kellen Winslow (might have to pick up a backup if he's injured)

W/R Bernard Berrian

^not JJ, MBIII should pick up the load even more i would think, JJ gets no love.

reggie brown and drew brees for J Cotch

I have Big Ben as my QB, need a backup or a better QB yards wise...

I have Darrell Jackson, JCotch, Roy Williams, Reggie Wayne and Deion Branch in 2 WR league

do i make the trade? Brees hasnt shown ANYTHING yet.

are you also second in points but 1-2?

^wait, I misread that, let me edit it

[Edited on September 26, 2007 at 6:25 PM. Reason : d]

^I would probably do that..Brees is a huge mystery, but the reward could be huge. Although I love Cotchery and think Reggie Brown is garbage...but with 2 WR's it won't matter anyway, since you have Roy and Wayne and good depth.

Absolutely Lynch, he'll get all the carries, even more with Losman hurt, and he should have his best game to date. He has to be licking his chops, he's seen the Broncos, Steelers, Patriots...and now gets the Jets!

yea! 4 for 4!

Go with Lynch here. Without losman, they are going to rely heavily on Lynch with the running game, but I also anticipate that he gathers about 40-50 receiving yards as well. He'll probably have about ~120 combined yards and he will reach paydirt once.

I will answer all questions by flipping a coin. Heads means the first guy in a pair. Only one flip decides it, using a New York state quarter. Flip technique: throw coin in the air, catch it in one hand, flip it on to the back of other hand.

McNabb @ NYG or Romo vs. STL @ home.
coin flip says: Romo

RB Julius Jones OR Brian Leonard
coin flip says: Jones

Adrian Peterson Vs. Marshawn Lynch
coin flip says: lynch

do i pray delhomme gets healthy, or go with Anderson against a stout Baltimore D?
coin flip says: go with delhomme
