Who do I play at flex, Braylon or Washington in a PPR league?I know Panthro is down on Braylon, but he was a top-3 receiver in 07 in PPR and non-PPR leagues and Ryan already said he was starting on Monday and Miami's secondary doesn't scare me

10/7/2009 9:08:06 PM
Burleson has been fairly productive even with Wallace at QBStill Massoquai is a #1 WR now, albeit for the Browns, but Seattle's offense is nothing spectacular eithertough call]
10/7/2009 9:12:27 PM
gd, i know it's a tough call. That's why I posted it. I'm not going to post shit like "Should I start Tom Brady over Brodie Croyle??"
10/7/2009 9:16:44 PM
just giving my 2 centsand what do you think, Braylon or L Wash
10/7/2009 10:07:27 PM
leon because they wont be able to run and will need a lot of dumpoffs
10/7/2009 10:17:22 PM
^^Washington.Housh, or Percy Harvin for my flex spot?
10/7/2009 10:57:21 PM
garcon vs tennorharvin vs stl[Edited on October 7, 2009 at 11:37 PM. Reason : please give a reason too...just blind saying a name means nothing to me]
10/7/2009 11:33:21 PM
^^ Harvin for your flex. He is a dual threat as a runner and receiver and he should see alot of action against STL. ^ Contrary to what I said up there I think Garcon has a better matchup. Tennessee's pass defense is in shambles due to injury, but they can stop the run effectively. Manning will have a big game and Garcon will benefit.
10/7/2009 11:48:24 PM
both defenses suck...favre won't have the packers monkey on his back so ADP will get more touches...and Peyton is a better QB and Indy throws plenty...I'd run Garcon
10/7/2009 11:48:46 PM
sweet thanks
10/7/2009 11:56:37 PM
so would you play roddy white vs sf over harvin vs stl?i right now have roddy white...just making sure that is still the right decision
10/8/2009 12:02:53 AM
I'd run Roddy White...he has the potential to get you 20+ points in any given week
10/8/2009 12:04:11 AM
roddy white better do something. his lack of production has been costing me games.
10/8/2009 12:39:42 AM
10/8/2009 7:00:02 AM
now he wants to give me Knox & Hester for Edwards.IDK!
10/8/2009 9:50:21 AM
^ Are you in a PPR league or a league that gives points for return yards?
10/8/2009 9:56:55 AM
Always view a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 trade with the added factor of who you are going to drop to make it work
10/8/2009 9:59:59 AM
^^ yea, its PPR and i get points for return yardage.^ i could drop Mike Wallace, he isn't going to produce like Knox or Hester I would guess anyway.
10/8/2009 10:14:49 AM
In my opinion that is a good trade then. Edwards will take a few games to get acclimated with a new offense and QB so dont expect much from him (not to mention Sanchez is not a deep threat). Knox and Hester are both talented WRs and are also very good returners so you should get plenty of points from them. Only hesitation is that they are on the same team so you will be scrambling on their bye week to fill your roster (which is this weekend by the way).[Edited on October 8, 2009 at 11:14 AM. Reason : bye]
10/8/2009 11:13:19 AM
Pick 2 and one has to be a running backBerrian vs rams (AP should destroy and I have a feeling farve wont have to throw that much)R. White vs SF (hasnt been doing shit for me lately)L. Washington vs Mia (^)J. jones vs jags (meh)M. Massaqoui vs buf (just picked him up since edwards left)I have starting alreadyMJDCotcheryR. Wayne
10/8/2009 11:19:55 AM
I say roddy and JJ
10/8/2009 11:21:41 AM
Ok, so with Walter back healthy(up and down so far) and Roddy White struggling...Pick 3 to start(* means currently starting):Sims-Walker vs. Sea *K. Walter vs. Ari *Housh vs. Jax(starting either Hasselback or Seneca too) *R. White vs. SFP. Garcon vs. Tenn
10/8/2009 12:02:20 PM
I see lots of people benching RoddyThis guy is a top 10 wideout with a top 15 QBHe's going to breakout one of these weeks and he'll finish with 1200 and 8Keep him in your lineups
10/8/2009 12:04:18 PM
Eli vs. OaktownorKurt vs. Astros(well obviously Kurt if Eli doesnt play ... gametime decision....but even if he plays which one)[Edited on October 8, 2009 at 12:15 PM. Reason : ]
10/8/2009 12:12:58 PM
I like Kurt because that game is gonna be in the 70'sOakland has a good pass D, and the Giants will likely be up early and runs Jacobs and Bradshaw all second half
10/8/2009 12:19:58 PM
Start one in my flex slot:Mewelde moore against Det.Desean Jackson against TBBrian Westbrook against TBCotchery against MiaYes, I have a stacked team because it's an 8 team league no PPR. I'm leaning Westbrook, but Desean Jackson has been a bigtime producer thus far and Cotchery may benefit from having Braylon draw some attention.
10/8/2009 12:32:20 PM
^ Desean
10/8/2009 1:07:17 PM
^^ i'll vote desean tooNeed two WR and one WR/RB outta theseRBs (already starting S. Jackson & R. Brown)Knowshon Moreno (NE)Donald Brown (@Ten)Chester Taylor (@StL)Johnathan Stewart (Was)WRsBernard Berrian (@StL)Kevin Walter (@Ari)Dwayne Bowe (Dal) is he 100% yet?Braylon Edwards (@Mia) will he play this week?Nate Burleson (Jac) Hasselback might be back
10/8/2009 1:49:58 PM
Moreno (Buckhalter out means moreno gets the bulk of the work)Berrian (Favre is heating up at just the right time and Berrian can score at any time...Walter(back from injury, and this game will be a shootout. You want a good reciever in a shootout game)
10/8/2009 1:54:04 PM
small league, need 3 WRAndre JohnsonCalvin Johnson Roddy WhiteDwayne BoweKevin WalterI'm thinking AJ CJ and White, but if the Hou/Ari game is a real shootout should I start both Walter and Johnson?
