haha, you got me your sonofabitch
7/23/2008 11:53:28 AM
I don't understand why so many people are bitching about the batman voice. It never really bothered me.
7/23/2008 1:44:49 PM
For the most part it doesn't bother me, but there are just certain lines that he tries to deliver in that voice that end up sounding really corny due to it. The worst offender to my ears was in Begins, when he delivered the "It's not who are underneath, but what we do that defines" line. I cringe everytime I watch that scene, just an awful delivery. I can't recall anything in TDK that stuck out to me as much as that one.
7/23/2008 2:06:01 PM
because it's bad
7/23/2008 2:06:03 PM
^^^ 2ndedIt isn't THAT bad.Granted, in the first movie, he was using it primarily to intimidate bad guys. Here, he's using it while talking to Gordon at crime scenes, etc. so it is just more obvious.BUTIn a comic, it is easy to maintain that his secret identity can't be discovered because that's just the rules you play by. Comic characters don't know who lots of poorly-disguised heroes are. Some just have the eye-disguiser things like Bucky wears, and that's about it.(http://david.ely.fm/davextreme/images/2007/10/12/bucky.png) In a "realistic" Batman world like in this movie, however, he needs as much identity protection as he can get.[Edited on July 23, 2008 at 2:07 PM. 7/23/2008 2:21:28 PM
Yeah he is Richard on Lost and he has tons of eyeliner on there too.
7/23/2008 2:23:22 PM
i was wondering why the mayor had eyeshadow as well
7/23/2008 2:24:21 PM
was he supposed to be Spitzer?
7/23/2008 2:26:25 PM
I was in a meeting yesterday and someone asked me what I thought. It took a lot of restraint for me not to say "It's simple. We kill the batman."
7/23/2008 2:26:44 PM
^that would have been epic. assuming the others didn't live under rocks and had seen TDK
7/23/2008 2:44:06 PM

7/23/2008 8:42:03 PM
7/23/2008 8:44:50 PM
if they didnt have some gay you cant balance out the rest of the movie THAT WOULD TOTALLY MAKE YOUR HEAD EXPLODE!
7/23/2008 8:46:02 PM
7/23/2008 8:53:38 PM
you left off "If you're good at something, don't do it for free."
7/23/2008 8:55:35 PM
LOOK AT ME!!!!
7/23/2008 8:56:26 PM
who am i kidding, all his lines were great.
7/23/2008 8:57:06 PM
i liked the way he never exhibited a second of worry that something would go wrong...ALMOST when he saw the boats weren't exploding, but he was going to detonate them himselfwhen batman is knocking him around the interrogation cell, he was laughing the whole time, never said "ow" or anythingand when he was falling off the skyscraper, he was laughing the whole time there too, no "aahhh!" stuff
7/23/2008 8:57:56 PM
He was laughing when he was falling because he thought he had won and batman killed him. I loved how he explained away the boats not blowing up because the people had Dent to inspire them, and if they had no inspiration they would do anything.
7/23/2008 9:04:29 PM
regardless, he was laughing yo
7/23/2008 9:06:00 PM
7/23/2008 9:07:45 PM
im watching Hunt for Red October, and right when i read ^that i heard them say "never had a plan"
7/23/2008 9:09:25 PM
I keep seeing people talk about Jokers not having a plan, I thought he only said that to Dent to explain away the fact that he was behind Rachel's death. The entire movie revolved around Joker's plans, from the heist at the beginning to the boats at the end, all took a lot of planning. Also I really hope that if there is a third movie two-face isn't dead, they did not go into depth on his character at all
7/23/2008 11:20:21 PM
yea I think that's one of the greatest themes in the movie, how much Joker talks about not having a plan, yet having all of these BRILLIANT plans again and again
7/23/2008 11:26:16 PM
lol, i like the way a lot of people on the past few pages didn't pay attention to the movie at all
7/23/2008 11:29:56 PM
what he said was his plan was chaos. that people don't think you have a plan when you're crazy.
7/23/2008 11:54:28 PM
really didn't do much for meit was good, joker definitely stole the show, but it just left something to be desiredprobably just because it was hyped so much to me, but I actually think I liked Batman Begins more than this one

if your planning on seeing it in IMAX, each show ill probably sell out untill sometime next weekbuy your tickets early ( 3 days to a week, depending on the show)
7/24/2008 3:52:14 AM
I saw it in IMAX on Monday. Freakin' amazing! I liked the movie a lot, but the IMAX "experience" truly made it great and worth the $. While there were little nit-picky things that I didn't like, the overall film was really great and that had to be the best super-hero script... at least IMO.Heath Ledger was (obviously) wonderful. I was enthralled and entertained from beginning to end with every scene he was in. He was the epitome of the worst kind of villian... no morals, no greed (for money), no motivation other than to just be evil. And the lip-licking was def. creepy as hell, but worked great for the character.9/10
