It was more than NAFTA btw
Quote :
"At the same time Democrats were saying Trump is a mortal danger who must be impeached, they quietly:
-renewed PATRIOT Act to hand Trump unrestrained spying power
-backed Trump's new NAFTA trade deal
-gave Trump $738B military budget

They're not resisters- they're collaborators."

The budget gripe is largely a cudgel too. Yes, I’d rather we vastly reign in defense spending but if you vote down “money for the troops” and hold the government hostage (especially as a Dem) good luck at election time.

i want them to hold them and debate more articles, enforce subpoenas and investigate more. they should have started impeachment inquiry and enforcing subpoenas after the mueller report. keep the bad headlines coming, don't let them die in the senate.

Democratic Cave to Trump on Border Wall Had an Ulterior Motive
Democrats gave Trump major concessions and leverage in the year-end funding bill so Representative Henry Cuellar could get federal funding for a riverwalk in his district.

Some decent responses early on

Quote :
"Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.): "Soleimani was an enemy of the United States. That’s not a question. The question is this — as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?""

Quote :
"Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.): "Trump Admin owes a full explanation of airstrike reports—all the facts—to Congress&the American people. The present authorizations for use of military force in no way cover starting a possible new war. This step could bring the most consequential military confrontation in decades. My immediate concern is for our brave Americans serving in harm’s way.""

fucking go away
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/hillary-clinton-full-a-fiery-new-documentary-trump-regrets-harsh-words-bernie-1271551
Quote :
"In the doc, you're brutally honest on Sanders: "He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It's all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it." That assessment still hold?

Yes, it does.

If he gets the nomination, will you endorse and campaign for him?

I'm not going to go there yet. We're still in a very vigorous primary season. I will say, however, that it's not only him, it's the culture around him. It's his leadership team. It's his prominent supporters. It's his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women. And I really hope people are paying attention to that because it should be worrisome that he has permitted this culture — not only permitted, [he] seems to really be very much supporting it. And I don't think we want to go down that road again where you campaign by insult and attack and maybe you try to get some distance from it, but you either don't know what your campaign and supporters are doing or you're just giving them a wink and you want them to go after Kamala [Harris] or after Elizabeth [Warren]. I think that that's a pattern that people should take into account when they make their decisions.

Speaking of, he allegedly told Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018 that he didn't think a woman could win, a statement he vigorously denies. How did you digest that?

Well, number one, I think [that sentiment] is untrue, which we should all say loudly. I mean, I did get more votes both in the primary, by about 4 million, and in the general election, by about 3 million. I think that both the press and the public have to really hold everybody running accountable for what they say and what their campaign says and does. That's particularly true with what's going on right now with the Bernie campaign having gone after Elizabeth with a very personal attack on her. Then this argument about whether or not or when he did or didn't say that a woman couldn't be elected, it's part of a pattern. If it were a one-off, you might say, "OK, fine." But he said I was unqualified. I had a lot more experience than he did, and got a lot more done than he had, but that was his attack on me. I just think people need to pay attention because we want, hopefully, to elect a president who's going to try to bring us together, and not either turn a blind eye, or actually reward the kind of insulting, attacking, demeaning, degrading behavior that we've seen from this current administration."

bernie had dozens of rallies for clinton, clinton needs to go the fuck away

the only correct answer when asked if you would support a candidate in the general is "our top priority must be beating donald trump, I will support anyone the party nominates to run against him" or something similar.

(i'll accept someone running giving a "well i plan on being the nominee" response, it's lame but it at least doesn't undermine anyone)

But would her support of Bernie really help him at all? I doubt people would vote for Bernie because Clinton said so.

She's just being a childish sore loser. At this point, having her support would be a negative in my opinion. Almost like a Republican running in a blue state having Trump's endorsement

That isn’t the point at all.

It’s outrageous she would intimate she wouldn’t do all she could for WHOEVER wins the nomination. FFS, Trump still leads “lock her up” chants daily.

she's a significant name in the democratic party and still has a large base of support, what she says about things does matter for the democratic primary

it's irresponsible to not say she would support sanders if he is the nominee, and downright deplorable considering who the nominee is running against and also how hard sanders in particular worked to try to get her elected

it's basically a reverse-horosho only she's someone that people listen too

Make no mistake. Hillary prefers Trump and has a lot to lose with a Sanders presidency. Those "lock her up" chants don't bother her one bit because she's smart enough to know they are just fresh meat for Trump's proles and even if he was serious, we know she could never be locked up. Lets be real. Trump is impeached just for suggesting the possibility of investigating Biden and she's several times more untouchable.

Don't forget they were all friends before Trump brought Bill with him to bang models

Yeah I won't vote for them because they, like Trump, are too far right.

The criticism of Bernie is about him not being far enough to the right.

And another scumbag move they're considering

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/31/dnc-superdelegates-110083

Quote :
"In conversations on the sidelines of a DNC executive committee meeting and in telephone calls and texts in recent days, about a half-dozen members have discussed the possibility of a policy reversal to ensure that so-called superdelegates can vote on the first ballot at the party’s national convention. Such a move would increase the influence of DNC members, members of Congress and other top party officials, who now must wait until the second ballot to have their say if the convention is contested."

Well they thought they could make it look fair by getting a bunch of candidates to run, giving them debate time with no undercard and split the vote to guarantee a second ballot. It initially worked because a lot of the general public said "look, they took superdelegates off the first ballot, they are fair now" but now the collapse of Warren and Biden have them worried that they won't even survive to see their master plan kick in.

They are going to fix it. The only question is the degree of transparency that will be involved in their fix. The trial's affect on the iowa (and beyond) results may allow them to maintain the subtleness of their strategy.

This primary is getting very dark. Darker than 2008.

Bending the rules to keep Yang out of the debates and Bloomberg in is a really bad move. It’s making it clearer to me that we need Bernie to dismantle the old guard DNC and bring in an more egalitarian philosophy.

If you read that Politico article closely:

WOW!!!! The author was able to find 6 delegates out of 400+ Willing to talk about rigging the superdelegate process. Sounds like a slam dunk plan. Every person in a leadership position expounded on how terrible of an idea it is. A better title would have been “DNC leadership refuses to tamper with delegate voting process.”

In case it wasn’t clear to everyone, Now to the election is going to be a constant stream of Bernie Bros flying off the handle to every perceived (real or imagined) slight. And you can be sure the clickbait political writers are gonna rise to the occasion and feed that beast.

Buttar advanced to the general. We're coming for Pelosi in November!
https://theintercept.com/2020/03/04/super-tuesday-primaries-california-pelosi-shahid-buttar/
Quote :
"“Shahid going 1-1 against Nancy will shine a spotlight on precisely how little she has done for the district in the midst of a housing crisis, an opioid crisis, and an out-of-control cost of living. The election will also reveal her role in exacerbating these issues, that remain at the forefront of voters minds both today and in November.”"

Its a longshot, but theres gotta be some chance people will step outside between now and november, open their eyes and see whats happening around them.
