manteo sunset via my cellphone

Here is a sunset from Penguin Isle restaurant's back porch, taken with my 30D. It is a stitch from over a dozen images. After I merged them all, the final file size of the .psd file was over 150 mb.http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=221788930&size=o[Edited on August 22, 2006 at 4:35 PM. Reason : .]

Maybe the thread won't die. Here's something random.

Skack didn't take this photo. It ended up on my camera after a party though, so I'll claim copyright.

^ i like those...where'd you take them at?
8/25/2006 10:24:46 AM
^Thanks. All of them except the first one were taken in China. Most of which were taken in Lijiang but the building was in Hong Kong.
8/25/2006 5:45:48 PM
that's awesome
8/25/2006 5:52:51 PM

Nice shots Ronny. I really like the sandals in the sand, the running shoes and the broken window photos. What macro lens are you using?

8/26/2006 8:43:34 PM
^you don't see any noise?^^^btw, what body?
8/26/2006 8:51:12 PM
yeah, there is some noise, especially at full resolution. not as bad as a lot of bodies, though. the only post processing was some straightening of the building. i was driving in the car and took the shot at a stoplight so there wasn't much careful composition done.shot with the D50 and 18-70 nikkor.
8/26/2006 10:03:17 PM
^^ for iso1600 i expected a lot more.
8/26/2006 10:27:00 PM
^it's definitely not bad - but that's clearly a different standard than not "any" visible.
8/26/2006 10:40:25 PM
a little focus error in this one. i like the color, though.
8/27/2006 4:39:57 PM
Nothing great, but I thought they were still interesting shots.

Hey guys, I am trying to decide between the Canon S3 or going all out with the XT. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions in the matter?
8/27/2006 11:16:12 PM
i can hardly believe that charlotte shot is at 1600...holy.crap.

well got an early B-day present today, the wifey picked me up the new Canon Rebel XTi w/kit lens, and a PNY 1GB card, have the battery charging and can't wait to take some shots and get used to this, one of the best B-day presents I've got in a long time!

I'm not sure which composition I like better, the horizontal or the vertical. This is just some random spider I found outside my garage during my trip home to the beach this past weekend.
9/17/2006 8:44:20 PM
You should've gotten in it's face
9/17/2006 8:45:31 PM
Ronny, I much prefer the vertical orientation.Last night after work:If I'd had a tripod, most everything would have come out better

Oh cool, the fountains are back on on Centennial. I need to go walk around.
9/17/2006 9:47:15 PM
All of those are nice shots. Ronny, I think I'm more partial to the vertical shot of the spider. I tried to get a shot of one last weekend, and as I was moving through the flowerbed back home it took off up the web and went into hiding. Oh well.Waterdrops on a recently painted car:
