I've got a Remington 870 Police Magnum in parkerized finish with ghost ring sights and Speedfeed stock (holds 4 shells). 18.5" fixed I/C barrel.Very good condition with the usual wear on the barrel from an extended mag clamp, and very minimal wear on a couple edges. I'll see if anyone wants to go $475 without the extended mag. I am willing to get pics within a few days, but would prefer any serious inquiries to just see it in person.[Edited on December 2, 2008 at 11:07 PM. Reason : .]

Winchester 1300 Defender with Collapsible Stock with pistol grip & 6 shell holder installedTactical light and laser mounted to 7 shot tubular magComes with an additional Pistol GripIt'll shoot rifled and buckshot slugs (I've used this gun for target shooting, 8 shot only put through it). It'll chamber a 3" mag. Solid shotgun, I'm considering a Remmington 870 Marine Magnum to replace it.$375 OBO

I sent him an email as well, but no reply.ANYWAY......I have a Chinese Norinco SKS for sale. It's matching numbers (all pieces matching) and in the best shape of any SKS i've ever seen. there is not one blemish or imperfection on the gun. Has less than 30rounds though the gun. I have spent close to 4hrs cleaning all the cosmoline out of the gun, and making it perfect.$350 or best offer. I'd like a local deal first, but will ship on buyers dime.
12/8/2008 11:03:04 AM
^^when do you all plan on taking the course (with this guy, if he ever responds). I'll join if I can, and we'll all save $10.I haven't been shooting for long, so hopefully I can pass the demonstration [Edited on December 8, 2008 at 12:10 PM. ^yeah, i sent him a couple messages (email and PM's) and haven't heard back eitheri'd be in on taking the class as well- i also asked him where he did his range stuff and if he took care of all the paperwork (or at least had it available and would help me go through it, because I haven't checked it out before, and I can just imagine it being a pain in the butt)I know he is friends with gk2004 so someone might try asking him if he knows what is up with his friendand as for the shooting demonstration, I saw someone doing it before, and it didn't look bad at all- the targets were close, and the time alotted for each "draw" or "grouping" was more than enough[Edited on December 8, 2008 at 3:40 PM. ^do you know what he does for out-of-county residents? I'm from pamlico county
12/8/2008 4:01:27 PM
to be honest, i don't knowi don't think that matters too much- but i have no idea (most course from what i understand are accepted state to state, not county to county- like the one they do at PDHSC is accepted in like 21 or 27 states)
12/8/2008 6:05:57 PM
If you guys are looking for the best deal in CC, Jim's gun shop has a guy that will teach a class of 2 - 9 people for $60. Let me know if you want more info and I will be happy to pass it along. Its accepted in all counties.
12/8/2008 6:07:57 PM
I'll be going to PDHSC on Saturday around 3pm if anyone is interested.
12/8/2008 6:21:07 PM
^^I actually have the card for that guy, but i wasn't sure if it was still offered... Charlie Lett, right?
12/8/2008 6:42:02 PM
Charlie Lett is who I took my class through a few years ago. Assuming that he hasn't changed, it's a pretty good course. He was confused on one or two laws but it wasn't bad and otherwise was really good. Shooting test was straightforward with no bullshit too. I'd definitely recommend him to anybody that's in the area.
12/8/2008 9:33:43 PM
If you go to a class where the teacher thinks he knows all the laws...I would be a little worried. There are always very nit picky questions and situations that pose major questions. For example, this question has come up several times and has been answered by an ATF agent, ALE agent and a sheriff...they all had different answers.I have a friend who owns a bar, he constantly closes at 3 -4 am. They were robbed not too long ago and now he wants to carry a gun. Is he allowed to carry in his own bar, if so, when?ALE - You can only carry when the bar is closed and no one is being served alcohol.AFT - Its your bar, you can conceal anytime.Sheriff - You can carry in the back of the bar and office, but not where the alcohol is sold.
12/8/2008 9:54:34 PM
From the way the law is written, I have understood it to be that if it is your bar, you can carry where ever you want in it.
12/8/2008 10:13:04 PM
all that matters is how the judge interprets itbut if it comes to that you probably don't care what the judge says, otherwise, no one should be the wiser one of those judged by 12 or carried by 6 things