10/8/2009 2:46:22 PM
^I'd start both Johnson's and Roddy White.
10/8/2009 2:47:44 PM
Ok this one is hard for me. Who do I start at flex??McGahee V. CinSteve Smith(NYG) v. OakI know McGahee has been scoring a ton of Td's, but last week he rushed for like 14 yards. Rice is getting most of the touches, so Mcgahee could easily have a game where he gets like 20 yrds 0 tds any time now. What would you do?
10/8/2009 4:57:42 PM
I know its irrational, but I really want to play Massaquoi this week. Partly because of his week last week, and he's a Dawg but I can't justify starting him over Moss and Berrian, and I have Donald Brown at flex.Guess I'll just have to wait
10/8/2009 5:14:19 PM
i really really really want to play Braylon but I'm not gonna do it...I know he doesn't know the system yet, but how much of the system do you have to know to run a slant route or a deep route
10/8/2009 5:17:29 PM
ibt the "good thing I didn't play Braylon" or the "FUCK I knew I should've played Braylon" post that will inevitably follow about 4 days and 5 hours from now
10/8/2009 5:19:20 PM
10/8/2009 5:29:41 PM
This is why you don't start Smith this weekend.a) Eli may not playb) this guy:
10/8/2009 5:46:31 PM
correct.
10/8/2009 5:53:08 PM
need some advice for my W/R spot this week:Nate Washington against Indy or Knowshon Moreno against New England?any thoughts? I think NE's defense is tough, but Denver's offensive line is good too.... Washington has more TDs (3) than Moreno (2) but is Indy's pass defense tough?
10/8/2009 6:37:37 PM
^ if you get more points for receptions, nate may be worth starting, but id probably start morenoquestion: is anyone still holding onto Donnie Avery besides me? and would anyone start him over glen coffee this weekend? i am in a PPR league.
10/8/2009 6:44:24 PM
^^^^ Does that help Manningham? Or does Nicks coming back negate that? I didn't get a chance to see how many snaps he got. I'm trying to fill my W/R spot with 1 of: Kevin Smith, Manningham, Garcon, or Donald Brown. I've got Boldin and Bowe at my receiver spot.
10/8/2009 7:13:14 PM
Give up Schaub and S. Smith (NYG)Get Brees and BerrianWhat do you think?
10/8/2009 9:53:00 PM
hmmm....not sure, the Saints went and got balanced on us...Brees won't have to throw like he used to!pick 2:TO vs CLES. Moss @ CarRice @ STLR. Williams @KC
10/8/2009 9:56:37 PM
^^ schaub and smith are lighting it up, and while brees is doing well as expected, berrian hasn't done shit. i don't think brees by himself is worth that trade
10/8/2009 10:02:28 PM
while Berrian hasn't done much yet, he has been hurt, and he was definitely targeted by Favre in the last game....I dunno, if Berrian does well this weekend I think that could be a pretty good trade for you.i'd try to wait at least and see how this weekend shakes out.Smith had a good game last week, but I wouldn't say he's "lighting it up". He's a good player for sure, but a consistent #1 receiver? Hard to say with NY's offense. [Edited on October 8, 2009 at 10:21 PM. Reason : .]
10/8/2009 10:17:36 PM
i still need someone to replace frank gore for the next several weeks. available in my league are:Mewelde Moore (Pit)Michael Bush (Oak)Heath Evans (NO)Derrick Ward (TB)who should i take?
10/9/2009 12:48:24 AM
Moore should be a good pick this week since Pitt plays Detroit, and Parker is still probably out with turf toe.
10/9/2009 6:48:48 AM
Play Moreno over Nate Washington for sure. Moreno will get the bulk of the carries this week with Buckhalter out...20-25 carries. No, don't play Donnie Avery over Coffee....are you nuts? Even in a PPR league...Avery has sucked. This game will be a shootout, but Avery is just too inconsistent. Coffee will run, run and run some more this week. At least 60 yds and 1 TD.The Giants recievers totally depend on whether manning is out. Even if Manning is out, the Giants will not be passing much in this game. They can win by running the ball all day long, and should do that. I would not start any giants WR if I had better options this weekend. I'd start Kevin Smith, Garvon, and even Donald Brown over Manningham this week.I think that trade is close. Brees>Shaub and Smith>Berrian. I probably wouldn't do it. Ride the hot hand. Smith probably has peaked a bit and will continue to be a WR1/WR2, but I don't think the Giants continue to pass everywhere. Plus Manning's injury concerns me a little. But Berrian isn't exactly a sure thing either. He's got high potential with Favre throwing to him, but he'll be a 15 point or 3 point play the rest of the year IMO.^^Is none of the above an option. None of those players are long-term replacements for Gore for the next few weeks. Moore has the most value of those, with Ward a close second. Moore will have a decent game this week, but will get few carries the rest of the way.
10/9/2009 10:41:24 AM
Maybe Bush since McFadden is injured?
