just looked at the pics on that listing closer - I see a Macy's tag. perhaps she got it on sale or something. I LOVE the bag - the front flap is actually a "secret pocket" that unzips. perfect for hiding flasks in for fball games!

I really like this one too -

the first one I posted I feel isn't done justice by the pics. I think it will be great for an everyday bag, plus I am a pocket fetishist so the secret pocket makes me moist just thinking about it.

I am sending the link to the green one to my sugardaddy settledown. here's to hoping.

how about you send him this marc jacobs bag I want and then ship it to me?

Also I don't dig shoulder bags like that unless there's a strap to make it a crossbody as well.

The gold one GREENJAY posted caught my eye as soon as I went to the sample sale site

if any of you need help verifying the authenticity of a kate spade bag, ask me

I'm a kate spade collector/snob

in my free time I go on ebay and report all the fake bags and send the sellers passive aggressive messages

slappy1 - that bag seems legit, but I would need a pic from the side to be sure

^^that is awesome/very interesting. how can you tell just from the pics? how has ebay reacted to you reporting fake ones? how did you get so into kate spade? (my only other item of hers is my iphone cover that my sister bought me)

eBay appreciates people reporting fakes. there's a lot of tools and tips on their site for how to spot them.

I first got in to ks in 2000. I bought a red nylon claire bag and it was sturdy, easy to clean, fashionable... there was no reason not to like it. I met my bff sophomore year because we had the same bag and I struck up a conversation with her because she had the matching wallet and I wanted to know where she got it (at the time there were only two stores in raleigh and one in chapel hill that carried ks and I had been to all of them). I started looking online and in consignment stores and saw there were a lot of fakes out there. I'm a big advocate of not buying counterfeit goods, regardless of the designer/price. I started researching how to spot fakes, which included looking through all of the ks handbag collections. it just evolved in to a hobby, and I've been trying to get at least one item from every collection. unfortunately this hobby became too expensive, so now I just ogle at bags on ebay.

Leggings confuse me so much!

On one hand, leggings are not pants (or are they?) what's the difference between tights & leggings?

Dont forget about footless tights!

The biggest difference between tights and leggings: Leggings are made from fabric and sewn together with a machine and therefore will have an seam on the inside of the leg. Tights are made on a knitting machine and then wont have any seams going up the leg.

And depends on the leggings and/or person if they are pants or not. I feel that if the fabric of the legging is thick enough (so as to not to show lumps and such on your thighs) and has back pockets, fly stitching and such then they are pants. But I still wouldnt wear with a top that ends higher than my crotch.

There are a lot of leggings that have no construction detailing up top and are made with a thinner fabric, that need to be worn with longer tops- like mid thigh at the shortest.

I feel like I may need some bright colors in the same length/style aas the chino chic skimmers. You should email someone about that. The ones I got are so comfortable, and I feel like they look pretty good and will look awesome with the short dresses.

hue makes a lot of fun footless tights for when it gets a little warmer

from kinda sheer to opaque (sure megameg can go into detail)

As well as spanx (which I like because I get that nice hold in my tummy and thigh area)...and I have some fun patterns in the footless

[Edited on March 6, 2012 at 11:20 AM. Reason : plugging spanx]

The chino skimmer comes in a couple "brighter" colors. Paradise Pink and Apple Red are available on Hue.com

We did a lot more of the brighter colors in the "classic jeans capri". Macys online has them available:

are the spanx variety comfortable? I have a spanx girdle thing for under dresses (worn MAYBE once/year) and I can't imagine wearing that on a day-to-day basis. it is very restrictive. but I love how firm my midsection feels, not gonna lie.

Well I think they feel better as tights than as a shaper, because there's less chance of it rolling up on the leg (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about).

They aren't as tight on your body as tights unless you get the reversible spanx...I find those to hold you in EVERYWHERE. I also have the opaque tights that come all the way up to my bra, and I like those as well (wearing them today actually).

The footless sheer/patterned spanx just have the control in the tummy and through the hip with the line on the thigh. The part on your leg does control a little, but its sheer and not as thick.

in a similar vein, I remember seeing a thread (or was it here?) about leggings to wear while working out, that provided that "control", which was supposed to help with impact activities. thouts [sic]?

sorry if this is old news (I tried looking for it) but I really never wear thongs, but I could not find a pair of workout undies that didn't ride eventually. These are from Moving Comfort, and honestly does not feel like I am wearing underwear, let alone a thong. Highly recommend this!

yea, it doesn't feel right if I don't since I wear shorts and paranoid someone can see my twat hanging out. But still a very comfortable thong if you are looking for one.

I know plenty of folks that don't wear underwear when they work out...self included. Perhaps it's from years as a dancer, but I hate the feeling

and since I wear workout clothes practically all the time, I rarely wear undies. I'm house/pet sitting for the week and I only packed 1 pair

I only ditch the panties when I'm doing my husband - seriously. I just don't feel right without them! I'll go with a nude seamless thong if the attire calls for it, but I love me some cheeky VS lace panties, and my UA mesh panties for workouts.

SOOOOO.... I would love some tips on bachelorette party activities. I already need to email miss elkaybie on the subject, but if any of you ladies have some thoughts on an NYC party, I'd love to hear them. I've been to a grand total of two such parties, and don't even know where to start

I went to a NYC bachelorette party last year. 4 days. 15 girls. Crazy but fun weekend. Here's our itinerary:

Day/Night 1: due to travel delays, we were late getting in. Stayed at Marriott by Lexington. Were exhausted, so settled for cocktails at the W hotel bar/club next door. Fun scene.
Day 2: shopping and spa by day, Wicked and nightclubs by night. Beauty & Essex was an awesome club! Speakeasy style + feminine decor + champagne in ladies room.
Day 3: shopping/spa/exploring by day. Dinner at BLT steak (yum!) followed by sex and the city tour in limos (we went to different bars and sites from sex and the city)
Day 4: leisurely breakfast and shopping, fly home

I have a list of good restaurants and clubs we visited. Let me know if you need recommendations! NYC is great for girls' trips and bachelorette parties!
