The period is correct. It wasn't a question or a statement conveying excitement.

Quote :
"the cocktail buffet is like a shower or whatever, not actually part of the wedding. idk if that changes anything. the bridesmaids/women's brunch is at the fiance's grandparents' restaurant (big hearty fattening breakfasts). the rehearsal dinner is ummm at the same place i think. the wedding is at old sheldon church ruins outside of beaufort. the reception is at the uncle's restaurant in downtown beaufort that's like a fancier offshoot (& oyster bar) of the grandparents' restaurant. "

those are the various events i'll have to go to. the old sheldon church ruins are, well, ruins. it's outside. i think it's at 4 or 5pm.

I think the cut and color of the dress are fine. The jersey cotton blend makes it a bit more informal. So, you may need to pay extra attention to your accessories, and dress it up with your shoes/possible wrap, etc. I think if you do that, it'll work for all of those events.

it'd be nice if both work, but we'll see. the more i look at the teal one, the more i like it.

The teal one is pretty, but I also like the black one. The great thing about maternity dresses is that typically, they still work after you've had the baby. It usually takes months to get back to whatever shape you were in prior to the baby, so it's great to have maternity clothes that also work during the post-pregnancy period.

Hey Ladies!!

I haven't been on TWW much lately, but I thought I'd share my latest splurge. I'm going on a trip to Germany and the UK next week, and the weather forecast is "40 and raining!" I was at the camping store and they had a big sale on winter gear. (We didn't have much of a winter in Charleston this year, and it's already getting pretty hot!)

I plunked down $200 for this jacket ... on a good note it was marked down from $400!! I think it's perfect to travel because it's very warm and semi-waterproof but not bulky. I want to put everything in a carry-on bag! The jacket has a nice, fitted structure that hugs my waist just right.

I went on the website and apparently the dress I got only comes in petite so I ended up getting the right size after all

Linda, I also got the Lush deodorant you were telling me about yesterday.

They had a couple in the all black snakeskin. We were at Crabtree. There were some other great shoes and flats on sale too.

These shoes are on the website for $79.99 right now

It's almost worth it to me to check Southpoint this week because they're great for work, and they look good for fun (I had on some black skinny jeans when I tried them on, and they look so good haha)

you need a cognac brown wedge sandal

(more of a lighter reddish brown that can go with black or brown like this http://www.dsw.com/shoe/audrey+brooke+rome+wedge+sandal?prodId=239598&productRef=SEARCH )

but that's all of my opinion I'm giving...y'all don't appreciate my help lol

[Edited on March 19, 2012 at 10:15 PM. Reason : I like the style of the weave in your sandal, but that material (leather?) looks cheap]

oh, i forgot to respond to that post the other day. i'm actually scared to death of those things, but i am a picky person when it comes to clothes, i guess. I do like the diana and casandra versions of the dress- kaori, not so much. since i'm big on bottom I shy away from stuff that isn't at least A-line on the bottom.

i would really like to go for this one but i think my tummy and ass would be out there, even with shapewear

i think this is the next one i'll get unless they come out with some cute summer stuff soon. i hope this one looks cute without a belt, i feel like quite a few of the dress i have from there need the belt or they can look shapeless around the midsection.

i have this dress from a couple years before and a couple other in the same style, it is the bomb.com. it's not as flashy as the others but i reach for those all the time.

vegas? i see you in a leather bikini top and sequined leggings. or a sequined bikini top and leather pants if you wanna be traditional

their actual wrap dresses are awesome too. i got this one a couple months ago but haven't worn it yet because i don't have brown boots. finally got some sandal weather so i guess i should get it out soon.

wow! i love this infinity tunic. the price isn't bad compared to the dresses either, this is on my list i guess.

Omg - I LOVE the first one. I Wish it wasn't $120 though - not sure I can justify that right now after my bender this weekend. Does that stuff ever go on sale? And how in the fuck is that model considered "plus size"? I wear a size 10-ish and I'm pretty sure I'm bigger than her.

The first one is cuter, but if you say you're larger on the bottom, then the second one works (and it's still cute).

yeah, i'm tempted to size up on the first. i have this one which is kinda the same as the second

they keep doing studies that show that people are not positively affected by true plus size models. blah, i disagree with them!

I just thought the whole thing was wrong for her, it looks cool and apparently people liked it. I think it does no justice for her body.

I like the top of the dress, and I sort of like the bottom, but it is falling awkwardly in that pose. But, it fits the character she's promoting well, and I like dresses that aren't plain and boring for premiers. Love the color and the detail.

She really pulls off the dress, but it would not work for most people.

I can't tell if it's made out of quality material or cheap material from the picture, which would have a profound impact on my final decision for that dress.

not to be rude but those shoes are all sorts of wrong with that dress. you should look for a fun metallic flat to wear with the dress. i'm thinking a gold gladiator would look thebomb.com.

i agree. metallic gladiators, a color, that reddish brown or lighter (as in weight) sandal. those wedges are just too heavy IMO (the strap is so thick) and don't really compliment the dress at all.

the dress rocks though

i like these...feel free to disagree with my taste as well, heh
