melee haste nerf confirmed really getting fucking tired of blizz trying to balance rogue damage with caster damage when all we can do is damage while casters can do orders of magnitude more and can spec into different rolls. it's a real slap in the face after the wf nerf.atleast I can wreck non res-stacking casters that don't have pvp specs..

FARM STATUS!!!!!
8/18/2007 6:50:15 PM
bah i dont raid a lot with my rogue but still in 5 mans and farming that is gonna suck
8/18/2007 6:59:00 PM
well atleast it isn't as bad as ranged haste. Which fucks up your shot cycle.
8/18/2007 7:04:12 PM
it doesn't fuck it up that much. anything over 2.9 speed and your shot cycle wil be very minimally effected by haste. even when you do clip your autos a small amount your dps will still go up due to the lower cast time on steady shot
8/18/2007 7:09:04 PM
Hunter is the only class where you have to look at haste and think "hmm, is this going to make me do less dps" and then calculate it based on forumlas and mechanics that aren't explained anywhere in the game.Whereas for rogues its "haste good i press 2 buttans fastar"
8/18/2007 7:54:51 PM
that's true... but as a general rule haste is still good for hunters. as long as it doesn't bring your shot speed under 2.0 wts castsequence macro

Is today a downtime maintenance day or rolling restart day?
8/21/2007 8:38:12 AM
Beginning at 5:00 AM PDT, August 21, all realms will begin a series of rolling restarts. Each realm will be down for no more than 15 minutes. The overall process will last approximately 1 hour. Thank you very much for your patience during this time frame.[ Post edited by Vehldane ]

it's not that hard... if you have a single 70 on it that's pretty much a guarenteed 90 bucks from gamepal.com... 2 70s will knock the price up another 30-40 bucks, depending on how stripable your account is...although it's really just an automated system... pay x for levels, pay y for reputations, pay z for mounts, pay q for tier sets...[Edited on August 23, 2007 at 11:08 AM. Wonder what I could pull on ebay for a packaged deal with 2 accounts/5 70's
8/23/2007 11:16:17 AM
It seems like Ebay has really cracked down. I never see any characters on there. I'm sure there is another venue people are using if you know where to look.
8/23/2007 11:43:36 AM
an account you can sell for around 900 dollars on ebay will net you around 250-300 from sites like gamepal... they typically look for about a 300% markup on accounts... cost of doing business unfortunately with the insane amoutn of accounts that get stolen back, or banned outright by blizzardebay sweeps through about once a week (maybe more now) and deletes all online property... selling it there is kinda unreliable...[Edited on August 23, 2007 at 11:48 AM. 11 days to 70 is really fucking fast lol unless you are following some powerlevling guide to a T I guess. I remember hitting 60 in 11 days for most classes was pretty damn fast unless it was your 3rd or 4th char. Obviously it goes faster each time as you know what quests and such blow and what you can knock out quick. My first char was my shaman and it took 20 days to hit 60 .
8/23/2007 2:03:59 PM
"Pmore PUG" on Medivh has now taken down Void Reaver. We are the 4th best "guild" on the server.Yeah I know that by this point it is more just a conglomeration of people from 15 or 16 guilds than a PUG. Whatever. We still own.
8/23/2007 2:06:15 PM
i hit 70 in 10 days 22 hours on my hunter. one of the many reasons i got into my guild even tho i can't raid.but i guess for reference ... im leveling a warlock since hunters blow dick ... im 43 with 2 days 16 hours playedand this'll be my 8th character i've leveled to max. 6 60's 2 70'sshaman rogue warrior rogue rogue druid .... hunter warlock[Edited on August 23, 2007 at 2:12 PM. Yeah I wanna say my rogue hit 60 around 14 days, my mage like 11ish, but I also do stupid shit like dick around in town or run myself through things so that slows it down a bit. Ive been trying to figure out if straight grinding is the fastest way or trying to knock out quests. Problem with questing is there is generally a lot of wasted time in traveling especially pre 40.

4) leveled while at school, work, or getting drunk via botting and don't care how much they get. That said, paying like 40 for the game+exp....I doubt i'd ever sell a 70 for 70 bucks. that's just absurd. i sold my druid for around 600 and i felt like i was giving that guy an amazing deal ... there's no way i'd ever sell a char for less than like 200
8/24/2007 2:07:09 AM
Dagger build depends on what you're trying to do.Mut is pretty popular for both pve and pvp (one puts into combat, the other sub). Combat daggers is good for pve too.
8/24/2007 2:19:52 AM
seems like a bunch of people are thinking of quitting, I'm getting pretty bored too
8/24/2007 2:26:28 AM
mut is poop for pve.
8/24/2007 4:21:59 AM
mut sucks for high level pvp because of its reliance on crit, but i wouldn't say it's crap, especially if you know what you're doing.that being said i'm combat swords and love it
8/24/2007 7:19:16 AM
I rarely get bored because when I do I just make another character, I have a priest lvling up and a warlock and warrior both closing in on 39 for twinking out, already got most of the best gear possible with BC enchants for them so that should prove fun on days Im bored.
8/24/2007 8:26:05 AM
mutilate is the highest damage per energy attack a rogue can have. 41-20-0 is decent dps raiding with exceptional gear and player. daggers kinda suck balls for pvp though. you could try a build I made up that was really fun for pvp and actually decent in pve, 18-22-21. get prep, serrated blades, lethality, imp EA, malice, relentless, offhand spec and blade flurry. works with whatever weapons you want.
8/24/2007 8:29:30 AM
Where do you guys sell your stuff now that ebay is pretty much out of the picture? I got a 70 pally and a 60 lock I'd like to get rid of.[Edited on August 24, 2007 at 10:06 AM. Reason : :]
8/24/2007 10:06:13 AM
horde or alliance?
8/24/2007 10:06:50 AM
I don't understand how Mutilate can be a good raid build when most every boss is immune to poisons and that is the meat and potatoes of the damage. Maybe I am wrong since I have not raided with my rogue since BC came out and only had a short time to get to know Mutilate, but from what I have heard now Combat Daggers is still the best raid damage there it.
8/24/2007 10:29:03 AM
very few bosses are immune to poisons.curator, void walker, hydross (? i forget) are the only ones that come to mind.also for high end raid damage combat swords generally top the charts. there's also a weird fist/dagger spec that is supposed to be wicked if you have the gear for it.[Edited on August 24, 2007 at 10:35 AM. Ive been pretty happy with combat fists as a good all around build for pve, pvp as well as farming. I really wanna put 5 points back into MoD but dont have anything i really wanna sacrifice. 2v2 arena though its hurting though when the other rogue always gets the jump on me.
8/24/2007 10:37:59 AM
the thing that sucks about fists is that the highest PVE drop is from the first boss in the eye which has less dps than the arena 2 weapons. there are no BT or hyjal fist drops at this time.
8/24/2007 10:56:11 AM
Yep that is very true, I was hoping they were gonna add a fist weapon craftable by JC or something in the last patch when they added new patterns and such. Perhaps in the future.