I am also interested in the ccw course. I was going to send that guy a message but it sounds like he's not responding. Drunktyper could you get us the info for the course from the jim's gun shop guy?
12/9/2008 12:27:44 PM
i just heard back from the guy on here who offers the class, and here is what he said:
12/9/2008 3:45:06 PM
. Alcoholic Beverages Sold and Consumed: NO FIREARMAny establishment where alcoholic beverages are BOTH sold and consumed such as restaurants, bars, etc. N.C.G.S. 14-269.3.According to N.C.G.S. 14-269.3(b)(4), this section does not apply to: "a person registered or hired as a security guard by the owner, lessee, or person or organization sponsoring the event""I did check some time ago with the NC AG's office, and was told that the land lord or his agent may carry concealed or exposed on the property, providing he is not restricted by law from possessing a handgun.
12/9/2008 3:47:18 PM
on the guy on here offering the class, he got back with me, sometime this weekend would work well for me. I need to find a holster that will fit my 22/45, and maybe a new red dot for it as my old red dot got put back on the calico.
12/9/2008 5:10:42 PM
Charlie Lett is a great guy. The course is only worth $60. Those other joints charging double are ripping you off.
12/9/2008 9:24:31 PM
I have a full size Springfield loaded 1911 that I would be willing to trade for a smaller 1911. It has a little holster wear but not bad at all and I have 5 mags (I think 5) for it and the leather holster that I got from pdhsc (a local guy makes them).I am only willing to trade for another 1911 (smaller version) not sell[Edited on December 10, 2008 at 12:17 AM. Reason : add pic]
12/10/2008 12:17:39 AM
so, i see you have an extended ambi safety on it, and have wooden grip panels stacked on top of rubber ones. If I had a small 1911 i wanted rid of, that would be a great trade.
12/10/2008 12:51:24 AM
Anyone know if that Jims Guns class is $60 and that's all you need to pay to carry? Do you have to pay for the permit too? If so, how much is that?
12/10/2008 11:15:41 AM
After you take the class, the permit is $80 plus $10 for fingerprinting. so another $90. Permit is good for 5 years, renewal is $75.If you need a duplicate made, thats $15From the Wake Co Sherrif's Office (set by state legislature I believe so should be same statewide, except for Durham)
12/10/2008 11:48:57 AM
Charlie is still teaching the class. His number is 919-552-7146. The class is $60 and the permit is close to $80 IIRC. That was 4 years ago.

12/12/2008 12:02:25 AM
I got a class set up for saturday and one of the guys hasn't gotten back to me (and he was gonna bring some friends) so we have room for 3-4 more people (depending on shooting experience)let me know if you are interested

Looking for a Ruger 10/22 in any condition. Any .22 other than Mossberg 702 considered.
12/14/2008 7:53:46 PM
you want stainless? wood or synthetic?
12/15/2008 1:04:58 PM
Dont matter. I am just looking for a decent deal on any .22 for a simple truck gun. I just dont like the mossberg personally. Marlin, Savage, Ruger and others considered
12/15/2008 7:19:51 PM
call up some pawn shops and see if they have a Marlin Model 60. you should be able to find them for under $75 all day. And those Model 60s will out shoot a stock 10/22 period! and since you are just wantin it for a truck gun that would be a good choice, if you want to modify it though, get a 10/22
12/16/2008 12:16:00 AM
I've got a 10/22 that i'm doing a ultimate build on, but I want a cheap .22 to take in the woods and stuff. I love my 10/22 though!!!
12/16/2008 8:31:15 AM

Looking for some factory Sig P226 mags in 9mm if anyone has some local.
12/16/2008 9:57:56 PM
Anybody interested in a ugly gun? Intratec TEC-22, with all paperwork, factory hard case, 1 factory long mag, 1 aftermarket 50 round mag, both function 100% if you use high velocity 22 ammo and keep it lubed and clean.
12/16/2008 10:49:30 PM
^ is that tec-22 full auto or not? just wondering since you said you had the "paperwork". how much are you asking for it?
12/16/2008 11:32:02 PM
paperwork as in the original factory paperwork. I am not the first owner, but this gun was sold with all the original items with it. This gun IS SEMI AUTO ONLY. It has been tested, the catch spur on the trigger extension works 100% of the time, and all factory parts are uncut, no worn/filed trigger group items. All that said, if this was a transferable tec 22, it would not be listed on TWW
12/17/2008 12:42:22 AM
12/17/2008 1:58:08 AM
^^ so how much are you asking for it then? And jw, but is this classified as a semi auto handgun, rifle, or short barreled rifle?
