was it immediately at the start of a match? Like you spawned, sprinted, and then got 'naded? I know a few points on Dome, Carbon, and Mission that I can toss a grenade right at the start and usually get a kill or at least "paint" 2-3 targets on my map with the recon perk.

Other than that, it's mainly luck and knowing some of the choke points in various maps.


I miss the days of COD 4 and Shipment where I would just run around with Frag x2 and my shotgun and absolutely destroy people.

I was aware that I had run in the spawn. I wouldn't have called it in if I had really cared to go flawless for the match. You have to limit your gun fights to one or two opponents when going for the MOAB. This was probably the 3rd match I had actively gone for it.

If you don't like the ACR give the G36C a try. I think they're the best two assault rifles, but they're good at different things.

They're both great all-round, but the ACR is known for it's long range capabilities while the G36C is a beast a mid range encounters. The G36 has a faster draw time, approaching that of a SMG, and a slower reload time. The ACR has a faster reload time, while taking longer to draw.

the G36C has a terrible recoil after the 4th bullet when firing automatically. check it out for yourself. the first 3 shots will land on target and then all the sudden the gun will jump straight up causing your next set of shots to go wildly above your target. using a silencer or the kick proficiency only helps marginally.

and in my opinion the clip size is way too small. extended mags or scavenger on that gun is a must if you plan to mount any kind of long assault streaks with it.

FWIW DLC doesn't have to be maps. They're going to put out all kinds of stuff it seems. Could be extra campaign missions or things like that.

The one map...Piazza or w/e...looks like a PP90M1 and/or striker heaven.

Piazza definitely looks like Shotgun heaven. reminds me of the Akimbo 1887 massacres you would run into in the alleys of Favela on MW2. Hopefully there is more to the map than that.



I was so rusty upon mounting last night, it's amazing how your game can completely fall off in a 2 day break. I couldn't seem to get my aim on target, zeroing in slighty to the left or right of each enemy. Finally I bounced back and had some good games. Ran into a "clan" of snipers for several matches. They would put 4 guys in each of the 4 corners of the map and just sit there with the other two running around in the center. It was some of the worst gameplay i've ever had, and even though we won it was almost enough to rage quit.

do you really need a red dot on the PP90? I mean if most of your kills are close quarters I would much rather have extended mags than a red dot. especially when you should be hip firing that bad boy most of the time.

Maybe it's my play style with SMGs but I never see any reason to use a red dot unless it's to get the 500 XP bonus.

same with the UMP and rapid fire. I always feel like you get 3, maybe 4, kills with it and then you are low on ammo and searching for a replacement. Extended mags can get you 4 kills before your first reload.

but anyways, those are all good classes.

oh trust me, i die way too many times from subconsciously drawing the gun up to aim instead of just hip firing. it's just a bad habit since much of my game revolves around mid-long range kills.

i've slowly gotten better at starting to hip fire at the target while at the same time drawing the gun up to aim.

and honestly, running akimbo MP9 on a couple classes has really helped break my crutch of aiming first.

I have a lot of trouble getting myself to hip fire too.

Also, I have been trying to complete all the PP90M1 challenges and I can't figure out what the point of the holo sight is vs the red dot. It doesn't really do anything else except take up more screen real estate. I know the difference in real life but the benefits don't exactly translate to video game world unless I am missing something.

no real difference. the holo-sight gives you slightly more zoom than the red dot, but at a loss of peripheral vision due to the size of the sight.

if i'm trying to gain XP i use the holo, get the necessary kills to complete the challenge, and dump it faster than a prom night baby.

Once you hit the bonus you get all the perks. Do you get pro for each perk you have pro for? I know in your ladder if you choose sitrep pro for your 1-3 spot you get the pro version, but if you don't have it set there will you get increased footsteps once you hit the bonus? Or will you just get enemy equipment visuals.

it becomes real easy to make yourself hipfire in the appropriate situations with a MK14 with Thermal

you know it would take way too long to aim down sights, then find the target in your scope, then squeeze off a couple rounds

so you just hipfire a couple times, but luckily with something that powerful, a shot or two at close range gets a kill

I love outing players with high K-D rations for the true phonies that a lot of them turn out to be. We found ourselves in a lobby last night with a couple players with the same clan tag, third prestige, and +3.0 K-Ds. We dominated them for 5 straight matches including my teammate going 36-3 in one and finally forced them to rage quit after pretty much getting the entire lobby to start calling them phonies over the mics.
