I'm not sure how it works on the Federal Level, but in North Carolina you are not allowed to take money donated to your for one campaign and use it on a different campaign. and when you begin to take in money, you have to come up with a plan for dispersing if you decide to quit running for that office. an example would be giving it back to the people who donated to you last or donating it to charity. You are not allowed to give it to people who donated to you first, since that would be highly illegal.

I understand the shadiness of trying to use the money for a congressional run, and I do disagree with it....but he's said all along that he's not going to run as anything other than repub., and going on a spending spree knowing there's no chance of the nomination isn't much better.

I don't know of the regs in such a situation, but I hope he just gives any excess to charity or something....he's already said he will never endorse mccain, if transferring the money to him is even an option.

Regardless I support what he has done up to now in this Presidential race. To me he was the only candidate that could have "CHANGED" anything in our government. I think he said a lot of things that needed to be said.
