Fiat 500. Spotted in Mission Valley, pretty fucking badass.
9/28/2011 10:48:57 PM
Verbal spots are pretty boring
9/28/2011 11:18:47 PM
^^ yes they are cute cars. They are new too, but there is a Fiat 500 Dealership out in Cary Auto Mall next to the Dodge and Chevy Dealership. Not really exotic, unless it was an oldschool Fiat 500...
9/29/2011 3:27:50 AM
Yeah, i actually saw one a couple weeks ago. I especially took notice cause that is one of the cars we are looking at for piddlebug
9/29/2011 6:09:20 AM
I can't believe someone mentioned a 500 in the exotic car thread. Plz to turn in your man card, thx.The Fiat 500, much like a Smart car, is really only worth having in a tight urban environment. Nevermind it's inferior to the Mini in almost every objective category.[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 8:40 AM. Reason : (not you Bio)]

I saw a black gallardo drive down fayetteville st. yesterday at lunch... it was sexy

I guess sarcasm needs to be even more obvious for TKE-Teg to understand.
9/29/2011 10:52:09 AM
I saw three different GT-Rs in the last 3 days.

FIX IT AGAIN, TONY"FIAT"
9/29/2011 8:05:59 PM
why would you want an IRON anything on a car these days? you could argue an iron block, but that's just $poor engineering in this day

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ductile iron is stronger than stamped steel while not increasing cost of production significantly. The Fiat's target are Toyota Yaris and other equivalent compact econo-car consumers. Yes there are other materials available, but perhaps using them would mean raising the cost of producing a 500 to higher levels than necessary. Here's one of the old articles I had read:http://www.fiat500usa.com/2010/09/examining-fiat-500-suspension.html[Edited on September 30, 2011 at 3:32 PM. Alright, that's enough discussion of a fucking city car in the exotic thread.
9/30/2011 5:27:19 PM
9/30/2011 9:11:14 PM
^^ "ductile iron" is just cast iron. it's cheap and a base for steel. steel is basically lighter iron - not the element, but the metal you can actually buy, due to higher carbon content with virtually no strength sacrifice. in most cases you can use less steel to bear the same load as more iron. depending on silicone levels one might have shear strength than the other, but this is a car is meant for a city, not offroading.

buddy of mine owns an exotic car rental place in Florida and he's testing it up here this weekend to see how well he could market it in the triangle. He's bringing up a Murcielago, Ferrari California and a Vanquish. He's gonna let me whip one of them around for a while since it's my birthday today. Think I'm gonna drive the Ferrari. it's $140 an hour if anyone wants in on it btw
10/3/2011 6:57:32 AM
I'd take the Murcielago over the California any day
10/3/2011 11:26:59 AM
^Yeah no shit. No brainer for the Murcie. I'd rather test drive a Corvette ZR1 or Viper over a California.

White/Red GT3 RS 4.0 on the back of a flat bed riding through Manhattan Friday mid morning. Had new york plates.

THAT is impressive. I think only around 100 are being brought to the US, out of a production run of 300 (worldwide).
10/4/2011 1:23:53 PM
pfffffft...doesn't top the Fiat 500

^^nice! But it's too bad the US version doesn't get all the goodies the euro ones do. Stupid US regs that have nothing to do with safety
