Damn, it would be amazing if we snagged Amilé and had 4 burger stars in 1 class.*must not get hopes up*

http://packinsider.com/2012/02/amile-jefferson-update-210/Fwiw, PI (lol) update on Amile Jefferson's recruitment...not much to the post, though.[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 10:52 AM. Reason : link]

Their opinion is that the other opinions are wrong, unlike their opinion which is indeed right.

eFG requires complex integration]
2/10/2012 11:12:32 AM
Sorry, I know this is a stupid question, but it's been driving me nuts. How do you properly pronounce Jefferson's first name? Is it supposed to sound like "Ah-meal" or "Ami-lee" (like Emily with an "A"), or something else?\/, \/\/\/: cool, thanks.[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 11:26 AM. Reason : thx]
2/10/2012 11:21:11 AM
first, i'm pretty sure
2/10/2012 11:23:09 AM
are we even attempting to throw our hat in the ring for parker?
2/10/2012 11:23:32 AM
Uh-Meel.
2/10/2012 11:23:34 AM
2/10/2012 11:34:31 AM
I'm hoping the fact that we were after Jefferson from the beginning sways the decision in our favor.
2/10/2012 11:35:11 AM
^^ perhaps.I'll stick to just calling him "Jefferson" from here on out.[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 11:38 AM. Reason : Good Times]
2/10/2012 11:37:59 AM
The fact that we already have 3 McD AA's in the class and he would make it 4 has me feeling a lot better about our chances than I did a week or two ago. I can't imagine being in his shoes, having to choose between an established, guaranteed winning coach/program versus the potential and "what-if" thoughts that must be going through his head when he thinks about rounding out a 4 McD AA recruiting class and the hype and impact they could create.
2/10/2012 11:40:22 AM
that PI pic would have been 10x better if they had used staats battle instead of wood.
2/10/2012 11:47:25 AM
anyone know the last class that had 4 McDAAs? Or how many there have been?nevermind, Kentucky had a 4-man McDAA class in 2011UNC did it in 2009 Duke did it in 2002 and 1999Michigan also did it in 1991 with the Fab 5 class[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 11:59 AM. Scooter started on two tourney teamsGet the fuck out[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 3:45 PM. Reason : Leslie has been a good player for half a season. Read the damn quote]]
2/10/2012 3:44:12 PM
Again, how is a role player more of a contributor to the team as opposed to someone who fuels the entire offense?
2/10/2012 3:51:37 PM
Leslie is undoubtedly the better player and has a chance to leave one hell of a legacy if he sticks around three or four years. But Scooter did more than CJ has done so far. Not sure what the fuck you mean by role player. Dude started and dude went to the tourney and dude won a game in the tourney. CJ hasn't done shit.]
2/10/2012 3:53:56 PM
now I'm confused[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 3:54 PM. Reason : .]
2/10/2012 3:54:05 PM
Oh banjo...
2/10/2012 3:54:26 PM
Banjo Guy is seriously dumb as fuckWhere did he come from
2/10/2012 3:55:34 PM
Both guys would (provided this season ends well) help end long no-NCAA streaksAnd Leslie is a lot closer to whoever the best player is on this team (Brown? CJW?) than Scooter was to Grundy or Jules
2/10/2012 3:56:40 PM
saying leslie fuels the entire offense is a bit of a hyperbole...When your entire starting lineup is averaging double digits in scoring, nobody single handedly "fuels" the offense[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 3:57 PM. Reason : el]
2/10/2012 3:56:50 PM
What? Hodge, Melvin and maybe even Evtimov (when healthy) were better contributors to that team. I'm just stating that if CJ were to leave this year he would be a spot above scoot in terms of contribution to the program because he is the main reason we are in the top half of the ACC this year.Saying the CJL is on the same rung as scoot is dumb.[Edited on February 10, 2012 at 3:59 PM. Reason : sd]
2/10/2012 3:58:11 PM
The only caveat to that is I don't think this team is as good as they are this year if you remove any of our top 7 guysEven Alex Johnson is critical since we'd be relying Jaqawn Raymond to spell Zo otherwise
2/10/2012 4:03:03 PM
According to Pomeroy, CJ is less valuable to the offense than Brown or HowellAccording to my eyeballs he is equal in value to all five starters, maybe Brown gets a slight nudge up and CJW gets a slight nudge down.To say he's some runaway beast that's carrying the team on his back is ridiculous. Moreover, it's not at all what the conversation is about. CJ hasn't done shit and the teams he's been on haven't done shit. Scoot was a huge part of successful teams.
2/10/2012 4:11:26 PM
I remember talking about this subject with a friend, and we decided Scooter was our favorite player from undergrad, but we couldn't particularly remember why. We remember him missing like 30 straight 3s or something terrible like that. We remembered him "locking down" Reddick for "only" 27 points, but we won the game so no one cared. I think we decided that we liked him because he was one of the few Herb recruits that actually looked like a basketball player.
2/10/2012 4:11:35 PM
It was that gold tooth and gangsta nickname.
2/10/2012 4:13:11 PM
Oh, I remember now,
2/10/2012 4:21:08 PM
He's got around 1,000 cousins around Rowan County. One's playing on UNC-Ch now.
2/10/2012 4:23:32 PM
Scooter Sherrill being remembered as a good player ITT.
2/10/2012 4:53:11 PM
if Scooter had played for a different coach, he'd be in the NBA right now.
2/10/2012 4:59:22 PM
whoa now, lets not go crazy
2/10/2012 5:15:25 PM
2/10/2012 5:23:51 PM
I will always remember seeing scooter walking around campus carrying his air jordans.
2/10/2012 5:38:25 PM
If you want to check out BeeJay Anya, his DeMatha team is playing against UNC commit Nate Britt and his Gonzaga team on ESPN2 right now. Anya, who we are recruiting and is ranked as the #1 C in the 2013 class, is 6'8", but has a 7'9" wingspan. [Edited on February 10, 2012 at 8:20 PM. Reason : ]

Here is the latest rumor about Jefferson.
2/12/2012 1:46:10 AM
^lol. So Villanova is the home town school and has been recruiting him for a looong time now, but are just NOW putting on a "Big push" to gain his commitment? really? Just now? lol...
2/12/2012 1:52:53 AM
It's actually pronounced AMELIOOOOO as in the Mighty Duck man I swear to god

40% of the time it works every time.

The McDonalds game and our game against Duke this week are going to be very important.
2/13/2012 2:07:27 PM
i'm worried he's going to commit before the McDonald's game. i kind of hope his team keeps winning so he's not able to go to the duke game on thursday. i feel like if he's there and we lose, it can't be good for our chances.
2/13/2012 4:34:53 PM
i fail to see why the mcdonalds game is important.
